Smooth sailing? Or so you may think.

Uh-oh

We are taking on water😥

Too much water as a matter of fact.…. the body cannot handle the deluge.

And there is no place else to go.😵‍💫

Sloshing along.

Slopping along.

No skipping going on here.

No skipping into the sunset, waiting for the magnificent moon to save your life.

Single.

Solo.

One mast.

Single jib.

It may just be too late.😬

Perhaps now one wishes or wished they were a little bit nicer to those around them, at the time they could have been a little nicer to those around them.

Karmatic clouds a storm in’ in.

Yikes.

It is all about the rig. The rigging.🫣

The rig is in.

The cut is too.

In honor of today.🇺🇸 And the brave and honorable fighters, the defenders of freedom. Rigging involves a sloop-of-war which was quite different from a civilian or mercantile sloop, which was a general term for a single-masted vessel rigged in a way that would today be called a gaff cutter….(wk)

(not the kind of gaff that rhymes with laugh) An outburst of laughter of which others look and possible stare at the gaffer.😳

continuing:

A gaff cutter (usually without the square topsails then carried by the cutter-rigged vessels), though some sloops of that type did serve in the 18th century British Royal Navy, particularly on the Great Lakes of North America.(wk)

In the first half of the 18th century, most naval sloops were two-masted vessels, usually carrying a ketch or a snow rig.

A catch and a ketch. Sound the same.🥎⚾️🏈🏀🎾⚽️🥊

A ketch had main and mizzen masts but no foremast. A snow had a foremost and a main mast immediately shaft which a small subsidiary mast was fastened on which the spanker☺️ was set.

No. Not that spanker,☺️ we are adults even though sometimes we do not act like one many or much of the time.😔 Old age, middle age, younger age. Oh a time for the ages.

The stock on international waters has risen sharply while the depths have shallowed out considerably……..Now. That is the real,

uh-oh

Matters not how much soap we have or all the tea in china…..if there is no H2O, aqua, the clear stuff. To mix. A time for the ages. Future ages. No sailing away any time soon.

During the Age of Sail. A period of time that lasted from mid 15/16th-century to the mid 19th centuries, in which the dominance of sailing ships in global trade and warfare culminated, particularly marked by the introduction of naval artillery and ultimately reached its highest extent at the advent of the analogue Age of Steam.

Age of Steam. Steamboat.

Aka. A move toward ground Transportation.🚕🚌🚒🚑🚙🚕🚓🛻🚚🚛🚜🚐🚎🛴🩼🦽🚲🛵🏍️🚂🚶‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃👩‍🦯

Not quite yet though.

You get the point.

The steam boat motored along, yes.

However.

A few stacks had to be blown. First.😬

The constant?

In the journey from point A to point B. Lay not so much in the barnacle barge and its parts. Although, parts is parts. Or the broken down barnacle barge. Again. Parts is parts.

It is within the natural order of motivations and intentions. Personal, Professional, Group. Individual. To buy in or buy out, doesn’t really matter at this point. The ramifications are far and wide reaching. Just like a beautiful and majestic sail boat. And for a time the steam, of the steam boat.

Over time, the steamboat battle ships battled various situations, nemeses, enemies, friendly fire…carrying loads to and fro. For example. In the Suez Canal in the Middle East, which opened in 1869, was more practical for steamships than for sailing ships, achieving a much shorter European-Asian sea route, which coincided with more fuel-efficient steamships. (wk)

Hmm. The price of gas was not of concern. Yet. That would come to be in the coming years, when a virus slammed the shores of the world. In the 21st century. Fast forward to the now. To the 21st century and it appears and is quite evident all the steam in the world did not help some folks survive the coughs, the loads, the cough loads and the viral journey.

Elements of surprise have a way of catching us off guard.

All the fight in their world did and was not enough to battle of the bugs. And we are here. Where we are. The way we are. Not the way we were.

For some be it dumb luck.

For some be it the grace of God.

For some be it a roll of the dice.

For some be it a crack of a code.

For some be it they were too mean.

For some be it they were too nice.

For some be it they cared too little.

For some be it they cared too much.

For some be it they looked the other way.

For some be it they stared directly in the eyes of another.

For a sign.

Navigation.

Compass.

Moral compass.

Anything.

A blank stare.

A death-like stare.

Staring right into the soul of another.

Slip sloshing right through the lies and mistruths to get to the heart and the bottom of the matter is a process. Takes time. Takes your time. Takes another person’s time.

Take the time, to delve into another person’s soul and the answer most likely in there.

No. We are not talking about the superpower-type of mysterious and mischievous behavior with the undertakings of one-up-man-ship at all costs. Winning at all costs. The costs of other’s lives.

Many of the synonymous meanings of snoop have perilously negative connotations. That is why a stare deep into the eyes of another usually is the only prescription.

Don’t be a snooper.

It is unbecoming.

Making uninvited inquiries into the private affairs of others is mean. Rat. Spy. Snitch. Denounce. “Tell on”.

Busy body, eavesdropper, gumshoe, meddler.

Butt-in☺️

Peeping Tom.🫣

In a sneaking or meddlesome way.

Musta dropped-the-moral-compass-under-the-bed-kinda-thing.

The funny thing or not so funny thing, depending on your point of view, your reasons. Is we all snoop when we are left to our devices, left alone with our devices. I think it is called “browsing”…..in the 21st century.

If that is the best we got, the only “superpower”. We will all be in big, big trouble. Big brother is watching. And it is not a pretty sight.💩👻😼👺🤞🏻👀👁️🫵🏻
