Tina and Zack came to the end of the maze to find a big clearing with forest on either side of it. A tea party had been set up in the middle of the clearing, along with multiple colored roses; there were four different colored sections- red, yellow, green, and blue. Zack took a few quick glances at their surroundings and instantly knew where they were and what Adaline was trying to tell them; Hell’s gates will break open and a holy war will be unleashed. Zack turned to Tina, “Alice’s garden,” Tina had a confess expression on her face, “What?” Zack pointed at each of the roses and continued, “Red is wrath, yellow is greed, green is envy, and blue is lust. Adaline loves roses and vocaloids; thus creating this world from one song imparticular, Alice of Human Sacrifice.” Zack flipped open the Book of Fate and music started to come out of it. As voices came out and sang, Tina’s red eyes brightened...
The first voice was deep and feminine, “The first Alice walked into
the woods of Wonderland. Bravely, with a fearsome sword held tightly in her hand. Slicing down whatever stood in her unyielding wrath, leaving behind chaos in her wake by a red bloody path. Then Alice strayed too far, getting lost within the woods; giving in to all her sins and demons that locked her away for good. Much like the gruesome path that marked her evil ways, her life remains a mystery till this very day.” The voice then changed to a male’s, but it still had a sweetness to it, “Second Alice was a tame and tender gentleman who sang songs to all the folks who lived in Wonderland. Every day he’d sing away to all the girls and boys; stealing their hearts one by one, he’s spreading evil slowly with his voice. Whenever he would sing, people gathered around. Then his madness took a hold of him and shot him dead to the ground. His blood stained the roses to a bright and somber red. Once loved and enjoyed by all, the man was left for dead.” The voice continued to change as the song went on, “The third Alice was a lovely girl from Wonderland. The beautiful girl was born into a life so grand. She charmed all the people to ten to her every beck and call. Then she gave birth to a kingdom that would rise above them all. This Alice was crowned and turned into a queen; ruling all the people here and got lost within a crazy dream. She was so afraid of death, that the girl became mindless and warped. Once a gorgeous queen now she’s just a corpse.” The last bit of the song made Tina sheever. There were two voices singing now; and young boy and girl, “Find the bright forest path, that’s where the journey starts. A tea party with blue roses, where the forest parts. They got an invite from the queen, but it actually was from the trump card, the Ace of Hearts. The fourth Alice was a pair of siblings who were twins. They strayed into Wonderland where their tale begins. Wandering across the world, they passed through many doors. Curious of this new place, they traveled and explored. The stubborn older sister, the clever younger brother were close to see the nature of the true Alice at hand and now both will never wake up from the dream that they had planned. Forever they’ll wander hopelessly in Wonderland.” ...
Tina looked from one section of roses to the other, wide-eyed, “So they all died!?! WHAT IS WITH ADDIE AND DEATH!?!” Zack sighed and put his faces in his hands, “Adaline likes to be moved by inspiration around her and she fought with death and continues to fight for what’s right.” Tina nodded and moved towards the roses like she was in a trance. As she walked her eyes glowed a deeper red. When she came to where the rose beds began, her mouth dropped to let out a high pitch scream...
Damian had been running for what seemed like hours only to tip on a tree root. When he turned around to get up, Norman was smiling down at him. Just as Damian closed his eyes and prepared for the worse, Angel jumped onto Norman’s back. Norman tried to throw her off but Angel wouldn’t let go. Lason grabbed Damian’s arm and turned to Angel, “HURRY!” Angel jumped off and started to take off but Norman’s fire breath was aimed right at her legs...
Zack and Tina stood, wide-eyed and with mouths dropped, staring at the middle of the flower beds. Laying in the middle of each section was a human skeleton wrapped up in black roses and thorns. The yellow section had two skeletons in the middle and each had a gold chain around their necks. Zack bent down and picked up one of the black roses, “Black roses do not exist in nature, yet here they are.” Tina looked at him as he continued, “Their symbolism very in culture and everyday life. Regardless they are significant and meaningful. The black rose communicates the somber emotions of death, danger, sorrow, and revenge. Black roses can also signify obsessive love or a deep connection between anti-heroes. In fiction, black roses are often assigned to vampires, dark souls, and antagonists, signifying their evilness and dishonor.” Tina had a confused expression, “How do you know all that?” Zack smiled, “My best friend is a writer and loves roses, so put two and two together.” Tina nodded, “So what do the roses mean in this case?” Before Zack could say something, a voice was coming out of the maze. Zack and Tina dove in different directions and hid; Zack hid under the tea party’s main table and peeked out through the peach-colored tablecloth while Tina dove under one of the big rose bushes shaped to look like a rabbit. A masked figure came out from the maze holding a watering pall full of blood...
Lason stood over Angel’s burnt body overcome with pure rage. He turned and punched the nearest tree causing it to lean to the right. Norman had completely vanished into thin air, leaving Damian, Cody, Liz, and Lason to themselves. Lason looked up, “I need to go find Harper. She might be able to save her.” Liz sighed, “But Addie said-,” Lason whipped around, “Addie isn’t here and that’s not gonna stop me!” Lason opened a portal and stomped off...
