Vega's Log - 27-2-8

This is Sparkzel Vega. It's my first time off-world from home in a while, not that I'll miss Gekkoden or when they experiment and use me for strengthening the will of the Empire. I may be their Crown Prince, but I know the Commander and his sycophants won't use me for diplomacy with the planets they're planning to target. They know which planets the Modgekkon Overlord wants to take to grow his Empire. I never asked to be his son. He sees me as an anomaly to be analyzed and studied just because I was born as an Ignite weapon. The first Natural-born Ignite in Gekkoden's history, and the Empire chose to weaponize me.

The first one up for this round of conquest is Uzan Eta. A world full of noxious wildlife and an outpost for the Resistance Fighters. I was hoping we wouldn't have to run into the Resistance on these terms.

Vega's Log - 27-4-8

Pure chaos had erupted as soon as the Modgekkon foot soldiers stepped foot on the planet and were met with the power of Uzanan-infused Resistance Fighters and their pets. It was like they had lived on that planet their whole life. They had it easy, I thought, trading away their Modgekkon honor and sense of duty towards the Empire. I marveled at their power from afar, but I knew Commander Spireus had other plans...

Vega's Log - 27-5-8

The war was won before it began to take shape. Spireus and his goons had used me to... rain the unspeakable flames onto the rebellion, even if it meant sacrificing some of our own troops. The planet was conquered, and the flames of the Resistance were extinguished on Uzan Eta by my own fire.

It hurt me to be used as the Empire's last resort super weapon... Like on a few other planets: Malethebon, Lastea, Zotera, Rivemia, and even Phaxelea.

Vega's Log - 27-22-8

We came across what was left of Aqualia, a planet ravaged by war with the brutal Hagamen. It was in worse shape than we thought. Commander Spireus found it to be too easy, needing to put a foothold in a planet that he called pitiful. Yet he sent out his bloodthirsty dog, Seba Zega, to lead the squadron that would conquer any being that had somehow survived the horrible chemical weapons of the Hagamen. It was a horrid sight, attacking people that had lost so much in a different war against brutish monsters. The Commander had thought of going to Hagama, off-course from our planned next destination. He thought that these barbarians did their work for them and wanted to, in his words, pay them a visit to thank them for their work.

Vega's Log - 27-29-8

We had come into the heart of the Hagamen forces. The planet of Hagama. The Hagamen they sent out into space spent so much time and forces chasing Daothemians they left the main armada at home weak to the might of the Modgekkon Empire. They would rather die than be subjugated by beings far stronger than themselves.

Vega's Log - 27-7-9

Spireus thought that since the Hagamen did all the work on Aqualia with their superweapon, he should do the same, but with my power...

We had absorbed so many planets and races that it felt futile to ask for any of these beings for their help in my thirst for freedom from this life. They wouldn't trust a Modgekkon noble, much less anyone from the royal family, that aided in the upheaval of their home and livelihood. I didn't blame them after all the times my presence and power was used on these people. I just wished for a chance to escape from this hellish life.

Vega's Log - 27-10-10

We had come across a planet similar to Rivemia, but with plants and wildlife that weren't as deadly according to primary scans. The Commander and his entourage thought that the natives would be easier to manipulate into subjugation. Spireus and his goons would be part of an envoy, claiming that they're there to make peace with these natives. This might be the place to make my escape.

These natives seem like they would be able to fight back against the tyranny of the Modgekkon Empire. I would have to go to the nearest pod ship.

Vega's Log - 27-19-10

I had made my escape to the planet below; a rough landing into a deep hole in the middle of forest land, but the way to the pod ship wasn't much better. I had to sneak past many soldiers and their guard beasts, by using my decoy tail trick to get away when one of the beasts found and bit my tail. This set off the alarms and I had to use my finger beams and acid globs to get past these soldiers. I didn't want to miss my chance for freedom, not when this planet was my ticket out of here.

It won't be long before Seba Zega tells Spireus about my escape here. That power-hungry Ignite monster will do anything to mock the authority of the Commander if it means sating his love of losing his red flames onto the battlefield.

Vega's Log - 27-26-10

I had done it. I had used Ignition on an Earthan. He was a human boy with broken legs that was bound to be killed by the harsh weather of this part of the planet I was in. I had to save his life using the Ignition power to fuse him with my body. This left my position exposed though. The drake soldiers had found me, but I wasn't going to let them take me back to be used as the flagship weapon of the Empire again. I had used the same rainbow flames on these soldiers that had culled many a planet.

Vega's Log - 28-25-1

War had broken out not long after I had killed this search party, so it seemed that my escape to the planet Earth didn't matter. They were going to do this war with the humans whether I was present or not. Just that they won't get this planet to bow to the will of the Modgekkon Overlord quickly without my power this time. I had made sure this boy could live in the day, and I could use the cover of night to take over upon his sleep to fight off the Modgekkon soldiers that came to where I was. I used my rainbow flames to end their indoctrinated, blood-hungry lives. I had hoped that Gekkoda was giving me this chance to atone for all the lives that were taken by my hands.

I have seen through the eyes of this boy, Lukyan Silva, or Luke as the humans called him, that he fears the Empire attacking his home. My fights with the drake soldiers not doing much to deter the Empire from conquering this planet. I had never truly known what it was like to be like those Resistance Fighters that the Empire ran into time and time again.

The legendary Lagondra Envar the Hesperigian Viper, the first-born of the noble House of Envar, sparked civil unrest when he had cast aside his nobility to join the Resistance led by Teneron Vega, the first-born of the royal family. Teneron Vega despised the way the Overlord and the others that came before had continued to sacrifice lives to expand their tyrannical rule and ideologies, and so had formed a resistance out of those oppressed by the system. Teneron was executed when he was found on the neighboring planet of Sebas 467, but Lagondra had continued to stoke the flames of rebellion in his memory.

I had wished for a world where my uncle had taken me to be part of the Resistance all that time ago.

Vega's Log - 28-26-4

I had seen many losses occur through Luke's eyes. The Silvas and their friends and the Haydens had lost family, including fathers, grandfathers, and some uncles, in this war against the Empire. I had seen this mass funeral that was held for the fallen that were conscripted to fight against my people; however, the drake soldiers had found where I was in broad daylight and had tried to kill the boy that I hid in the body of. I wouldn't let them take me without a fight, and so I did, not caring about the natives seeing me use my power on my own kind.

Once the battle was over, I had to reveal myself to Luke's brother, Leo, and the Hayden siblings, Peyton and Katy, in their home. They were as apprehensive about me as I thought the natives of the other worlds would be to my presence, more so to the fact that I seemed like a perfect mimic of Luke when I wasn't. I had told them about who I was, the circumstances behind me meeting and fusing with Luke, and why I joined up with them. I offered my hand to them to join me in forming my own team of Resistance Fighters. I had told them that it won't be easy from here, but together, we will be the ones to save this world and others from the Modgekkon Empire.

I thought back to what I almost said before I had fled from that battlefield where the humans saw me: This Empire is an insult to itself, going up to a planet pretending to be peaceful before stabbing the humans in the back when the time is right for them after doing that with so many other planets. I didn't know what I would do when I escaped from Spireus' main ship, but I knew that I didn't want my flames to be used for the Empire anymore. This time, I will use them to end the Empire.
