Fantasy

Kim still remembered the day, clear as daylight, the one special day about working...

Kim made her way through the library. She was working a shift at the library, but it was so DULL!

She had no idea why she was doing a job as meaningless as a LIBRARY shift.

The books were kept by Kim in her palm before being placed back on their shelf.

She was literally only 16 years old!

Before she started getting old and wheezing, she should be contently living her life.

But no, she was scrubbing the library like a janitor instead!

Just then, there was an announcement about the library closing. Yes! Finally!

Kim was passing a bookcase when all of a sudden when suddenly there was a loud noise of a book falling.

Kim quickly looked there, but then when she saw something, she carefully peeked at the bookshelf. But what she saw made her eyebrows rise, followed by a hint of fear.

It was something black, it didn't have a good figure, it was like slime and dripping by the moment.

It was using its slimy, finger-less hands to drag itself out of a book!

Kim was so terrified that she couldn't even move her feet. It had become frozen in place.

All of a sudden, the little slimy fingers dragged out a slimy black man's body, revealing just his white eye sockets.

The book finally shriveled into ashes once it had entirely dragged itself out.

A dark black trail that was wet like mud followed the person behind it with each stride it made.

The strange stranger then approached Kim at a close enough distance.

As Kim struggled to move her immobilized legs, she swore to herself.

It felt like a curse on her!

Just then, there was a sudden action, so sudden that Kim's eyes weren't able to capture it.

She remembered a sudden jolt and a painful stretch to her arm as someone grabbed her upper forearms and pulled them hard.

Ouch!! That had hurt!

But boy, she was able to move her legs now! It felt a little bit numb of staying in a spot for a while, but she was pretty sure she could survive.

She wasn't able to look at the person but he took her to a corner and then told her to stay quiet.

Kim stayed quiet and then understand why. She could hear the weird stranger coming closer.

Suddenly, the stranger noticed them and started chasing them. The boy and Kim kept on running and running until they got cornered on one of the bookshelves.

The stranger held out his hand, and then a big black rope sprouted out and grabbed the boy, and then he started sinking into the ground.

Fearfully, Kim tried to run away but the stranger produced another rope, capturing her.

Then, he came closer and closer to her. What would happen to her now? But instead, he whispered in her ear, "Be true to yourself. Wished I could be."

Kim was confused by this. Suddenly, the man started walking away when just then a handed sprouted up from the ground, giving her a water bottle. It was the boy's hand! She took the water bottle and opened it, and just as his hand was being sucked back into the ground, she tripped over it, and then the water fell all over the slimy monster, washing his awful skin off.

What there revealed was a boy around her age, he fell on the floor, unconscious.

Be true to yourself... maybe it made sense a little?

When he came back unconscious, he told Kim something.

Kim paused, remembering that whole story. Sometimes she wondered if she was thinking sense of whether it actually happened. It was her first day of college, and she didn't know what look she wanted people to see her as.

Nerdy? Preppy? She had no idea. She just wanted people to like her. But looking back on that one old day...

Maybe she should be herself.

Now it's time for her to go to college, so we should probably be ending the story----

Oh, wait. One more part

Kim was walking to her school when a letter smashed on her cheek, a warm paper feeling.

It was written for some reason her name, so she decided to open it.

Wow, Kim, see you're growing up so fine! And you also joined college! Enjoying life so far?

Odd. What type of letter was that? But there was a name of who it was from that made an ominous feeling tingle in her skull.

-"The Stranger" (from the library that day)

Kim's eyes widened and looked around. Then, there he was! She saw that boy walking towards her. He put on a smile.

"Let's go to class together."

Kim put on a weird face. "We barely know each other."

"I remember you. You saved me, I owe you. Simple logic. So, can we be friends?"

Hope you all like it!

Sincerely, Kim

Anyways I have nothing more to write but I'm still writing because it won't publish due to the word limit. I'd also like to apologize for not publishing any stories for an extremely long time. It's not that I lost interest in writing, but simply didn't have the time.

I hope you guys are enjoying life and even though I stopped getting that much creative ideas with the nowadays prompts, I hope I did a good job and inspired you all to keep writing or some ideas!

I think I'll just end this here because I don't want to make it sound like some article or a speech.

Anyways hope to write soon if any good prompts come back up!

Hope you all have a great day/night!

Enjoy the rest of your life.

This story's moral was to always be true to yourself, and I hope the story represented that enough. Always be true to yourself and others it's a great thing to do bye!! :D
