Mag lands straight on the bed

What a long day! (Recalling the pages she got at work "hey doc ! Patient at ward 207 is in an emergency situation 'Appendectomy' ; alright prepare for surgery am coming over , Another beep after a successful surgery ,she was called for another cause the other senior docs were still busy with one and some were out for special assignment) 

What! So I actually did 3 surgeries today !? 

Gets up and heads straight to the kitchen , to the pots

hey fellas got something for me? , Ofcourse empty, can't remember when last I cooked in this house ,and that would definitely not be tonight

Brings out her phone and ordered pizza,8 mins before arrival, she Sits on the sofa recalling "who knows you might find your soulmate at one"

she paid and got a chilled juice in the fridge and sat comfortably on the sofa eating

Hmmm, nothing feels so good like having pizza and a cold juice in ones house

shrugging of the idea of going to the Mayor's party & slept off

Before she knows it , it's morning already she is up by 5 a.m. taken her bath getting dressed, some bread and coffee and out she goes by 6am to work , a little late

I wonder when I will stop waking up too early ...she thought

Lagoon hospital is a private hospital offering almost free medical services to people in the states, but with the recent pandemic and economic crisis ,they are about to go bankrupt, Now at the brink of increasing their medical fees cost, having their pay slashed or sourcing for funds externally , which Govt is not an option at the moment

She got into the hospital to see the other senior doctors gather all thanking the mayor for his generous act

Its Friday evening , phew! That was hectic ,i can't believe have done 10 surgeries this week?! I deserve an award

Saturday afternoon

Mag rumbling, bringing out all her wears, door slams open Hey babe! Said Julie

Julie : okay! What do we have here? (Picks up a top and Jean)

Both zoomed off and arrived at the mall, already checking dresses

Arriving at the event which had already started, Wow this is elaborated than I expected, reporters everywhere, pretty sure this is covered on TV ..she thought. A large hall was used which could contain a thousand people conveniently . She gets out of the car , showed her IV to the guard and was taken up to the high table sitting with Mark and almost with the Mayor who is just coming to his seat

Mayor : Welcome , from lagoon hospital right? Sips a drink from Marks table

Mark : yes sir

Mayor : grinds his teeth Wow that is strong

Mark : yea Its for the strong

Mayor : thanks for coming, You look gorgeous by the way

Mag : smiles Thank you sir and thanks for your donation ,we really appreciate it

After A while of showing the Mayor's philanthropic acts , was time for the Mayor's speech of appreciation, He stood up to address the crowd

Why is he looking pale all of a sudden , Mag thought

Mayor : Good day everyone (scratching his chin) , I really Appreciate everyone for (coughs) ...

Mag : itching, shortness of breath? She thought Mark what did you take ?

Mark : What? oh Vodka

Mag : Does it contains Nuts

Mark : hmm probably , checks the label , Oh yea

Mag : Oh no , He is allergic to nuts

She runs to the stage

Mayor : And I look forward to accomp..... Accomp... (He collapses right into Mag hands )

. All attention turned to her , camera lights flashing here and there , Reporters gathering round

Will you stop and get me a first Aid kit ! Mag screamed ,Mark joins her , anaphylaxis? Yes pls call an ambulance ..she replied

She perform first aid treatment on him and he was resuscitated, everyone was amazed and clapped very hard for her , soon the ambulance came and He was taken to the nearest clinic

Reporters: A word please, are you a doctor? , Talk to us , how did you know he was gon collapse?

. Had no choice but to turn back and answer them , Yes I am a doctor she replied ,I saw him looking pale all of a sudden , constant itching on his chins and palms ,I also saw him take a drink which I found out was vodka that contained nuts , immediately I knew he was allergic to it

Night folds

The Night ended so well that the next morning, the news was all about the efficiency of the doctors at lagoon hospital which gave them lots of recognition and more donations from influencial people and other politicians and especially for Margaret who was promoted and now had time on her hands , didn't have to wake up too early anymore and she did find her SOULMATE , the Mayor was single and they lived happily ever after.
