Magical snow

Roxy is walking down the street to reach the Grocer,it was freezing cold but unfortunately she had no other way and hence had to walk the distance,the roads were empty with just few vehicles and very less people as well due to holiday season and as it had snowed heavily yesterday the people preferred to stay indoors rather than stepping out.

She saw few poor kids sitting in the road in such cold weather which would freeze anyone,they were sitting without winter clothes and blanket and nobody bothered to help them,Roxy was helpless as she didn't have enough money to help them.The kids saw her passing and thought she would help them but she passed by.

On the way she saw a park covered with snow and one or two kids playing,she stopped by and saw them playing and realized about how the poor kids don't have such happy life she then remembered to buy the grocery and so she rushed,returning from the Grocer she again saw the poor kids and gave them fruits and biscuits from her shopping and they were happy,Roxy also gave her scarf to the youngest one who was shivering from cold, she saw the park and went in,the park was empty,she saw the pure and white snow and felt like playing with it,she took the snow and made snow man out of it,she started jumping and running here and there and then she was tired,she sat on the bench and suddenly her eyes went to the snow and she saw the snow was as it is,without any footprints of her or the children who played there,which was an impossible thing,she again walked and ran there but again she found no footprints,she was surprised and she walked a little further in the park but no footsteps at all,she ran onto the street took a few footsteps and her footprints were visible clearly,she didn't know what was wrong with that,she was astonished by this fact,she sat on the bench and she saw something bright shining under the snow,she dug and dug and found a paper with stones which read,"the snow is magical and the one who safeguards the snow and the snow queen from others gets a reward",Roxy was surprised and agreed to protect the snowy park from others,she rushed to her home and kept the grocery at home and took a blanket and coffee flask and sat there,she sat on the bench hours after hours,it started snowing heavily and she thought that she would freeze but she didn't move out of the park and she didn't know what to do now but she sat there guarding the snow,her face was covered with snow,she started shivering and slept there,morning she found herself warm and cozy as if she had invisible blanket on her.Kids started coming in the park but she stood there and didn't allow anyone to come inside,people wanted to come in with there kids but Roxy didn't allow anyone and said that the park belonged to her even after knowing the consequence of such thing,this kept happening until last few days of the holiday season and one day a kid came with his parent who was a cop and claimed to arrest her if she would not stop being arrogant and thinking the park to be hers and not allowing anyone to enter the park,she said the cop about the letter she received,the cop laughed at her and said it to be children's mischief ,she told about the footprints and the cop tried to walk and jump but to his astonishment the snow and no footprints and was shining white and bright,he then called one of his friend who was a scientist and he agreed to come,they kept waiting hour after hour but his friend didn't arrive ,suddenly Roxy heard a sound and started replying,she heard a sound which said her thank you for all that she did and asked her to fill her flask with snow and carry it home and not to open it until the summer season and also said that she has been a excellent guard.Roxy did so and sat quite again the cop asked about her talking but she didn't reply to him,the scientist arrived but before he could step in,the sunshined bright and to their astonishment the freezing and thick snow disappeared in seconds they were shocked but could do nothing,Roxy laughed and left to her home.

It was Summer now,Roxy till then never even touched the flask and kept in her shelf and used to think what could be her reward and who made her to safe gated the snow,it was the day to open it and when she opened it,she found a letter thanking her and saying her that she will always be welcomed into the park and in summer she would receive chilly winds when she would sit in the park and in winter hot wind and also the gold she gets is for her and the snow queen would be waiting for her every winter in the hope that she would safeguard her from anyone catching her,Roxy then put hand into the flask and found gold coins and chains with gems,she was surprised about the magic which turned snow into gold,she was very happy and took only what she needed and sold the rest from which she bought clothes for the poor kids and also fed them,the kids were happy and thanked her,she took them with her to the park and saw them playing,she sat on the bench and smiled,the chilly wind in the summer's day made her smile more and she remembered the snow queen,the kids played with her.

Every winter she would go but not alone along with the poor kids and help the snow queen protect her magical snow from people and in return she would give them reward,Roxy also admitted the kids to the school and educated them,all this was possible through the reward that she would get in return,Roxy was not selfish and helped the poor kids which made her a kind guard and hence the Snow queen was happy and wanted to take Roxy with her forever for which Roxy had agreed as well and One winter,when Roxy was 45 years old,the snow queen blew chilly wind which froze Roxy's body and freed her soul and the Snow queen took Roxy along with her to the Snow heaven,the poor kids who now were educated businessmen and womens were successful in life and hence as a tribute to her made Roxy's statue and thanked her whatever she did and named the park after her.
