"Just a few more minutes and we will be done with this," I said to myself. Finally, I was almost done with my last exam in University as an undergraduate. I was done writing , just proof reading everything and and making sure everything is perfect. I was so excited because after this my friends and I had planned to go on a girls trip to Siavonga. This is something we have been planning since the beginning of the year. I looked at my friend Stacy , who seated a few meters from me as this was the rule to avoid any rigging and copying. She did not seem to feel my eyes staring at her. Anyways, I was going to see her after this. My other friend Jasmine was done with her exams in the first session and I was pretty sure she was sleeping. She has always been a sleepy head. Coming to think of it, this year has been very crucial, being a final year student you can not afford to make any mistakes, we have worked so hard and frankly speaking we do deserve a vacation.

"Time is up, all pens down," said our invigilator. It was done, I am an alumnus, not just an alumnus but a University of Zambia Alumnus. it felt so good. finally the freedom I have long dreamt of waited for me. soon I would get a job, a new apartment, so many exciting thoughts flooded my mind.

I walked out of the exam room feeling satisfied, I knew I had murdered that exam, all those sleepless nights finally paid off.

I found Jasmine waiting for Stacy and I. "Do you guys care for a good meaL?" Jasmine suggested. This was just what I needed. We went to Eastpark mall which was just a few meters away and had a lovely meal, after that we proceeded but to our boarding house.

We napped for a little a bit and after that we woke up to park our luggage for the trip next morning. Siavonga is quite far from Lusaka where we resided. It is a small town in the southern province of Zambia. It has many beautiful resorts such as the Lake Kariba Inns , Lake Safari Lodge and many more. We laid on our beds and as I am scrolling through my Newsfeed on Facebook, I receive an email from Lake Safari lodge where we had booked our reservations. they were simply apologizing and letting us know that the Lodge has been closed and will be closed for two weeks. This was as a result of a fire that burnt alot of things at the resort. The lodge wanted us to know whether we would like a refund or wait till the situation was under control.

My heart sank, I quickly rushed to forward the email to my friends. We were so disappointed. We proceeded to getting our money back out of frustration and anger. "Now what?" Jasmine lamented as she sat on her bed looking hopeless. "I even saved up for a sexy bikini and worked so hard for my summer body," Stacy added.

Just then, an idea crossed my mind. "Ladies, if we can go on a road trip,we visit many lovely places. We can first have a lovely meal at The Corner then proceed to Chaminuka to take pictures with Lions and other places. It will be fun, we will be guessing the places to go to." " That will make it even more interesting." Stacy added. I knew we were on the same page. All my girls were down for the idea. We were just fun girls who wanted to live alittle so why not.

The next morning came, we got ready, we wore our best outfits. I went to check if everything was okay with my car. Dad gave this car to me as a birthday gift for my 23rd birthday and since then I have been in love with my Allion Toyota ride. We parked everything we needed in the boot and off we started with our road trip.

We first stopped at THE CORNER for breakfast. This is an exotic restaurant where white me often visited for delicacies. I had some pancakes with some syrup, bacon, eggs and mini sausages. Stacy ordered some french toast and some chicken lollipops. Jasmine ordered a chicken burger with some fries. For our beverages, we all ordered hot chocolate with cremora. We enjoyed our meal and left off to Chaminuka,a nature reserve in Chongwe. We stopped many times on our way to take pictures. We finally arrived at Chaminuka and I must say their hospitality is top tier.

We proceeded to go on a Safari trip and have a look at the famous lions. We took many pictures with them. I was so scared. Later, we went and tried out Bungee jumping. I have never been so scared in my life. Jasmine was crying as she came back from her jump. We went and had a taste of their delicacies. The food was as amazing as their hospitality.

We then decided it was time to go to our next destination. We decided it was time to go south. We planned on going to Tiffanys Canyon where we would go on Boat Cruises. It took us about 50 minutes to get there. We paid at the reception and headed towards the Canyon. The boat cruise was definitely a thrill. We had so much fun. We proceeded further south to a small town where meat was being sold. The place is called Tenpark. We definitely bought some steak. Going further south we came to a place called Muganganas picnic gardens and waterfront. This place was also famous for boat cruises and many people often visit this place over the weekend. They often hold babeques and small parties. We toured around and had some of their food. We went on the boat cruise on the Kafue River. This river is said to be the deepest river in Zambia.

All the while on that boat, I was praying for my dear life. The view was amazing. Seeing the waves of the calm water had a soothing effect on my spirit. The breeze was so peaceful. It was around 4:30 PM and we simply decided to head back home. We drove back and stopped for dinner at Eastpark mall Mugg and Bean. We chatted for a few hours. I even got to talk to a foreign guy. We drove back to our boarding house and by then it was 11:00 PM. I took a warm shower and I remembered the Spanish guy who gave me his line and I texted him . Long story short, His name is Miguel and he is my current boyfriend and life as never been so beautiful with him.
