Romance

I grew up alone. My birth parents gave me to a orphanage when I was born but when I got older I ran away. There is no love shown there. All the staff trying to get the younger crying children off their hands as soon as possible. Most of the time kids are stuck until they are 18 the which hey can leave. At 14 I decided that I"ve had enough of waiting for someone to just choose me so I left the home. I've never been shown love and I've never loved anyone. I lived on the streets until I was accepted into university where I moved into a dorm and lived there.

Now I'm 25 and going to my graduation from Nursing school. I was so excited to move onto the next chapter of my life. I decided to try something new before I headed to school. I have a coffee shop that I always go to because it's close to my school and I'm usually running late so it's easier for me. Today I decided I'd try the place down the street from the grocery store. I hopped in my car and drove there. Walking into the store I noticed it had a pleasant buzz to it. Everyone was talking to someone and smiling. It seemed like a pretty popular place and was pretty busy this morning so it was a good thing I gave myself a lot of time. I got in line and waited... and waited.

About 5 minutes after I got to the counter and ordered the Espresso con panna, my favourite drink. I had a nice little conversation with the barista then when I walked over to wait my drink I saw someone. The guy who handed me my drink drew my attention immediately. I didn't know what the feeling was when I saw him but I felt compelled to learn more about them. "Hey uh What's your name?" I asked. I don't do this often so it felt weird. He looked up at me with a smile "Oh my names Dylan. I've seen you around campus but what's your name?" I smiled back at Dylan. So he went to the same school as me but I've never really seen him before. He must have a different major and spends his classes in different areas then me. "I'm Jasmine." I turn to leave and call back "It was nice talking to you!"
