B. B. Spring Adventure

An Orange Rebellion Side Story

The first day of spring, flowers bloom, life renews, and new adventures begin. At least that's how Beatrice Benoint saw it, and today would begin her promised adventure.

B. B. Had spent the entire year too afraid to confess her feelings, but Spring would be different she promised herself. Today she would confess her forbidden love. 

She sits in front of the mirror brushing her short blonde hair while rehearsing how she'll confess. 

"Lindsey I had you meet me here so I... Uggh that's no good. Hey Lindsey I'm sure you're wondering why.. Uggggg Lindsey I only think of... No no that's too cringe " 

She looks at her own expressions in the mirror her hazel eyes filled with nervousness and determination. 

"I can do this, let's just go natural and with the flow" 

Her nerves were only partly due to the confession, they were also caused by the fact that her crush was another girl in a world that such love was taboo. 

B. B. Put on some tan shorts and a tea shirt with a cute bear on the front. She was finally ready she told her self as she headed for the door when her mother called for her. "good morning Beatrice, your not about to head out without eating breakfast"

"Mom, I got an energy bar In my bag for breakfast so I'll see you later Mom"

Beatrice reply while hoping she had satisfied her mother but to no avail.

"Beatrice Benoint, your not going to skip the days most important meal with the excuse of a snack now get in here and eat"

B. B. Rushed to the table knowing better than pushing the point any further. 

"so what's got you in such a hurry to leave?" 

Beatrice panic rush eats her food while mumbling "I'm just going to see a friend mom" 

"you seem pretty anxious about just seeing a friend is this friend a boy?"

B. B. Almost chokes and replies "mom!" B. B. Runs out the house her mom laughing while saying "don't have to much fun sweetie" 

B. B. Takes a breathe of relief when she gets outside, she wasn't ready to tell her mom that she liked Girls. The thought of that type of courages confession was more stressful than her already planned confession. 

She quickly checks the time to make sure she was still on time and started walking to lakeside park. B. B. Had first met Lindsey at the start of the school year, she was wearing a cute sun dress and had the coolest hair style. For the rest of the year B. B. had secretly watched her to afraid to make a move, But just before spring she had finally gained the courage and left an anonymous love note in her locker telling her to meet her at the park by the slides.  

B. B. Thought to her self my spring time of youth is going to begin today.

B. B. Arrives in the park and is happy to see Lindsey is already waiting at the slide but something seems off. Lindsey seemed annoyed to be there. B. B. Waves at Lindsey while happily saying "good morning Lindsey"  

"oh hi, Beatrice What are you doing here. " Lindsey said with a sweet voice before noticing how dolled up B. B. was. "Wait don't tell me the same person sent you a love letter to like how spineless do you have to be to drag a girl out to a empty park before confessing." 

B. B.'s Heart sank at that statement it took so much courage to do this. "I'm sure they have a good reason to want to do this privately" B. B. Quietly mumbled. 

Lindsey points at B. B. and replies "yeah right, like maybe he's disgusting or a killer, I know we don't talk to much but you can't trust a freak like this Beatrice."

B. B. Turns and yells "Lindsey I invited you here because I love you"  

Lindsey at first looks in shock saying "What, it was you, but your..your a Girl!"

B. B. Bends forward while continuing her desperate confession "regardless I love you Lindsey, your all I can think about" tears pour down B. B. Face.

Lindsey backs up while saying "No, a girl can't love another girl this has to be some type of joke, right Beatrice you're joking!!"

B. B. moves closer to Lindsey while replying " I know it's Taboo, but I can't help loving you please try to understand " 

Lindsey recovering from her initial shock shouts " I'll never accept such a crazy request get away from me ... you weirdo" Lindsey turns and runs away from B. B. 

B. B. Shouts loudly while stretching her hand towards Lindsey "don't go ...I love you" Lindsey ignores this and keeps running away.  

B. B. Falls to her knees heart broken and defeated so lost in her sorrow that she is unaware of the fact that she isn't alone by the slide. 

A fat drunk man walks up to the crying B. B. and kicks her on to the dirty ground "serves you right you little freak." B. B. Just lays there crying not reacting to the drunken man slurs. 

This annoys the drunken man as he storms off.

Soon it starts to rain and the mud becomes thick as B. B. Screams out her frustration, the rain drowning out the sound. She blamed her self then hated her self for what happened her world crashing around her. Suddenly she hears a loud thump as the drunk man is thoroughly beaten up by someone that B. B. can't see clearly in the rain. 

Next thing she knows a girl a few years older than her is beside her, umbrella covering them both. 

"are you OK, I can't believe that jackasses would kick a poor girl like that" the mysterious woman said while extending her hand to B.B. the flash rain storm ends suddenly as it had started while B. B. Turned to face the mysterious lady.  

The sun shone behind the lady her brunette hair glimmering in its light. The mysterious woman was wearing parachute pants and a hoodie with fox ears. B.B. couldn't help seeing her as an angel, the lady closed her umbrella while looking up at the sun. "your going to be OK I'm here for you.. I'm sorry I don't know your name mines Leya Thornwell. "

B.B. grabs Leya's hand and replies "I'm Beatrice B...Benoint "

Leya places her orange fox hoodie on B.B. while saying "double B huh I'll call you B. B. for short. take this Beatrice, I don't want you to catch a cold" 

B.B. smiles up at her guardian angel Leya, holding tight the hand that saved her.

Thus B. B. Spring Adventure ended in a vary different way than she expected.
