I looked outside, and the sun seemed a bit more red and big than normal, I brushed It off as my imagination or pollution. Pollution is something that will mess with your head.

But then I noticed the sun seemed brighter than normal, It was right above us, but it seemed brighter. My friend pointed it out, saying, "Good god, why is it so damn bright today? Never been THIS bright." He heavily emphasized "THIS"

He also commented on the growing heat, It was getting hot, really fast. I looked back at the sun, It was double its size now. Then he blasted the AC, and we were fine. But we both had to take a bit of a tinkle.

We parked at the side of the road and ran to the woods, we made a couple jokes about being savages in the wilderness, some foolishness. We did our business, and as we headed back, a tree fell in front of us, it was on fire and it blasted ash and soot on us.

I looked up, and the trees were slowly catching fire, we were a little bit far away from the car since the forest was far away, and I was insecure about being revealing in the slightest. We started sprinting to the car as fast as we could. Slowly the smell of burning wood and ash, was all I could smell.

We got to the car, but everything around us was on fire, and the air was burning hot, it felt like my entire body was in an oven. I opened the door, the metal burning my hand as I did.

I jumped in, My friend did too and he slammed on the gas, and we had to get out of there. He turned the AC to the max, it was only cold for around 20 seconds. I pulled my seatbelt down since the trees were falling, if we crashed I didn't want to die.

I felt hot, the seatbelt around my chest felt like it was burning into my skin. Smoke was everywhere, I turned my head to the window. Fire was everywhere, smoke covered everything, and the clouds were no longer of rain, but ash instead.

My friend was driving, their face was dark red, and covered in soot. I felt the immense heat beat through the car as it sped down the road. The city was engulfed in flames. The sun was directly over us, and I think the sun was expanding, But that wasn't supposed to happen for another 5 billion years or so!

The AC was on full blast, blowing warm air that felt nice in contrast to the blazes around us. I felt lightheaded as if I had been in a sauna for a week on end. My body felt weak, and I think the highest, but ok level of heat for a human is like, 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Im not entirely sure though, All I know is that I was going to die at this rate, and so would my friend. This was bad, and I'm not sure if we could escape death anymore. I watched as the windshield slowly dipped down.

Was it that hot?! to melt the fucking glass? I was afraid to put my hands on it, but if I didn't it would melt onto us and burn us to a fucking crisp. char our skin as we screamed in agony, as it slowly melted, and molded around us, only increasing in heat.

I shook at the thought, as I looked for something to protect my hands. I decided on my backpack. I picked it up and shotput it at the windshield, It flew forward and stuck to the metal on the engine.

I felt a burning on my face immediately, My eyes burned and so did my lungs. I heard my friend scream, "IT BURNS OH GOD FUCK!!!" He was in pain, as was I. but we couldn't stop, we had to go somewhere to stay alive.

My skin felt as if I had shoved my entire head into lava. The wind only made it worse as it pushed the air into my mouth and nose. I reached up and touched my face, it felt stiff. Slowly my vision began blurring. I closed my eyes, and I knew it wasn't doing much.

But I couldn't watch as my sight slowly skipped away. I felt the burning in my chest, I couldn't breathe anymore. My lungs burned more than they ever have. I opened my eyes, everything was spotty now. Black holes were burned into my sight. I was coughing violently, and soon I realized, my friend was dead.

We had stopped moving, he had stopped moving, or screaming even, I looked at him, before seeing that his face had melted off his face, bubbling in the heat. I knew that's how I was going to go, The pain disappeared for a moment as I watched the remaining skin slide off his skull. His hair was gone, I was sure mine was gone too.

I breathed in, but it no longer felt like I was breathing in air anymore, more like just heat. My lungs burned in a way I never thought I would feel. The heat, the smoke, the fire. It was surrounding everything, I looked up. My vision more than half gone, I couldn't see much anymore, there were holes in my vision.

My vision was already so blurry, and all I could see was red, with streaks of black, the black was definitely smoke, ash, soot, and probably ashes of people. Then my eyesight faded completely. All I could feel was the heat, the feeling of my mostly plastic clothes melt onto my skin, into my skin.

My body was on fire from what I could tell, bubbling. My head hurt, it felt like it was going to explode or something. I remembered that the cranium has liquid to protect the brain from impacts, But what If that liquid gets too hot?

Am I boiling from the inside? I gasped for air, but I couldn't, I felt like I was suffocating, I grabbed my throat, feeling the skin peel off in an agonizing pain. I was melting, so why was I still awake? This pain, was like none other I've ever felt in my life.

Soon though, I woke up, in that same car. But this time, we were moving again, the stereo blasting the song "Five hundred miles" It was the only song we could play cuz the thing got stuck in the stereo and the radio stopped working years ago.

My friend was singing along, Then he looked at me, "Hey! You ok bro?!" He was smiling gleefully, I simply nodded "Just had a weird dream." He chuckled, "As long as you're ok dude!" I smiled, he was my best friend after all.

We continued down the highway, and I started chanting the song along with him. My dream never happened, but I know that It will in the future. When I'm long gone, The suns going to expand and consume the earth.

Everyone left at that time is going to burn, and we can't change that.

I'm really glad it all turned out to be a dream!! The writing was very vivid and pulling, good work!!

The spelling geek in me was highly gratified to see that another human being actually does know how to spell Fahrenheit, so kudos to you for that!!
