ring, ring,ring,ring,ring

I wake up, and look at my phone.

"Oh right, today is the day, I finally goes and get my hair cut again, yes" I thought to myself. It's my favourite day! The wash, the cutting, the hairdressers soft-lukewarm hands, and lastly the smell. Oh the smell!

As I pull up to the stone brick building, I get distracted by the red-white curling thing outside the door, as a kid I never really knew what it was, and I still don't know now as an adult, all I do know is it makes me relaxed, but I'm not sure why.

I walk in, and the fumes are so strong I pretty sure my nose hairs mostly burned off. The girl at the counter look tried, she had those sleepless bags under her eyes She also looked like she'd slapped on some make-up this morning, and finally, she had this noise ring that glimmered in the dull light over the counter. I checked in, sat down, and picked up a magazine.

The cover read "7 ways to have a great body by the end of October"

and when I looked at the date it said "October, 5th, 2014", but I didn't really care. Half the way though the magazine, there was an article about "what if all humans are just giant spiders in disguise", I laughed and took a picture and sent it to my roommate. Next, I read the page about beauty at all ages, and Cher was in it, I'm pretty sure that Cher has been in the same article for years, she's just so beautiful. As I was sitting there, the lady beside me said "she's so beautiful" I look at her in confusion, "Cher, I meant", "Oh" I said, and for the next few minutes we talked about all the different movies Cher had been in, and how well she did in them. After that we sat and talked about multiple things like movies from the 90's, dogs vs cats, what we are getting done to our hair today, and lastly, about ourselves. She told me that her family came here when she was little from India. The lady from the counter called her name and she had to go, but I just kept on reading. I read about "The Giving Tree", it was about a place in the US where every year, they have an event about giving, and they give out gifts to everyone who come. Then I pulled out my phone and checked in on Facebook, at the same time, my roommate texted me "hey, that article is so funny, R U gonna get some pizza 4 dinner 2night?" and I replied with a simple "yep". For the rest of the time, I just looked at some funny jokes on Instagram, twitter, and Facebook. There was one about a cat being scared by a cucumber and another about missing and an appointment. How funny! There were also some that weren't that funny, or even worth looking at, but whatever. And then the hair dresser asked me to come to the chair.

When I sat down in the chair she asked me what I wanted done, so I told her a die and a trim, oh and also a wash. Her hands were so warm and soft and felt really good on my scalp. She firstly asked me how my day was going, I told her it was just fine. She had ash hair, but had a soft face, she also had really pretty freckles. She combed out my hair, and I could see the frustration on her face, I asked her if my hair was really knotty, she replied with "kind of", well at least she's honest, right? Next, she took me to get my hair washed, one thing I don't understand is that when your hair is getting washed, and the water is so loud, that your hair dresser tries to talk to you, even though you can't hear. The water was so nice on my head though, and the shampoo smelled amazing, like honey and lilac. She message the shampoo into my scalp, and then rinsed it out, and said something but I'm not sure what she said. Then she got out the bottle of conditioner, and squirted some onto my head and rubbed it into my hair, apparently it was that kind you have to let stand for 10 minutes, because that was what I did. When she came back, she had a cup of really good smelling coffee, then she asked me to lay back into the sink so she could rinse out my hair again. then we headed back to the chair. Once back at the chair she mixed the color I wanted, all I wanted was a blond color, and that's what she made, even better. Next she got out all the pieces of tinfoil and started dying my hair. When she put my hair in the tinfoil, it felt weird when she put the dye mixture on my strands of hair, but it was also cool at the same time. next we waited for thirty minutes while my hair settled, then she came back and checked to see if they were done. Then she took them out and brushed my hair out, so it looked like I just got out of a pool. She looked at it for a second than walked away, then came back with a of dull and sharp scissors, and told me she is going to start cutting, so I showed her the length that I wanted chopped. She agreed and made her first cut, then second, and third, and soon enough she was done. Finally she left again and came back with a comb and blow dryer, and told me she was going to start drying my hair. She stood there and dried my hair for half an hour, then left again. When she came back, she combed my hair and told me we're finished, and let me out of the chair.

Then I went and paid and bought some brand name salon shampoo and conditioner.

Finally, got the hell out of there.
