I feel like life as I know it is over!! I am stuck on this overly crowded train trying to get to no where it seems like, but I truly want to get to visit my family. I really, really do! I have Mr. Snore head to the left and Mrs. MotorMouth to the right. I just want to sit here and relax, but how are you supposed to do that with these obnoxious loud snores entering your left ear and mile a minute voices in your right? Ahh... like I said life as I know it is over!! OK, maybe if I sit here and watch nature through my window I can slightly relax.
Tree, tree, tree, tree, thump, thump, thump, snore, snore, blah, blah, blah..... ugh nope no relaxing yet!!!
Oh my how does people ride these awful things everyday? Not me for sure! The only and I mean only reason I am riding this awful thing is because I had no other way to get halfway across the U.S..
Hmmm.. let's see what could I possibly do to get through six long hours of this craziness without going crazy myself.
I know I could make up stories of why the others are riding the train also...hehehe... this should be fun!
Mr. Snore head, he's a big portly man wearing a suit, I bet he's heading to the next city as a salesman selling life insurance policies to people that look like they don't know any better.
Mrs. MotorMouth, she's a little skinny lady looking like she knows all the latest gossip wearing a beautiful strapped red dress and high heels, I bet she's heading to the next casino to find a rich man that has won a lot on the craps table.
There is an older couple holding hands further upfront both looks like they're wearing the best they could probably heading to their kids' house to the grandkids.
Next, we have an older woman that has what looks like everything she owns on her with a cute, homely dress and a brown fur coat, she most likely is heading to wherever she can get to with how much money she has in her wallet.
Yes, this seems to be doing the trick. I've lost an hour and a half already just trying to think where these people would be going and why. Not too bad of a game.
Mr. Snore head has woken up to head to the restroom and now is waiting for our meal that we ordered earlier to be passed along. I just hope that they taste as good as they were described. We got to pick from one of two choices which were fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and a roll. The other choice which I picked was fresh baked catfish, baked potato with the fixings, corn, and a roll.
Wow, it's actually really quiet when everyone has their meal and isn't snoring or chatting a mile a minute.
Well, just a couple more hours and I should be to my destination!!!
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, the flipping train comes to a halt! Oh heck no, I can't handle this again!! Listening to all the complaints and wondering what's going on. Mrs. MotorMouth trying to push her way to the front to get the latest gossip. Of course, yes, everyone would like to know what's going on, not just you! Well, finally over the loudspeaker the train conductor announces that he has to wait until the local police arrives because they are wanting to check everyone aboard. Well, of course that definitely gets Mrs. Motormouth looking around to who she could gossip to on who they would be looking for.
Everyone is certainly frightened of what could possibly be going on and who is aboard the train. People are looking at each other thinking each and everyone could be guilty. One by one they start inching away from one another.
Finally, half an hour later, the police arrive and question each and every single person separately. They wanted to know where we were going and why: for how long; who would be there; when we would be returning to our home.
I answered everything to the best of my ability and they looked at me like I was a villain!! I didn't do anything to anyone! I just want to go to San Francisco and see my family. What would be wrong with that?
Once everyone was checked out a few less people were on the train. I was wondering what was going on, but I wasn't going to ask any questions and get accused of something. Well, we couldn't rely on Mrs. Motormouth because could you believe it; her mouth must have gotten her into trouble! Karma man!
So off we go again, I'm finally going to get to where I'm supposed to!!!
One mile to go and I will finally, yes finally, be off this train for good!! Well, until I have to go back home that is, but that isn't right now. We pull up to the rest stop, I get out and wouldn't you believe it the police are waiting there for me again! WHY!!!
They said," Mrs. MotorMouth said that you had something of hers."
"What," I said, " I didn't get near her or speak to her!"
"Well she said you got into her purse that looks exactly like the one you're holding and took her phone so she can't call her family."
Immediately, I look into my purse and I must have hers because none of the things in here are mine! I asked what I have to do to claim my right purse because thankfully they have her and my/her purse on them right now! They explained as long as I can say what would be in mine then we could switch and I told them exactly what would be in there besides other things I'm not sure of.
They went and looked into the other one while taking the one I had and brought back the one they had and showed me it asking if anything was missing. Luckily, she didn't have time to dig deep enough because the money that was hidden was still there. I told them no and they released me.
Now, I am once again on my journey to see my family!!!
As I sit here over- looking at this beautiful hillside of a mountain all by myself talking to what you would look at as just headstones are my beautiful family!!
It took me forever to get here, but I am now sitting and having lunch with my grandma, grandpa, sister, uncle, aunt, great grandma, and great grandpa. I couldn't ask for anything more. It's quiet the birds are chirping, wind is blowing, leaves are blowing around and all I can see for miles around is quiet peacefulness! I hope one day you all can enjoy what I am seeing and enjoying right now!
