Heartless Hearts

Jamie was a 17 year old girl. She had lived in the country her whole life. Her family bought a farm about 5 years ago. Jamie loved that farm so much. She helped with the whole thing, especially since her parents were getting old. Jamie's parents could not do as much as they used to, which meant Jamie was doing most of the work on the farm. She was alright with that though, she had become very attached to all the animals over the past five year. She had 4 horses, 15 chickens, 17 cows, 10 pigs, and 26 sheep. She had admitted that it was hard from time to time but she dealt with it well. Her personal horse was a snow white horse with solid black eyes  and a white mane. Her name was Storm. Jamie loved the animals. She never really got out of the house unless she was getting groceries because she had done the online school option so she could be there with her parents all the time. So she never really had any friends, well this summer changed everything for her.

One weekend afternoon Jamie was getting ready to leave for the store and she found a slip on the door. It was a note. Jamie was confused, because she lived in a hidden subdivision with just her and her parents nobody knew about them and the mailman. Jamie opened the note and it read,

 Jamie, you may not remember me but this is one of your old friends that left you a long time ago to go to Mississippi when we were like 7 years old. Well I've come back now with nobody but me. If you get this message meet me at the local park so we can catch up. - Crystal

 She remembered instantly who Crystal was,  and headed to the park. She missed Crystal so much, but little did she know this would change her whole summer. When she got there she looked around and tried to find someone that could possibly be Crystal, but saw nobody. “So what” Said Jamie “she must be running a little late” and then all the sudden she see a blonde headed girl with light curls at the bottom and blue eyes and instantly new that was her, Jamie and her looked at each other for a second then run up to each other and gave each other the biggest and longest hug ever. They both say at the same time I missed you then following that they said where have you been. They both laugh and Jamie says I’m so glad you're back. As kids they both loved horses but never could offords one, so you could not wait to tell her about the farm. Jamie and Crystal ate and talked and went to the mall for about 3 or 4 hours. When they went home she was so excited to see Jamie’s parents then they went outside and rode horses for about an hour or so. They had the best day ever. Crystal ended up staying the night with Jamie.

Well about a week later Jamie started going back to school and she made a lot of new friends. Which is when she met Axel. Axel was a 18 year old boy with brown hair and green eyes with a good jawline. She absolutely loved Axel, but She  wasn't sure if he felt the same way. But one day he explained that he did and that he would like to go to the movies together on friday at 6:00 with her, and of course she went and had the best night ever they talked and after that they ended up being together. On the 4th of July Axel came over to meet her parents and Jamie’s Parents loved him. Which was a good thing, because she wasn’t gonna let him go. They loved each other, well at least she thought. A couple of weeks past and she and Crystal were hanging out and Crystal was over and got in the shower and her phone was blowing up, so Jamie was nosy and went in there and opened the phone and she saw that Axel was texting Crystal, but he had been ignoring Jamie all night. So Jamie decided to text Axel again and send pictures of the text that Crystal got like you deserve a guy that will take you out and love you. Like I would. And Jamie sent those to him and said that they were over and they were never ever going to talk again and to not even try. So when Crystal got out of the shower she came into the room and was on her phone texting with a big smile on her face then she saw Jamie crying on the floor and asked what was wrong and Jamie told Crystal to go home so Crystal instantly knew what happened and went home.

Jamie was regretting going back to school and meeting back up with Crystal, and then all of a sudden she got a text from a random number that she didn’t recognize. It was pictures of her and Crystal at the movies, and the mall that past spring when they had met back up. Jamie asked who it was texting her with no reply and so she asked to meet up at the park. And they did. it was Crystal. Jamie explained to Crystal that she never wants to see or talk to her again. Jamie went back online and never talked to anyone again from their school. And again she never left the house unless she was getting groceries. This time before bed she would cry instead of read. Every time she would feed the animals she did not talk to them as much as she used to she became very sad and lonely but kept strong in front of her parents. Because she did not want them to see her like this. One thing like meeting her old friend changed her life forever.
