ILLEGAL TAKEOVER

There is a meeting of the board of the biggest casino situated at the reclaimed land 5 kilometers and extended up to 10 kilometers going to the middle of the bay along the seashore of Samarak Bay and housed the Samarak Mega Casino catering 20 million customers in the metropolitan city. Cornelio who is the President presented a blueprint for the casino expansion of real estate holdings which is a tower of condominiums and offices and big box stores. It will make the Contessa Family to become richer .Two brothers let their eldest sons managed their holdings having reached their retirement age. Cornelio being the president has been very energetic to look after the promotion of their business that the results of his efforts is to expand their gambling business. It came to his mind that people will no longer go to other places to find work but all will be located in one place. Residents will rent or buy a condominium unit while they work at the offices and people will buy what they need at the retail stores. Max his cousin do the daily routine of supervising the daily operation of the casino games and the slot machines and hired his assistant Rico to help him in the operations. With their daily rounds they are meeting the pit managers, supervisors and dealers and slot machine attendants. They are very much aware of the rules of the games. While Cornelio is negotiating with contractors about the construction of the condominium and office tower while Max and Rico are going around to do the overall operation. He didn't know Max is eyeing his position to become the president after all this eventually happens if the condominium and office tower will begin to operate. That may take five years . But Max wanted Cornelio to eliminate him right away. He wants to be the president of the casino for obvious reasons, He will get all the money to his pockets while Cornelio would be waiting for sometime to get his monetary rewards. Farida is the Human Resources Manager, the wife of Cornelio no ticed that the head of the Pit Managers is replaced without the proper notice to her. She informed it to her husband. This is the first time it happened. Her husband has to be notified first that is the procedure. Cornelio called a meeting to address this issue but Max didn't attend the meeting. Cornelio instead presented an update of his new projects. Members of the board are elated to hear about it. They can imagine how their new business will impact commercial industry. They could invite foreign customers since they will no longer commute to go to play. Farida became worried when there is a memorandum that the president is on leave and Max is the acting president. Cornelio is very upset but Farida calmed him down. "We cannot solve this quickly. We have to investigate who are behind to change the company profile without informing the company.'' She said. Farida without the knowledge of Max started to call key employees to her office and gathered evidences and activities of Max and Rico. Some of them testified that they are convinced to follow him promising they get a hefty raise, From these information she called the Finance Manager not to honor Max since Cornelio is still the President. She called all company high level employees not to honor any change in the policy and procedure, Cornelio ordered his secretary to safeguard the documents in his office Farida called a board meeting without the knowledge of Max. Cornelio presided the meeting and explained what is happening in the company that Max wants to take over the operations and logistics of the casino. There is a little bit of confusion. Cornelio asks if they allow him to continue as president or Max? The board wants to retain him. How about the new project? 'We have to fix this issue first ", they said. Farida recalled all the memorandums and circulars issued by Max and Rico. She called the Department Head of the Pit Managers who is forced to go on leave being coerced by Max who would have been fired if he didn"t follow him. Even the Department Head of the Slot Machine Department who is planning not to return anymore. Farida instructed them to report if Rico tries to coerce them to file a complaint against him. Coercion and intimidation is not tolerated by the company. Farida learns about customers who are restrained to come to the casino if they have don't enough funds to buy tickets , hotel accomodations and restaurants Why are they restrained when only want to play for fun? The company is promoting responsible gambling. All complaints are recorded as a preparation for the next board meeting. Max and Rico are not seen going around. Maybe they want to avoid confrontation knowing their orders are no longer honored. He is reluctant to go to the President's office. He can't think of any reason why he will go to him realizing he has by pass him all along. The more he dreads what will happen during the next board meeting what they are going to do with him. Farida carefully recorded all the evidences in her file to present it during the board meeting.. Casino dealers are fired on the spot and without cause. Why do they do that when they are the frontliners to earn money for the casino? The same thing that customers riding on casino buses are charged by the operators upon the order of Max while the company policy is they are free. Max may have done this to raise revenue to pay the hefty raise he promised to his proteges. More evidences are submitted Farida made it sure Max and Rico are there to face the consequences of what they have done. If possible the casino wants small players to win but this is not possible they are given free promos to play and free meal tickets. .but the casino give big charity to help the poor being Christians. This way they are responsible about their gambling. At the board meeting the members didn't hesitate to replace Max as the Vice President with his Assistant when the evidences are presented by Farida from the company's Human Resources Manager who has prevented the illegal takeover of the company's operation. Max and Rico are replaced by picking the right candidate from the rank and file. They are assigned to another business holding operated by Contessa Group. With Farida's sense of effective management she has greatly helped her husband not to expose the inside company squabble and to that effect she got to be promoted as the Vice President in preparation to become president when her husband will become president of the condominium nad office tower.GP
