                      T H E M A N

When I was a child, my dad told me this one story that he nicknamed "The man". That was when I wasn't even born. My dad was late for an important meeting and he rush through the door like he was having diarrhea. When he arrived, he was surrounded by glances from all the attendees like he was some kind of weird alien. Everyone was weird, but one person in particular. He looks like a homeless man but with really clean clothes. They made an awkward eye contact before doing the test. Things just get weirder from now on. My mom was in the hospital with me kicking her belly as a child like a psychopath. She also had to miss a promotion meeting just because of me. So that just means I'm a whole disaster to my whole family. My dad's test was 45 minutes long so he had to really concentrate on it. The room was dead silent. At least until the first or two minutes. A loud, like very loud giggle, was heard across the room. It was from the one guy I mentioned earlier and we are just going to name him "The man". No one understands why he laughed but no one cares, anyways. After 15 minutes, the man said he needs to go to the toilet, but the director said no, obviously because he could have "release" them at home. Like an act of revenge, he starts farting so loud that the sound was echoing across the whole room. It felt so bad that my dad said everyone that was in the test room lost their sense of smell. After 30 minutes, The man has already finished his test, with a big smile of happiness and pride on his face. My dad slightly look through his paper and he couldn't read a single word he wrote. My dad describes it as bad for society and would be a danger to the world. He said a blind man after seeing that test paper would cry their tears out of depression. He said it was such a miracle that he did not vomit.

 "R A N G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G G"

A loud bell was heard across the entire tower. Everyone was told to give their test paper. My dad was relieved that the test is done. And guess what, my dad was 30 MINUTES LATE TO MY FIRST EVER BIRTHDAY. He rushed through all the obstacles like it was Mario and he arrives at the hospital. I was successfully born and healthy at birth. Everything was settled until the test results came in. And 5 out of 50 people pass including my dad. Everyone's test results were also published through the group chat. Out of curiosity, my dad checks the man's test results. It said:

"You have successfully passed ..." My dad clicked the ... to see what was written and shown, and the most unexpected word was shown:

"Kindergarten"

It was so funny my dad still laughs when he talks about it nowadays, it would have been s o o o o embarrassing for him If he was reading this.

The next day, he went to work his first day. It was very tiring and fun, he exclaimed. While traveling on the street that he usually goes on. He saw a familiar face. It was the man. Looking at his phone and saying:

-" I PASSED!!" while opening music on his phone. It looks like he is doing this just for attention and money since my dad's company is very big. But my dad came next to him anyways and said:

"Aren't you the guy in the testing room with me last month? "

He said yes but seemed like he could not remember my dad. But my dad quickly understand what was going on but decided to let him figure it out himself. The next day, my dad saw the man coming with a big smile and singing some songs, but 15 minutes later, he was told to go to the office so he scream in front of my dad's boss. Then he suddenly leaves. It was quite weird and out of words, too, but my dad would quickly catch up on why they were arguing. Later that day, the sky would suddenly darken and the light begins to vanish as the first rain droplet falls, then another one and another one. It was raining! My dad forgot his umbrella so he had to wear his raincoat, my dad went through the same street seeing the man in the same position. Dancing with his phone and turning on a sad song maybe to calm him down and encourage him, but that didn't seem to work at all. The man dances with no shirt on with droplets of tears mixed with rain in his eyes. He said his last and final words:

"W H Y Y Y Y Y Y Y YY Y Y"

And he couldn't hold it anymore, he burst out in tears with the opened music phone still in his hand. Continuously smashing his hand at the street corner.

And the man was never, ever seen again. My dad found this old, memorable, unforgettable story funny and keep it as a lesson to grow day by day to not be like the man in the future. It's quite inspirational that you shouldn't be too confident and annpying. This always push me to further heights as I wouldnt want to be the man in any single aspect of my life. So this story has encouraged me a lot in my journey. Legends and myths said the man is still dancing with his 100% battery phone.
