A Calm Morning

*Sniff* I turned to my side groaning in pain after a day of work from yesterday. I wanted to go back to sleep but I smelled something nice..maybe pumpkin. It kept me awake for some reason. It grew by the minutes like it was suffocating me but in a way that calms you. I don't know why I thought of that but that's all I could think of. My arm tiredly reached for my phone that was on my nightstand. But when I grabbed it checked the time the phone dropped onto my face so I got up and check what time it is...I woke up at 6:03am...I wandered whose was in the kitchen at this time. Normally it's my girlfriend and I but sometimes my older brother comes to check up on me from time to time. But I wanted to know, so I got up and it took me 5 seconds to actually stand however my head immediately stared to hurt so I fell back because my head was hurting like crazy, you know that feeling when you get up way too fast...yeahhh that's what I felt. Now I had a massive headache and now the smell was making it worse. But once I finally got up, I stretched for a bit then slowly walked like an old person. After so many minutes I finally walked into the kitchen then I saw my beautiful girlfriend. Her beautiful curly dark brown hair was put up in a short ponytail. She must've heard me cuz I tend to talk out loud because she told me good morning with that damn pretty smile that even girls with white teeth would be jealous of. She had made coffee for us by the way fun fact about Evelyn is she prefers black coffee and I prefer coffee that has A LOT of milk in it. Eve turned off the stove then placed two vintage places on the counter that's right across from the kitchen. She cooked sunny side up eggs and sausages with toast on the side. Mine had 3 sunny side up eggs, two sausages, and a piece of toast that had cut strawberries on it. Her had 2 sunny side up eggs and two pieces of toast with blueberry jam on it. I asked her concerned, "Hey babe how come your plate doesn't have as much food as mine?" She bluntly said, "I ate really late last night so I woke up not really hungry but figured you want to have something in the morning..." Damn she knows me a little TOO well. I paused as I pulled my bar stool and ate for a bit. We ate in silence for 2 minutes listening to the radio and seeing the sun come up from our window that's in front of the kitchen. From the outside you can see our kitchen and us eating. Then I asked in a soft voice, "Uhm..what time did you come home?" I didn't want to ask but I had to because I hate eating silence. It makes everything so awkward. Eve opened her month and said, "11:24pm, when I came home I saw you sleeping on the couch while the television was playing Bob's Burger's. You were drooling on the pillow that I just bought baby! So I woke you up and you were half-asleep. But you were half asleep! I told you to go to the room and sleep, when I turned around and walking towards the kitchen, you grabbed me by my waist then put your head on my left shoulder while muttering, that you were waiting for me to come home..." She said it in a playfully voice while soundly pissed. I didn't even remember what I ate yesterday. "It must've been my reflects" I shrugged. "Amy Grace Jacob! You grabbed me and wouldn't let me go at all!" I gasped, "How could you yelled my name for the whole world to hear!? It just shows how much I love you! I blowed a kiss at her but she back handed my kiss away, I was upset a little and I got up from my seat and placed my plate on the sink and grabbed my coat along with my keys. "Where are you going so early?" Eve said in a concerned voice. "I'm gonna to play D&D with my brother and friends" I said in a gloomy voice. "I'm gonna get my ass kicked in 20 minutes if I don't make it." Eve asked why and I said, "My brother is gonna eat my secret stash of candy if I didn't go right now..." I didn't want it to happen. Eve kissed me on my cheek and told me to have a great time. While I driving, I got a call from my girlfriend so I putted her on speaker, "What happened babe?" Eve sounded tired due to her groaning like if I was supposed to understand her so I just guessed along the way but my girlfriend kept talking about video games and television shows for 15 minutes and I was just listening. I told her good luck in playing Zelda and she was talking to me about my day. It felt like she was right next to me in the car, it made me feel calm. I have really bad anxiety thanks to middle school and high school. When I finally made to my brother's house, I opened the door and say everyone eating my snacks. Yeah I beat the shit out of my older brother that day. So now he and the gang buys me snacks for a whole year straight. I'm so lucky that my brother knows who he messed with. Eve welcomed me home after coming back from my brother's place and we were chilling on our couch with the covers playing our switch's for hours talking about anime or anything that this point. I'm so lucky to have a girlfriend like Eve. She takes care when I'm hurt or tired and I do the same, we work together like a team.
