Another Same Sex Attraction

Friday 2 p.m

“Just say it”, you silently reminded yourself. You knew you’d regret it if you didn’t. 

She was looking at you with those big brown eyes that you always felt so hard to resist since you were kids. Remember those times when you two were best friends when you were like 5 years old, and now you’ve grown up and you fought with each other at school? How did that happen in the first place? She became one of the queen bees of High School, and since then poor you have been bullied by her. And yet, after everything she has said to you, you still can’t stop thinking about it. Which is why, now that we were fighting so close to each other, and her face was closer to yours than ever before, this was the right time to say it. 

“I like you” you said while looking into her eyes. So beautiful, you could dive into them, although now that you blurted out how you felt, you got more scared. 

After 3 seconds, she pulls you closer into her and she kisses your softly lips with passion, against the wall of the women’s changing room. 

You pulled away out of shock.

“I thought you said you like me” Kaylee said to you, while kissing you again. 

“I do, but I’m confused of what’s happ-” you tried to say, but before you finish your words, she puts her finger against your mouth, so that you stop talking and then she kissed you again. 

You made out for about 10 minutes and then when she stopped, she got her things and left right away. 

“That was so weird” you thought to yourself” while getting out of the changing room. 

10 p.m 

• Hey, so what happened today at school? 
• What do you mean?
• I told you I liked you, you kissed me and then walked away?
• Yeah...sorry
• Sorry?
• Yeah, I’m just not really sure how I’m feeling, that’s why I left, cause I got confused
• So you like me?
• I don’t know
• ……
• What do you want me to say?
• Nothing….just forget about it

Monday 

You were crying all day and night in the weekend, because you didn’t know what was going to happen. You felt embarrassed for saying those words on Friday. 

After all the classes, you hadn’t notice Kaylee anywhere, and you really wondered where could she be on a school day. 

You walk outside of the school gates, and all of a sudden there’s a huge stage outside. Everyone gathered around to see what it was. 

Suddenly Kaylee popped up on the stage from behind it, while having a microphone in her hands and looking at you. 

You started to tremble so much, because you didn’t know what was happening. 

Kaylee started singing a love song she had wrote herself and the lyrics went like:

“Are you real? Are you fake? Do you exist in my life? I’m going to bed and you’re the last thing in my head. I’m waking up next morning, still I see you in there. My mind so confused, wishing it was more than that. Wishing it could be more simple, wishing you could be with me. We can talk for hours straight, till we pass out on the bed. We can watch TV together and laugh with all of them up there. We could hug each other daily, warming up each others’ hearts. Wishing you were here with me, so that I could hold your hand…” 

The whole time she was singing, her look was only at you, and you froze because you didn’t know what to do, how to move, you were suddenly like a sculpture. 

When Kaylee finishes the song, she gets the microphone and say

“ Lydia, I’m so sorry for bullying you these past 2 years. We were best friends before, sharing everything together, being everywhere together, we did so many great things. Then one thing led to another, and then I became popular at school. I thought it was an amazing feeling, and I didn’t want to let it go, but my friends didn’t like you, so I had to make this sacrifice to be at the top. I realize now what a big mistake I made, because I missed you. And not only that, I also like you as well..” she said and stopped for a bit while everyone was looking at both of us. All eyes on us. 

Then she continued :

“I don’t regret kissing you, and I’m sorry for running away. I want to be with you, and I hope you can forgive all the other actions I made, to make you feel bad. I hope you can forgive me for telling the whole school some of your secrets. I hope you can forgive me for being a dick to you. I love you, I always did and I always will. So without wanting to say something more, I have one question for you today.” she stopped and looked at you for a while and then moved on: 

“Lydia, do you want to be my girlfriend?” she asked you in front of the whole school. 

You raised your thumbnail as to saying ‘yes’ and everyone cheered. 

Kaylee got off the stage, came up to her, and kissed her passionately, without caring for anyone around. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of her life, and she will remember them forever.

Kaylee had invited her to her house for dinner, so she accepted it. Her parents were going out for a date, so they spent all the afternoon and all the night together, they ate pizzas and they danced to the music. Then at the end, they watched a romantic movie, while Kaylee held her in her arms and Lydia felt warmer already.

Suddenly as they started making out, things got heat up and as one thing led to another, they were in Kaylee's bedroom and had the best night of their lives, as it was the first one.

And that's how my beautiful grand child I met your mother.
