BIRTHDAY FLOWER

There are beautiful things the naked eye can see about nature. We want to symbolize our feelings of love and what is that beautiful thing carrying the message of love are grown in beautiful gardens planted by the human hands which we call a flower. Many flowers grown are now sold in the market in stores and flower shops. Flowers are beautiful to give for a birthday celebrant and James is on his way to buy a flower for her girlfriend Cynthia. James wanted to surprise Cynthia that he didn't mention to her about his gft to her on her birthday. When he mentioned it to his roommate Alfredo he said that rose flowers are very common as a gift why can't he choose another kind of flower. "What flower can you suggest?" He asked his friend. "Why not buy a bunch of carnations mixed with other flowers?" James was not familiar with that kind of flower but thought of looking into it when he is at the store. He has no idea but he might ask the storekeeper about this flower. This might suit Cynthia's taste. "What does he know?" He was not sure if he saw flowers at Cynthia's place before to give him an idea about the flowers in their garden but he knew they are growing flowers. They had blooming flowers since they belong to the tropic zone where flowers bloom all year round. James remember why he knew Cynthia's flower bearing plant is the Sampaguita which belongs to the family of nocturnal plants because they bloom in the evening spreading the sweet smell and fragrance that is soothing to one's mood and feelings Cynthia's aunt gathered the Sampaguita flowers and make them into garlands worn as a necklace by a lady or adorn the carve statue of wooden saints inside a church hang by the parishioners. And this could be a flower James can give to Cynthia but he is afraid she might not agree since they are the sellers of the flowers. So James set aside sampaguita flower to give to Cy nthia. Back to the carnation flower. Where could he buy that? He could only buy it if he is willing to make a special trip to the flower stalls along the city road next to their town. How much could a dozen of carnations cost added to his fare going there? If he is lgte there may not be even carnation flowers to buy anymore since this place is a distribution center as other vendors buy them then sell them. He will not go there then so his mind wandered where he can get to the nearest flower shop. Maybe he will try to ask flowers from their neighbor raising chrysanthemum in pots but was not sure if they are in bloom. A pot of flowering chrysanthemum might suffice to decorate the front door of Cynthia but he discourage himself when he remembered the smell. His mind went blank. "What kind of flower will I buy for her?" There's some kind of confusion now. Tomorrow is her birthday. Where will he get the flower? He might go online to buy a bouguet for Cynthia but maybe too late now. He thought of opening his computer to see the flower shops and flower gardens around. There is even a place where .flowers and plants were sold to the travelling public looking plants to add to their collections. " Maybe I can give her a pot of flowering plants," he decided as he is looking all the flowering plants in big and small pots. How far did he go to decide what kind of plant he is going to give to Cynthia, a flowering or decorative plant? Look at that, this is going to be another choice or she can have them both. Something to take care of and it will last a longer time. How about that? So tomorrow he will invite Cynthia for a road trip to go to this flower gardens instead of flower shops. He has to check the engine and fuel of his car and one thing sure it would be a joy ride. He and Cynthia alone as her birthday trip. Along the way they could by fresh fruits and freshly baked bread. It maybe a day to remember too, a birthday celebration. They could also drop by a church along the way and say a prayer. James thoughts were for Cynthia's pleasure and enjoyment. How good znd pleasing it would be. So tomorrow would be his day with Cynthia. Wait a minute. How about if she has a party? James mind is in quandary. How about his plan of bringng her out? He remembered last time when Cynthia invited him to a Beach Party where they celebrated her birthday with friends and their were even decorations of fresh flowers as it was a beach resort. Her parents threw up her party to celebrate her graduation and at the same time her birthday. They had more than one hundred guests and it was almost daybreak when the guests parted. It was a nice evening. James knew Cynthia enjoyed the party because he was there. Got to the dance floor when they announce the celebrant to have a dance and James escorted her to dance with him. He noticed her headband was made of fresh fragrant Sampaguita flowers so he knew Cynthia is fond of flowers. So now James wondered if they will have a big party like last yrar. It is all guess to him but the most important is his flower gift which is still a big question mark where he could get it and what kind of flower it is. He finally stop thinking about it when he thought he can give her a special trip after her birthday to the flower gardens as long as it is still within the week of her birthday. He got up early as it was his habit to have his coffee outside. Sipping his coffee with the latest newspaper on hand he saw flower bouquets that are advertised and could be delivered right away coming from a local flower shop. There you go his problem of giving a birthday flower is solved. He called the flower company and ordered a dozen of red roses a symbol of love to Cynthia on her birthday. James went to the house of Cynthia to attend her house party. When he arrived silence met him instead of the sound of music and bustling conversation of their guests. Complete silence met him at the door when it opened. He saw the bouquet of twelve roses displayed on top of the table beside the window. To his surprise Cy thia was ready for a night trip with him. This was a surprise for James. They drove his car and now he is alone with Cynthia on her birthday going to a secluded place for them to celebrate her birthday. It was only a flower gift that was in his mind but when he offered Cynthia that they will have a get away trip she agreed right away and James was so excited. This is how much Cyn thia showed that she really loved him and that night they planned to tell their parents of their engagement.
