Dreams are a doorway to unlocking the deepest, darkest parts of our minds. Dreams can unlock memories you never knew existed. Dreams can also terrify you. Dreams can show you the person you are.
For me my dreams are just dreams. I don't know what they mean. I don't know what my dreams are telling me. Every night I dream of a stranger in a strange place.
I never seen this person and I certainly never been to this place I dream of. On top of all this I don't know who I am. I tried to remember my name but I can't.
It's so hard to wake-up every day knowing I only have half of me and the other half is empty. I see people every day. I say hi to them but I don't know who they are.
I am called Lucy which means light. The people in my community here on Titan (one of Saturn's moons) gave me the name Lucy when I first appeared. They took me in, took care of me and treated me with kindness.
The people never judged me because of my memory loss. They encouraged me to keep trying to remember. I tried but nothing is working.
The rings of Saturn look beautiful. Being on the observation deck is my all-time favorite thing to do. It gives me peace and lets me thing about the stranger in my dreams and the strange place.
There are times I feel like I'm being watched but it's always me here alone. I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of the people around me. I'm scared of my shadow. I'm scared of being alone. I'm scared of falling asleep. I'm scared of never remembering who I am.
The stranger in my dreams dominates my mind every single day. I sit down on the floor watching the rings of Saturn and close my eyes. I see the stranger once again. The stranger's face is not clear.
Sun, mountains, blue skies, flowers and trees. What is this place? It looks beautiful. The stranger comes back. Who are you?
I open my eyes. That was the most vivid dream I had. What is it telling me? I get up from the floor and head back to my community.
I reach the door of my room. I find a paper on the floor. I look around but no one is out. I unfold the paper and read it. "Go to where your dreams are telling you to go. You will find the answers you are seeking."
I enter my room and turn on the light. I don't understand what I just read. I don't know where this place in dreams is or even if it exist. I just don't know what to do.
My head is pounding. My eyes are heavy. I go to my bed and lie down. I close my eyes. The stranger comes back. I can see the strangers face better now.
Long brown hair blowing in the breeze. Hazel eyes that are warming and loving. Her smile is big and beautiful. Who is she?
I again see mountains, the sun, blue skies, flowers and trees. I never been to that place before. I wake-up. My heart is pounding. My body is sweaty. I hear a knock on my door.
I get up from my bed and walk to the door. I slowly open the door. I see no one there. I look around then I look down. Another folded paper is on the ground.
I pick up the paper and unfolded it. I read what it says. "Earth." I turn the paper back and forth but there is no other writing. Only the word Earth.
I close the door and run inside. I take out my StarLink and look-up Earth. I find tons of information about Earth including blue skies, mountains and everything else that was in my dreams.
Earth is the place in my dreams. I found the place in my dreams or rather someone has found it for me. In my excitement I forgot one thing. I don't know where on Earth I need to go.
I'm still tired. I go to my bed and lie down. I close my eyes and dream about the woman and the beautiful but strange place. In my dreams I see a lake. The lake is beautiful.
In the distance I notice a sign. I get closer. It reads Pine Meadow Lake. I wake-up in an instant. Could this be the place I need to go too? I'm conflicted. I begin to pace my room. All the signs are pointing me to go and see what I can learn.
I begin to pack but something is bothering me. I don't know who I am and yet I'm traveling to a place I never been too to find and possibly meet a woman I have only seen in my dreams. What if it's not safe to go?
What if I'm setting myself up for a huge disappointment? So many things are running through my head. What do I do?
I look at myself in the mirror. I tell myself. You can do this. I begin to pack once again. I'm all packed. I grab my StarLink and buy a ticket on the ship Apollo leaving in one hour.
I grab my bags shut off all the lights, walk out of my room and close the door. I quietly walk to the departure station. First, I turn around and whisper a thank you to the community that took me in and took care of me.
I turn back around and continue on my way. I stop by the observation deck one more time. Goodbye rings of Saturn. I hope to see you again one day.
I made it to the departure station. There are a lot of people here. I get online. I can't say I'm not nervous. I show my boarding pass. I'm allow to enter the Apollo.
In a matter of minutes, the Apollo is filled to capacity. The Apollo is ready to go. I hear the engines coming to life. 3,2,1, the Apollo takes off. I hold on tight,
The Apollo is going fast. In seconds the Apollo is in orbit around Titan. "Ready 3,2,1, the Apollo is off to Earth." The captain says.
The Apollo just passed Jupiter. The biggest planet in the solar system. Jupiter is an amazing planet. I keep thinking about what I'm going to find when I reach Earth.
I close my eyes and dream about the woman again. Bit something is wrong. She's not happy like in my other dreams. She's scared which is making me scared. I wake-up. I look out the window. The Apollo is passing Mars.
I'm getting a strange feeling from Mars. I can't pin-point what it is. I know it's not good. I take a drink of my water and take a deep breath in and out.
We are almost to Earth. The Apollo begins to accelerated. This is crazy. In minutes the Apollo is in Earth's orbit. I can't believe I'm here. From up here Earth looks beautiful.
This new place. This new world is big, bigger than Titan. The Apollo begins to descend. I hold on tight. Seconds later the Apollo lands. The doors open. Me and every other passenger leave the Apollo.
I get my first look at Earth. It's everything my dreams said it would be. Earth is very beautiful. I look-up Pine Meadow Lake on my StarLink. I need to go to Rock-land County, New York.
I check my StarLink again. I have to buy a ticket and get on something call a bus. Thank God the currency is the same. I got my ticket. Bus 21 is where I need to go. I found bus 21.
I get on the bus and take a seat by the window. The bus filling up. Now the bus begins to move.
There are so many trees and people even creatures I don't recognize. I don't know what half the things I'm seeing are. What are all these things? This is so cool. I like what I'm seeing.
All throughout the ride to Pine Meadow Lake, I see all the beautiful things Titan doesn't have. Hours later the bus stops. This is my stop.
I get off the bus. I don't recognize anything. Why would I recognize anything. This is my first time on Earth. I only see the things I saw in my dreams. I focus on that. I'm coming up to the lake.
There it is. Pine Meadow Lake as I remember from my dreams. I get close to the water and I sit on the ground. There are so many people here.
I close my eyes and once again I see the strange woman. The sun feels so good on my skin. I open my eyes and see a shadow looming over me.
I jump up. It's the woman from my dreams. She's so beautiful. She extends her hand to me. For some reason I feel safe with this stranger.
"I've been waiting for you." I take her hand and walk with her to an unknown place.

Wonderful flowing story full of creativity and imagination! The dream concept drawing the character forward is ethereal and mysterious. Skillfully written with the first person narrative inviting the reader into the character's world. Well done and unique.
