The Origin Of The Enchanted Primrose Forest

"Tears were falling onto my face, as I stared at Lilac with a sorrowful look. "You're going to be okay, I promise." She gave me a despairing smile and mumbled, "I just wonder how we got to this point." I sighed and said, "me too...me too..."

It has been a long winter, as I look out my window I see the sun is shining bright, and the flowers are blooming. As I walked out of my small house, I looked around at my village. I hear families and friends coming out of their home laughing or chatting with each other. We survive another season together, now it's time to be free again. "Lady Primrose!! Lady Primrose!!!" I heard shouting coming towards me. I quickly looked and saw chipmunks running my way. "Well hey guys, to what do I owe the pleasure to see you guys lovely faces?" I said as I kneel down to them. "T-T-THERE A MUNDANE NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE FOREST!" they shouted. I smiled and said, "It alright little ones, no mundane can get into the forest even if they tried. My magic will stop them." Two guards then ran up to me, I slowly got up from kneeling. Arthur, one of the guards said, "Lady Primrose we got a problem, our outside guards are saying there is a group of mundane roaming around the entrance and are capturing many doves." I scoffed and was furious. "It is barely the start of spring and they have the nerve to try and capture our friends, well they have another thing coming!" I stated and began walking towards the entrance. "I want half the guards to make sure everyone is safe and the other half to come with me to the entrance now!" I stated as I used my magic to put on my amour dress and another guard handed me my sword. "Yes ma'am, I will tell Niko and I am pretty sure he will lead the army toward the entrance, so it should be a good five minutes." Arthur said as I am at the entrance of the forest. "We do not have five minutes, I will take them on my own and free our friends." I said as I walked through the barrier and had my sword ready. Arthur then gulped and the other guard said, "We better hurry before Niko has both of our heads if anything happens to Lady Primrose." Arthur nodded and they ran towards the guard tower. I slowly looked around and saw the group of mundane. I scoffed as I saw them load many helpless dove into a machine while laughing and talking. There were only four men and none had weapons. I slowly approached the men and said, "I believe those beautiful creatures do not belong in cages." All four men stopped what they were doing and turned toward me and gave me a glare. "Listen here....dolly we have a job to do and we are on a time limit, so do us a favor and run along." One of them said as him and his crew began to load the dove again. "I will not ask again, release them or you leave me no choice. These beautiful doves are human too and have families." I state as I raise my sword. The three men back away as the main guy stood his ground. "Look here crazy, we are just doing our job to earn money for our actual real families." I scoffed and stated, "Then you leave me no choice, but to engaged into combat prepare to be on the ground." They slowly begin walking towards me until we all heard a voice from behind them, "What is the hold up you fools, if the boss don't have these doves by tonight it going to be off with our heads." A girl with long purple hair, fair skin, pink pucker lips and her blue ocean eyes approach the men pushing then aside. She stopped for a second looking me up and down. I shook my head and stated, "Y-y-you must r-r-release these d-doves! T-They aren't m-meant to be k-kept in cages!" Why was I stuttering and why am I suddenly nervous, did I somehow get ill. The girl glared into my eyes as she bit her lip back. "What your name and they are just birds." She said as she crossed her arms and I scoffed. "I am Lady Primrose, the protector of this forest! I speak for the woodland and mythical creatures who live here, the birds you have are pleading for help." I stood proud until she and her crew burst out laughing. "Wow I am sorry, you must really have lost your mind, I mean the birds are pleading for help? You can actual talk to them!" She said as she clutched her stomach. I sighed and held my sword and pointed to her. "I don't want to harm you, just let the doves go and we all could be on our way safely. She stopped laughing and stared at me for a moment. She grew an evil smirk and said, "It's five of us against one of you or do you have an army of the woodland creatures oh and let not forget the mythical creatures as well!" She said as she burst out laughing. "I am sorry Queen Primrose, are we late?" Niko shouted as he walked towards Primrose with a few guards. I smiled as Niko came to my side and I swear I thought I saw sadness in the girl's eyes. "State your mission and name!" Niko shouted at them as he took out his bow and aimed for the girl. She gulped, but didn't show her fear. "I am Lilac Von Barnes, daughter of-'' before she could finish, Niko spoked up and said, "Your the daughter of Esther Von Barton and Steven Booker Barnes!?" She nodded and my eyes widened in anger. "So I guess you heard of my parents and know I am not to be-." Before she could finish I grabbed Niko bow and shot her in her arm. Niko's eyes widened in shock and quickly took the bow as I heard her grunt in pain. "YOU ARE AS SICK AS YOUR PARENTS THEN! YOU DON'T DESERVE MERCY OR LOVE!" I shouted at her as I walked towards her as Niko tried holding me back. Lilac's whole crew had run away as she was on her knees holding her shoulder. I walked up to her and brought my head towards her, "Bring her with us, she will be locked up in a cell until I have decided what to do with her." I said as I watched fear clouded her eyes. I walked past her and began setting the doves free. Niko snapped his fingers, telling the guards to grab Lilac and take her to the cell. Once everyone left Niko walked up to me and said, "Deandra are you a-alright?" I took a deep breath and faced Niko. "Yes I am alright Niko, I just need to collect myself." Niko nodded and held his arm out for me to grab. I smiled and grabbed onto his arm and we began to walk  back into the forest. Once we entered everyone had gathered around the entrance with worried and relieved faces. I let go Niko arm and raise my voice so everyone can hear, "Everyone there is no need to worry, the mundane have been set off and our friends have been free!" Everyone cheered and many nods with smiles. "I must let you know that I have brought one of the mundane back as they will be in one of the cells." I stated as everyone began to chatter with worry and anger in their voices. Niko cleared his throat and shouted, "I want no one to worry, she will not cause harm! I will have guards with her 24/7, but until we figure everything out she will remain un-harm." I nodded and stated, "Please let us enjoy the first day of spring where we could be free and no trouble to come!" After a while everyone seemed to scatter from their place, as I followed Niko to the cells. Once we entered, there Lilac was sitting down, her knees brought up to her chest as she clutched her shoulder from where I shot her. Why did I feel bad for her, curse my kindness. "Open the cell Niko." I said as Niko gave me a strange look. Lilac rolled her eyes and looked away from us. "L-Lady P-Primrose are you sure?" Niko said worried and I took a deep breath. "Yes please Niko." Niko nodded and unlocked the cell and soon I entered. I crouch in front of Lilac and tilt my head at her as she was still staring at the wall. "You know the wall isn't going to change unless ya know magic," I said as I gave a small smile. She turned her head towards me and spat in my face, I slowly wiped it off. "YOU HAVE SOME NERVE TO MAKE JOKES AFTER YOU BASICALLY TOOK ME AS A PRISONER!" Lilac shouted at me. I scoffed at her and said, "You basically mock me and not to mention kidnaped my friends, for being the daughter of the most ruthless hunters, you aren't very bright." She tried to put on a brave face, but I could tell she was hurt by what I had said. I try to touch her shoulder where I have wounded her but she quickly hits my hand away. "DO NOT TOUCH ME, WITH YOUR DISGRACE OF HANDS!" she shouted as she flinched from shouting. I rolled my eyes and hit her hand away from her wound and touched the wound with my palm. She groaned in pain and I slowly healed her wound. I pushed my hand away from her and she was shocked that her wound was completely healed. I slowly got up and left the cell. Niko seemed also shocked that I healed her and locked the cell back up. "H-How.....W-W-why.....huh!?" Lilac said confused and I laughed a bit. She stared at me with anger. She got up and shouted, "WHAT SICK GAME ARE YOU PLAYING YOU MONSTER!?" I raised an eyebrow at her and Niko crossed his arms. "She is not playing any sick game, she is just kind and if I was in her place I would have just left you in the condition you are in! Your family murder many of our people and hurt so many families!" Niko said as he rolled his eyes. I slap the back of Niko's head as Lilac begins to think. "I am not a cruel person nor a monster, We all have our stories but we have no reason to be cruel no matter what." I said as I turned away from her and Niko scratched the back of his head. I took a deep breath and faced her and she had a sad and angry look on her face. "MY FAMILY AND CREW WILL COME FOR ME, YOUR PEOPLE ARE MONSTERS THEY HAVE ALSO KILL BUT YOU ARE PROTECTING THEM!" She shouted. I sigh and Niko takes an angry deep breath. "There is a difference between your people and my people. Your people hunt others for pleasure and to fill a void in them, while my people are fighting for their life's and this is the only place where they feel safe. Your people have no sense of loyalty, but here loyalty is a number one thing." I said as she glared at me. Arthur came in and bowed. "I-I-I am sorry Lady Primrose and Captain Niko, I need Captain Niko for some paperwork and it is almost time to train the new recruits sir!" Captain Niko nodded and said, "Thank you Arthur you are dismissed." Niko carefully dragged me towards the door and began to whisper. "Deandra, are you okay with watching her for a few hours, I understand you're very busy but I don't trust no one to watch her beside me and Lorenzo. Lorenzo is currently on outside guard duty, if he gets back sooner I will send him your way." Niko whispered and I rolled my eyes. "Niko I understand, I will be fine, take your time," I said as I pushed him towards the door. I walked towards Lilac and sat down beside her cell as she walked into a corner. "You know I have the abilities to talk to the woodland creatures and I heard stories." I said as I looked at Lilac and she just stared at me. "You know I believe you are different from your parents and could do better." I said as she gave me a blank stare. "You barely know me." I smiled and said, Yeah but when I look into your ocean eyes I see someone who seeks approval but it's not always good enough isn't it? She turned her head away and I looked up and said, "I think you're good enough." Lilac turned her head and stared at Primrose. "I am sorry about what I said earlier. You aren't as sick as your parents and you do deserve mercy and love. Just answer this.....why do you still seek approval from them even after you killed Corina Irena Foster and Domingo James Bishop? She looked at me with shock and said, "H-How do you know about that? Why do you even care?!" I looked at her as tears fell down my face and said, "They were my parents, that's why your parents hated them so much, but don't worry I hold no grudge I just wonder why." She looked sorrowful and said, "They are my parents, I just want to make them proud." I nodded and she stepped closer to where I was and asked, "Why do you forgive me and feel that I am good enough?" I smiled and said, "I don't know why I forgave you, but I do know that you are good enough because all you want is love." She got closer to me and said, "I could have killed you or escaped already, but I don't want to." I smiled and said, "Then don't, you could stay here?" The alarm started going off and we quickly stood up. Arthur came bursting through the door and shouted, "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK THEY GOT THROUGH THE BARRIERS PRIMROSE!!!" I shook my head and ran out. I saw a group of mundane heading toward me while holding bats. "ENOUGH! LEAVE NOW! WHAT DO YOU WANT?! HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE!?" I shouted as I reached for my sword. All the woodland creatures and mythical beings run and scatter. "We came to distract you, so our spy could finished her duty." One of them said as I slowly shook my head, I had led my guard down. I quickly turned around and saw Lilac coming towards her. She gave me a sad look as I did the same. "WHY?! I WAS GOING TO LET YOU LIVE HERE AND HELP YOU!!" I screamed. She took a deep breath and said, "I-I-I am sorry, but I-I.." I scoffed and said, "Maybe I was wrong, no you aren't like your parents your worst. Playing with people's emotions and putting on an act. I am so stupid. Lilac stays silent and Primrose shouted, " DO IT THEN! KILL ME! FINISH YOUR LITTLE MISSION!" The group of mundane cheer from behind me as I stare at Lilac with tears in my eyes. Lilac quickly ran up to me and stabbed me in my stomach the whole mundane cheered. Lilac stared at me with widen and eyes and mumbled "what did I just do!?" She crouched down to my level as she began to sob. "I am so sorry Primrose.....I am sorry please don't leave me..." Lilac said as she held Primrose in her arms. I stared at Lilac with a sorrowful look. "You're going to be okay, I promise." She gave me a despairing smile and mumbled, "I just wonder how we got to this point" I sighed and said, "me too....me too." I felt myself slowly slipping away. "L-Lilac if you want to be forgiven, take care of the forest for me or make sure the forest is taken care of." I said hoarsely. "N-NO PRIMROSE YOU ARE GOING TO BE OKAY, I PROMISE YOU!!!" I smiled at her and said, "Please call me Deandra, soon in another life maybe we will get our chance." I slowly close my eyes. "N-N-NO DEANDRA!!!! PLEASE I BEG OF YOU OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!" Niko came running up to Lilac and was in shock, "W-What did you do!! DEANDRA!!!!!" Niko shouted as Lilac slowly hugged Deandra's body.

It's been 3 years now since your death, I couldn’t fill your promise like you wanted. I am not worthy to be in charge of the forest you created. I did something better though. I stood up to my parents for you. Lilac chuckled to herself, I got disown. I know you don’t believe in violence and being a monster, but there are no more hunters and when there is I make sure to be a monster for them. Niko is in charge of the new forest, he let me name it to The Enchanted Primrose Forest. He had forgiven me last year and I am grateful for it and he allowed me to visit the forest in honor of you. He says you wouldn’t have wanted this even though he dislikes this very much, He trusts your choices. He believed you died, so I can see my ways to feel what It's like to lose someone you love. I just wish it didn’t hurt that much and that you were still here with me. Lilac sighs as she slowly touches Primrose gravestone. “I love you.” Lilac said.
