It was supposed to be usual daily life for the citizen of the Great Empire Marzen. At this time, people usually busy doing their business at the town. The children running around, women busy doing chores and men doing works including labors.

Then, there were nobles. Attending tea parties, shopping around the expensive boutiques and jewelry stores, flashing their riches and spending money non-stop. The noble men entering the palace, serving the emperor of the empire and his queen. That was the daily life of the great empire envy by many.

At least until today.

The once peaceful empire now was flooded with blood. People were running around, saving themselves paying no attention to their surroundings. Even though they collided with others, their legs never stop. Sweats dropped from their forehead, gritted teeth, and shivering from fear. The only thing they think about was to run.

Run before he catches you.

Once they got near the empire's gates, they felt relieved and their eyes sparkle with hopes. But once they saw the figure standing in the middle, blocking them all the hopes came crashing down in a second.

His silver hair shone under the blazing sun, his silver armor covered in blood, no- his whole being was covered in blood. When he lifted his head up, his cold green eyes reflects nothing but anger and hatred. His right hand was holding the bloodied sword. But when he raised his left arm, the people were horrified. Some was puking and others stumbled on their feet.

The head of the emperor.

Then one by one started to kneel, their hands clapped together asking for mercy. The only word he heard was "Please". The word he once uttered long before. The cause of his misery.

"Please.. Please!!"

A pathetic sight indeed. The people whom he despised the most now on their knees but how come his desire did not ease? He then raise his sword and then the ground started to shook from heavy footsteps. From the outside of the gates, thousands of army charged after getting the signal from the man.

Just like that, the people that were kneeling started to panic but before they can run their life was taken away in a second. The man just stood there silently. His mission was finally accomplished after years of patience.

That night, his army of two hundred thousands were busy partying in the palace hall, not caring about their appearance. But their commander was not there. And the army knew where he would be and they just let him be.

Because he needs it.

Standing in front of the sole throne of the empire, the silver haired man thought why that chair covered in gold was so important that he was forced to sin.

Years passed since that tragedy, but it was as if it happened yesterday. His sleepless nights, his nightmares haunted him every single day. Regret, anger and betrayal. He trained so hard, each second was never wasted just for this day.

He just killed the emperor, whom he once called 'father'. But he didn't feel even an ounce of regret. No mercy. Just like how he was taught by the emperor himself.

"You witch! How dare you try to run away from my palace!? Even after I accepted that little bastard!?" The golden haired emperor yelled.

The black haired woman was kneeling in front of him, hands tied on her back, guarded with two men on each sides. The nobles in the throne room were gossiping behind her back. But her spirit never waver, not even once.

And the little silver haired boy was standing just a few away on her right. He, who was still too young to understand anything only thought that his father was very angry at his mother. His so-called father was yelling again and he tried to run to him. He thought that his father will listen to him, just like what he did every single time.

But at that very moment, the emperor took his sword and in one swing his mother's head fell to the ground. And her lifeless eyes stared straight to his. In that moment, something inside him crashed.

After that night, his life was never the same. He was thrown out of the castle and started living in pain. The people who saw him threw rocks and many things to him. He was insulted, stoned, hit, starved and tortured everyday. His friends turned their back on him, his father took a new queen and started a new family. But he was alone.

Yet he still hoped. Maybe his father will find him back forgive his mother. In his little hut just near the forest, he hoped.

Then 5 years passed, he was in his teen when he was dragged into the palace. He was very happy. He bathed, ate and clothed just like what he used to do. Then when he was called by his father, he immediately ran to the throne room.

Sitting there was his father and another woman with a child standing beside her. His little brother he thought. His smile was radiant but his heart hurts.

But in front of his father, the very place where his mother died, was a figure in covered with cape from head to toe, so he couldn't see who that person was. "Do you see that sword on the floor beside you? I ordered you to kill this person."

He hesitated, his hand was shaking. But the piercing gaze of the emperor encouraged him. Maybe this way, we will be family again he thought. Then he took the sword and he dashed forward. Once he stabbed the person, his cape fell revealing his long silver hair.

Then the emperor laughed.

"Do you know who that is!? He is your father! You killed him with your own hands! How does it feel!?" He look at his bloodied hands and his breath became erratic. No No NO!

"That clothes you are wearing! The food you ate just now! Everything was his! You are a sinner! A murderer of your own parent!" NO!

"Please.. Please!!"

He then run towards the lifeless man in front of him. His eyes was closed but his features was just like his. His silver hair, his mouth, his nose and his mouth. They look just like his.

Tears streamed down his cheeks as he embrace the man that he never called father. Then, he was forced to be apart from his biological father and thrown away from the palace once again.

As he grew up, he then learned that his mother was a married woman before she became the empress. She had a child from her previous marriage and she tried to run away with her child because she never love the emperor. It was forced.

Her husband was fallen noble but he was kind and a patient man. When his wife was taken away, he was locked in an unknown place for years.

The emperor loved his mother. That's why he accepted him even though they had no relation. But his love was obsessive. If he can't have her, no one can.

After that he vowed to revenge his parents and tear the whole disgrace of empire down with his own hands. And he did.

He kneel on the place where his parents died and he touched the floor. "I did it, mother, father. I'm sorry for being late." He then stood up again and looked straight to the throne with his blank eyes. He strides forward and he sits on the throne and crossed his legs.

He then felt the presences of two people on his sides. Though he can't see them, he can feel it. His parents on his sides, reminding him of his sins which he will atone for the rest of his life. His dark past which will follows him everyday.

Just then, the enormous doors were pushed open and his army lead by five commanders walk forward until they were few meters apart. Then they went on one knees and they shouted in sync.

"ALL HAIL YOUR MAJESTY THE EMPEROR!"

This is his destiny, his burden and the path chosen for him. The emperor, whom was known as the Silver Knight.

This was a fantasy epic indeed. I liked your story. It was interesting. :) However, I am just not sure why you had the bigger font and then the smaller font ? It made it a little bit tricky to read it. If you want to show a change in the time, usually I just put **** between the two parts or sometimes you can use italics (although that can also be a bit tricky to read). Also, just keep an eye on your tenses. Most stories are told in past tense (like it already happened). Otherwise, I still enjoyed your story. :)
