The famous late comer.

Me: Oh my God!! It's 9:45. I am late. Today my boss will kill me.

Boss: Hi! What happened? Why are you late?

Me: I had to drop my sister at college Sir. That's why I am late.

Boss: Everyday you tell some reason. I think you are not interested to work here.

Me: No sir.

Boss: You are always late because of your family.

Me: No sir. I came intentionally late.

Boss: What?

Me: I know that I will get late if I drop my sister. But also I dropped her at college. She is very important to me.

Boss: I understand. But, you must be punctual. Punctuality is also important.

Me: Yes sir. But, I have problem sir. I am only 15 minutes late. So far I don't have any remarks regarding my work.

Boss: I know about all the employees. You need not teach me.

Me: Sorry sir. I can work for extra one hour sir.

Boss: I don't need your offer. Just come to office in time. Today is the last warning. Tomorrow if you are late, I will dismiss you.

Me: Sir!! Please sir.

Boss: It's up to you. If you need your job, come in time.

Me: Ok sir.

In the evening:

Me: I am done with my work. Goodbye sir!!

Boss: Goodbye!

What should I do? Tomorrow I may not be able to come to office in time. I can't lose my job. I can't leave my sister alone. I am from a poor background and there are so many criminal gangs in my area. They may harm my sister. That's why I drop her at college. I don't want to tell my personal problems to anyone.

Oh!! It's 19:00. My sister might have finished her classes. I must go to pick her up. I have only one sister and I love her so much. But, I need job also. I don't know what to do.

After sometime:

Sister: Hi bro!! How was your day?

Me: It was good.

Sister: I got 90% in today's exam.

Me: Wow!! That's really good. I am happy.

Sister: I want to become a doctor. What do you think?

Me: It's good. Do you want to eat something? Pizza or burger?

Sister: No brother. We will eat at home.

Me: Ok.

Sister: We reached home. Brother!! Can I ask you something?

Me: Yes.

Sister: You are looking restless. Do you have any problem? Did you fight with anyone?

Me: No. Nothing happened.

Mom: Fresh up and come. We will have dinner.

Me: Ok mom.

Sister: Ok mom.

Mom: What happened to your brother? He is looking very sad and stressed up.

Sister: Yes mom.

Me: I have problem at office.

Sister: What happened bro?

Me: Everyday I am going 15 to 30 minutes late to office. My boss is angry. He said that he would suspend me if I come late from tomorrow onwards.

Sister: It's because of me. I will stop going to college brother. Then you will not have any problem.

Me: When father was on death bed, I promised him that I will take care of you and support you in education. It's ok. If I lose this job, I will apply for other jobs. I am worried about money. If I don't get another job soon, how do we get money?

Me: Mom!! What should I do mom? Sister studies very well.

Mom: If you lose your job, we can't pay her fee. I will drop her from tomorrow.

Next day morning:

Me: Sis!! Wake up!! Get ready. You must go to college.

Sister: Brother!! I don't want to go to college.

Me: I don't have any problem. Yesterday night I called my boss and requested him.

Sister: Really?

Me: Yes. He said that I can come late.

Sister: Ok. I am very happy.

Me: Then get ready.

Sister: Ok bro.

Me: Mom!! I spoke to one of my friends. There is vacancy for driver job. I will join today itself. Don't tell sis about this.

Mom: Ok. But, be careful.

Me: Ok mom.

Sister: I am ready.

Me: Let's go.

Sister: Bye mom.

Mom: Bye!

I dropped my sister at college. I am happy. I will join as driver in the afternoon. I want to thank my boss for understanding me all these days. I will go to office, thank him and tell goodbye.

After sometime:

Me: I came to office. It's 10'o'clock. I am late as usual.

Boss: Good morning!!

Me: Good morning Sir!! Thank you so much for understanding me all these days. I will resign my job. I just came to thank you for helping me all these days.

Boss: What? You will resign? Are you crazy?

I know that you have a sister and you live in a dangerous place. Yesterday I said like that just to check your priorities. Nobody works like you. You are so sincere. You can work and from tomorrow you can come late.

Me: Sir!! I can't believe this. Thank you so much for understanding me sir.

Boss: How can I lose "The famous late comer".

Me: Haha!! Thank you Sir. (Crying...)

Boss: You are welcome. All the best.

Colleagues: Congratulations!! To "The famous late comer". You are the first employee to get the permission to come late.

Me: Haha!! Thank you!!

I am very happy. My father always used to tell that good things come back to you. My father was a military officer. He died in a war. God is protecting our family because of my father's kindness and hardwork.
