It was the middle of April 2020. Not the best time of year for Citizens of Australia nor the rest of the world. A pandemic has hit us leaving countries in panic and Lockdown, unable to travel domestically neither internationally, even cities have shut down looking like ghost towns, most days.
In one Australian city such as perth lives a young and handsome looking man named Jake and his only companion most days is his adorable cat named Max.
Due to the lockdown situation, Jake had had to work from home, but when he gets a little too comfortable in his work space he'd get distracted by Max.
Jake was working on a deadline for his company wich was rather firing up to success. He stays up late most nights to complete tasks to make sure his deaslines are being met but Max was meowing for his attention jumping on his lap, rubbing her head against his arm.
The following day Jake is up bright and early still very tired from being up all night but he had been woken up by Max and she was hungry.
Jake then decides to jump into the shower for a quick freshen up but not long after he hears max meowing and scratching on the door with her paws.
He then got angry at her when he had seen she made new scratches on the door after a fourth coat of paint that month. He punished her by putting her outside for a whole week. Ever heard of a pet being grounded by it's owner? Well Max was grounded. No TV, Chicken or cuddles for the whole week. Poor Max.
Many hours later, while Jake was working on his deadline, Max stood at the glass window, staring into the distance of the living area with her cute eyes. She was longing to be inside and just to her luck it started raining. Jake then let Max inside and as she models into the house she shakes her body and the wet droplets from the rain wich wet her furr had spritzed everywhere, wetting the television screen and Jake's Laptop keyboared.
He put out more tuna, biscuits and milk for the evening.
Once all comfortable and settled, Jake was ready to submit his dradlines he had been working on for so long and just when he turns his head to take a sip of water , Max puts her paw on the keyboared erasing all pages off the screen. Jake got so furious he worked on getting all those pages back on screen before 12am.
Luckily one hour later, he had finally gotten back all pages and immediately submitted his assignments.
Through all those distractions of Max. Jake was just so happy that he had forgotten all her mischievous and curious behaviour.
They had celebrated success and Max was no longer punished.
The next day they did gardening
Max was excited to be outside with her owner, and Jake, well he was just happy to be outside for fresh air after all those days being inside the house, working. He had planned to do alot of planting. On his way to getting the seeds and garden tools from his shed, Max decides to roll in the sand of wich Jake dug to place the seeds. Jake got angry again because she had been washed and her nails had been trimmed at the pet parlour before Perth had gone into lockdown and they would not even be open now if she should get ticks her fire or even little buggs and carry it into the house. He thought, oh well, there is no use of fussing abojt it and just let her have her fun, hopefully she'll behave now for the rest of this fine sunny day and stop distracting him from completing gardening tasks as he had planned when they have started the day.
Just before lunchtime Jake had finished all the planting around his home, wrapped it all up, packed away his gardening tools back into the shed and went inside for a bite inviting Max in but she refused the invite by just standing near the door as though she had preferred to stay outside. Jake then put on a comedy film with his bourbon on rocks to relax and fell asleep on the sofa. He the heard a noise and went outside to call out for Max to go inside for an early dinner when then to his shock once again Max had been naughty and dug up all the plants Jake had planted during their fun day outside. He was too much of a tired owner to be angry at her but he was too tired.
He had thought to himself that perhaps Max was making a noise to get attention, perhaps she found a friend or a mouse but she just wanted to be with Jake that's why shedistracts him by doing things that will give her his full attention.
They were both tired and watched a couple of movies together and Max fell asleep on Jakes chest, peacefully, gently.
Max had woken Jake up with her meowing for some biscuits, milk and to use her cat loo. Jake decided to get up too and do some work on his laptop and fill out some paperwork. Made himself some nice hot tea, laid out some pens and pencils on his desk, took out his diary and notebook and started checking his paperwork and poetry. Yes, this handsome Bachelor was also a published poet and a fine one indeed, who takes so much orite in his writing.
AAnyhow, Max had sneakily walked behind Jakes chair and jumped up on his desk. He had been ignoring her again so she had a plan to distract him to get his attention. She then sat quietly on his desk staring at him as though she has this laugh inside of her because of her brilliant plan, and when she knew that he was relaxed she tipped his pens and pencils onto the floor watching ot roll one by one until it was stopped by the floor rug.
She then received her cuddles and kisses and was a very happy cat
The End.
