Desperate Remedies of Remedial Reminders of Reset and Redial.

Why does it feel like we have been here before?

But worse.

Isn’t progress designed for, not determined to be, a forward moving machine? A forward moving directional way of life?

A challenge, of course.

Challenging, without question.

But.

When the tough questions are not addressed appropriately, the troubled middle becomes troubled indeed.

Messed in the head even.

Maybe.

Messed up in the head.

With certainty.

Few people are immune to the effects of our fragmented, impersonal and fiercely competitive society. (as,ps).

What is left behind are wounds, scars and only a handful of stars able to carry the torch. Who wants to be the rock star standing with no audience to entice, seduce and draw in for the so called:

Greater Good.

Carrying the sputtering torch of greatness and aplomb, with the too soon, nature just to prove that they could “do it”.

Until. They don’t. They cannot.

Personally kneecapped and have no idea,

Why.

We all feel insignificant, inadequate sometimes.

We are not all this AND the bag of chips😊.

To bear or not to bear.

That is a great question.

And. If you decide to bear.

For and in support of another.

Best to ask first:

”Do you got what it takes?”

For the long haul.

The enduring endurance to “pull it off”. The perfect timing. Of the gaping closed up wound that is actually hiding a gagillion hurts.

Covering.

Covering it up is a 24/7 job. Who has time for another one? A real one. Whatever that means.

The short answer: Many.

The longer answer: Followers.

There are many followers who believe in right from wrong, best from worst (of ourselves) and the perfect timing to extend the hand and hands for forward motion👋🏻🙏🏻.

Beautiful.

But first. The only way through, is through.

The good times and the bad, in sickness and in health, as long as we all shall live.

The key.

Is to avail oneself to and of another.

Even if, and especially when you do not want to.

Witnessing an act of unrighteousness against our fellow man.

Mind boggling.

Inadequacy is a fickle beast that head butts us in our core often.

We wish to fight it off in a myriad of ways. Some healthy, some less so. Devices, vices and particular spices.

Emotional healing takes time.

Takes your time.

Takes my time.

It is with wisdom we learn it is a process with no short cuts.

When we put ourselves on the pedestal as a coping mechanism.

May God have mercy on our reasons.

There is a very wide difference between humility and humiliation.

One is good.

One is not.

Which brings us to the hows and whys. The ifs, ands or buts. 😳

The things we tell ourselves in order to make it through.

Another day.

Another test.

Another bad bowl of yucky soup.

Another bad trip to the doctor.

Another bad trip to our mothers.

Another bad trip to the dentist.

Another bad trip to our fathers.

Another bad plate of noodles.

The list can be endless.

An endless list of unmet wants, unmet needs, and so on and so on.

Turning inwards seems so much safer. We at least can control ourselves, right?

Not exactly right.

We all have the capability to blow in certain and extreme circumstances. Blow our top. Resort to whatever kills the pain in the moment of the most painful of rejection, mounting neglect and abandonment.

So. We resort.

We blow our tops on the hallowed halls of education on the soils of this great country. When someone asks us, “Why” we really cannot answer with a solid, rock solid reason other than,

”It looks good.”

That I am standing up for some thing or someone and I don’t really know why, even understand.

Civil liberties and criminal liberties are so insidiously intertwined in our current societal lives. Best to check the reasons of the season before grabbing the next blank piece of poster board? Better to know who you answer to.

In the meantime of figuring it all out.

Read.

Reflect.

Understand.

What is happening right in front of you.

Before shouting to the mountaintops.

It could mean a life.

No one life is more important than another.

Not yours.

Not mine.

It can be taken from us all in an instant.

In an instant.

Living with the ramifications for the rest of the lifetime is an insidiously mean way to exist.

Souls are cleansed for a reason, a season and wholly for the greater good.

The greater good and its greatest good on the soils of the land of opportunity. Anything else, is just a pawn game and a con job.

Not cool.

No remedial reminder needed on this very important point of standing up for your neighbor as yourself. The moment we divide the morality pie is the moment we divide forever.

Denial of another person’s hunger is arrogance.

Flat out.

We may never, ever be “paid back” in kind or not in kind. Or ever.

In the end. It doesn’t really matter. What does matter is knowing it when you see it, and not going along with it in the moment.

A mouthful of nothing to some.

Written words of simplistic wisdom

A mouthful for certain.

Saying one thing and doing another is what gets us into the biggest kind of trouble. We think we got it. Get it.

Back to kindergarten we must go.

Again.

To learn to:

Play nice.

Be fair.

Don’t drink too much juice.

Don’t steal your neighbor’s cookies, etcetera, etcetera.

Don’t allow another to eat your lunch.

It happens when there is no bonafide oversight committee.

Inclusivity for me but not for thee.

It happens. Dressed in the smartest of pant suits and the perfectly coiffed hair of our times. The perfectly dry cleaned suits of armor.

To be crass, is to be cross.

Angry.

Sh**or get off the pot.

Fish or cut bait.

Take your pick.

Know who you answer to.

Remedial reminder of the “work from home” mentalists:

When you teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime.

Steal his water and his pole.

And he will go hungry for a longer time.

Conventional wisdom teaches us to stand alone and reject groupthink when our wants and needs have been given away while we blinked back the tears of abandonment.
