“I said leave me alone” he said.
“But you didn’t say please, did you?” she said.
“LEAVE ME ALONE” he screamed.
“You think people can hear you?” she scoffed.
“Why are you crying like a baby? Why don’t you just accept your fate?” she asked.
“Because this ISN’T my fate! You can’t do this to me!” he cried out.
“Oh, but I can, now watch me.” she chuckled.
“Please, please don’t, I can’t handle this.” he begged.
“Please, please” she mimicked.
“Do I look like I care?” she bursted out.
“No.” he whispered.
“What was that?” she asked.
“No.” he spoke louder.
“Huh?” she urged.
“NO.” he yelled.
“That’s what I thought.” she said with pride.
“Now repeat after me?” she asked.
“Don’t just nod, speak up! You will reply to me young man!” she ruptured.
“Fine. I’ll repeat after you.” he spoke dryly.
“Don’t cut here, there’s veins.” she started.
“Don’t cut here, there’s veins.” he spoke.
“And don’t cut here, it’ll bleed too quickly.” she continued.
“And don’t cu-” he began.
“Why don’t you cut here?” she asked.
“Because it’s a vein.” annoyed, he said.
“Don’t talk to me in that tone of voice. I’m trying to help you.” she spit.
“How is this helping me?” he questioned.
“Because, maybe you’ll learn that life isn’t as important.” she stated.
“By teaching me where not to cut? Why don’t you just do it yourself?” he pried.
“Well, I’m not an idiot, and I won’t have my fingerprints be on you when they come.” she bluntly stated.
“No, but they’ll be on your chairs, and the fireplace stuff, and the axe outside to cut your firewood.” he spoke.
“I’ve been wearing gloves, idiot.” she exclaimed.
“Oh, I didn’t notice.” he laughed.
“Don’t make me slap you again.” she said.
“You wanna know something?” he whimpered.
“Oh boy, here we go.” she spoke sarcastically.
“What?” he asked.
“You think you’re so smart, so you're going to try and think this whole plan, but NEWS FLASH! I have planned this entire thing for three years. Three years!” she explained.
“Why?” he pondered.
“Why? I- ugh! You just think you’re all that, and you’re not! You can’t just come to this town, and decide you are going to break every girl’s heart! I spent my whole life planning my future, and you come in and all the girls swoon over you!” she yelled.
“Come on, you can’t bla-” he tried to say.
“Oh but I will. You are the type of boy who thinks you get whatever you want, right?” she questioned.
“I mean, you’re not wrong.” he chuckled.
“No, I’m not, but you are. You do not get anything anymore. You wonder why I’m making you do this yourself, because I want you to know how it feels to be hurt by you.” she explained.
“Now, cut.” she demanded.
“No.” he replied.
“CUT!” she demanded louder.
“No.” he said, matching her.
“AHH” he screamed.
“Don’t you just hate the smell of burning flesh, it makes me sick, now cut those lines.” she said.
“You maniac.” he spit.
“I prefer psychopath, but thanks anyway.” she spoke.
“There.” he spoke.
“See, it wasn’t that hard. Just a lot of screaming.” she replied.
“I never asked, but how do you know this stuff if we’re in the same grade?”he asked.
“Ha! I can’t believe I’m going to answer you, but I’m killing you anyways so here we go.” she whispered.
“Killing me?!” he exclaimed.
“I have a computer, access to google, and depression. The mix for knowledge. But, I was just fine before you came and decided to mess me up, ya know.” she started.
“You came and went before I knew it, and I finally could properly understand Robert Frost’s poem, the Nothing Gold Can Stay. It applies to memories, too.” she continued.
“So you’re saying this is all my fault?” he whimpered.
“Uhh, I thought that was clear…” she slowly said.
“No. It wasn’t” he said.
“Yo- Yes it was!” she argued.
“Nah, I had a hard time figuring it out.” he spoke.
“You’re lying. Yes! Yes! Yes! It was perfectly clear!” she frantically said.
“No, it wasn’t. You see, you, my darling, are so obsessed with actually killing me, you’re going insane.” he confidently said.
“No.” she said with doubt.
“Yes, sadly.” he said.
“But, I thought I had it all planned out. I thought it was perfect! It was crystal clear!” she freaked.
“Well, I’m sorry, but it’s not.” he said.
“YOU IDIOT! IT’S CLEAR. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!” she yelled.
“What is that noise?” he asked, grinning.
“What noise?” she replied.
“The noise upstairs? It sounded like footsteps, I think.” he said.
“Umm… no. It’s not.” she questioned herself.
“I guess you didn’t plan it out too well.” he whispered.
“Yes I did, you don’t get to say otherwise.” she whispered-exclaimed.
“I think they’re getting closer…” he pried.
“No, they’re not.” she panicked.
“Are they coming down the stairs?” he kept going.
“Shut up. Shut up!” she yelled.
“Think fast, think fast…” she told herself.
“I’d think faster if I was you,” he said.
“Shut up.” she said nervously.
“I mean, is that the handle wiggling?” he asked.
“I hate you, I hate you, I hate you.” she screamed.
“ And I will always love you,” he said with a last breath.
“No.” she whispered.
“Don’t do it!” they said.
“Why not?” she questioned.
“It’s not worth it, trust me.” they replied.
“It’s worth not going to jail, or prison.” she laughed.
“But you’re leaving, for good if you do this.” they said.
“And you think people care?” she asked.
“Well, don’t you have friends, or family?” They spoke.
“None that care that much.” she scuffed.
“Come on, what about a mother, father, sibling?” they pried.
“None. Mother’s an addict, father’s a drunk, and my sister’s dead.” she spoke dryly.
“Well, what about friends?” they asked hopefully.
“Ha! You think I cared about having friends after what that monster did to me?” she yelled.
“What exactly did he do?” they asked.
“No. You’re surrounding me right now. You’re trying to distract me!” she figured out.
“We’re not, just tell me what he did to you.” they said.
“He-” she spoke aloud.
“He what?” they asked.
“He did a terrible thing to me! He took advantage of me, and he had to pay!” she whimpered.
“Why didn’t you just go to an adult?” they questioned.
“An adult! You think I could just walk up to someone like you and explain everything that happened? No! I couldn’t even tell my closest friend, and so they left me because I was ‘too weird’. I was too fucking depressed to be able to keep them.” she explained.
“I’m sure they were trying to help.” they continued.
“Help me? Pft, no. If they wanted to help me, they’d have stayed, and maybe then I wouldn’t have wanted to kill him so badly.” she concluded.
“I think you were just scared, an-”
“You’re right. I was scared, but I’m not now. Now, I’m just tired, and my job in life was completed. So thank you, officer, but I think I’ll go to sleep now.” she ended.
“NO!”
“GET OUT OF THERE!”
“CLEAR OUT! CLEAR OUT!” they all yelled.
“I will always hate you, my love.” she said.
