LGBTQ+ Thriller Romance

Primrose woke up on a clear Saturday morning, feeling well rested. She felt quite happy because the day before, she had scored a date to prom. Her date was going to be her best friend and crush of two years, Abby. Primrose had waited a long time to ask Abby out, as Primrose did not know whether Abby like girls or not. As it turned out, Abby did. Primrose lay in bed for another ten minutes before deciding to get up and eat breakfast while looking at her phone and text Abby. Primrose really wanted to post about her date, but some of her followers were not the most accepting. She got up and went to the kitchen, got herself a bowl of cereal and sat down at the dining table. She set down her bowl of cereal and tried to use her fingerprint to open up the phone. The phone wouldn't accept her fingerprint, which wasn't that odd for a phone that was as old as hers. She typed in her password manually, yet her phone still didn't let her in. That made Primrose annoyed and she typed in her password again, but no luck. She remembered that the third time was a charm and typed in the code again, yet her phone still wouldn't let her in. She gave up and decided to access Instagram through her computer. She finished up her breakfast and went on to her computer. Primrose sighed in relief when her computer worked. She checked her email first and noticed that there was an email saying that her Instagram password had been changed, when she hadn't changed it at all. She scrolled farther down the email and it said it was changed from her iPhone. Primrose muttered angrily to herself about her phone. She assumed her account had been hacked and decided to change her Instagram password so she could get in and so if there was a hacker, they couldn't access her account. She changed her Instagram password and logged onto Instagram. She noticed her DM's were blowing up, which was strange, because usually nobody texted her at all, aside from Abby and her group chat for science. She could see that there was around 15 people messaging her and that definitely worried her. She went onto her DM's and checked Abby's message first. Abby had written: Why didn't you tell me that it was just a dare to ask me out and that you're actually straight? Why did you have to publicly humiliate me like that? You know we live in an unaccepting town!! I hate you and I'm never speaking to you again. Confused, Primrose texted back saying: When did I say that? I never said anything like that!!! And for your information, asking you out wasn't a dare because I actually like you, like a lot! Primrose only had to wait a minute before Abby texted back saying: Look at your Instagram story.... Primrose went to her Instagram story and looked at it. She looked at her story in horror as everything Abby had said Primrose had done, was written in Primrose's story. The story had been posted on her phone an hour before she had checked her Instagram on her computer, so Primrose knew it wasn't her. She assumed it had to have been a hacker, so she asked tech support to check if someone had hacked her account. They got back to her, saying that there was no reports of it being hacked. Primrose thought back to how strange her phone had been acting, but quickly brushed it off as a coincidence. She checked her email again and found that her phone had purchased ten apps from the appstore and had ordered Uber Eats off the app. She had never gotten the app for Uber Eats, so that made her suspicious of her phone. She decided to bring her phone down to an Apple store to check it. Primrose brought it down and got the phone checked. She explained everything that had happened and was told that she had caused it herself, while sleepwalking. She knew it wasn't sleepwalking because she had never sleepwalked before and it didn't run in the family. As she exited the Apple store, she heard what sounded like an evil laugh come from her phone. Primrose was having a suspicion that her phone was causing the problems. She decided to have someone else type in her phone password to see if it would let them in. She asked her brother to type in her code and he did. The phone let him in with no problem. At that point she knew that her phone had somehow gotten a mind of its' own and hated her. She went onto her computer and quickly bought a new phone. She got priority shipping and was told that she would receive it the next day. Primrose sighed in relief and went onto Instagram via her computer and texted Abby back saying: Funny story, that wasn't actually me. It was some sick hacker who knew about us. Are we still on for prom? Please say yes! She waited with bated breath and hoped for the best. The five minutes she waited for Abby's reply was pure torture, but squealed in excitement when Abby replied back: Of course! I won't let a hacker ruin our date!!! :) <3 Primrose smiled in relief and happiness and wrote back: Can't wait to dance with you and not have anything ruin it!! The next day, she got her new phone and immediately turned it on and made it hers. She made sure that she could access everything and that her phone wasn't acting up. To her relief and happiness, her phone worked. She texted Abby with: Just got a new phone that's not hacked! :) Now we don't have to worry about anything. Everyone knows about us now though, so set all of your social media accounts to private. Don't let all of their hate messages get to you either! <3 Prom was now only a day away and she was so excited. She had gotten a corsage for her date and had bought a really pretty black dress. Primrose busied herself and finally the day came. She got herself dressed up and got the corsage and decided to bring her phone so she could take photos. She put the phone in a little bag that matched her dress. The doorbell rang and she opened the door. Primrose uttered a little gasp at how beautiful Abby looked, with her purple dress and makeup. She could smell a slight perfume smell coming from Abby that smelled like lavender and chocolate. Primrose gave her the corsage and escorted Abby out to the limo that her parents had rented for prom. They got down to their high school and went into the gymnasium, where the dance was being held. The theme was Paris and the prom committee had certainly delivered. They had put up an Eiffel tower to take photos with and were serving croissants and baguette sandwiches. There was French music playing over the speakers and there was a purplish glow to the room. Abby and Primrose headed over to the Eiffel Tower and took some photos with their phones and went over to get some food. They danced side by side for a while, but when a slow dance came on, they slow danced together. Prom ended and Abby and Primrose felt as if it had gone quickly. Abby went to Primrose's house and they went up to Primrose's room. Primrose was looking at her camera roll, when she noticed that none of the photos from prom were there. She knew she had taken photos and had really wanted to remember her night with Abby. Primrose started crying and Abby rushed over and asked what had happened. Primrose was crying and explaining what had happened. Abby offered to send the photos she had taken over to Primrose. Primrose accepted the offer and went to the bathroom to clean up. She brought her phone with her and when she had closed the bathroom door, an evil laugh emitted from her phone. She nearly let out a scream of anger and annoyance, but had to hold it together for Abby. She didn't want to end the night on a bad note. Primrose cleaned herself up and exited the bathroom and sat down on her bed. Abby sat down next to her and looked at Primrose. Primrose faced Abby and cupped Abby's face and leaned in. Abby leaned in and they kissed. Primrose sat back and looked into Abby's eyes before kissing Abby again. They heard someone coming up the stairs and quickly stopped kissing. Primrose decided that her phone being possessed or whatever was wrong with it, didn't matter as long as she had Abby.
