Crime Drama Fiction

I was just walking down the street, minding my own business, when somewhere above me I heard what sounded like two people arguing. I thought nothing of it at first, just your typical couple that argues sometimes, but it wouldn't go away and it just kept getting louder. So, I looked up to see where it was coming from and what was happening. I noticed a man and a woman struggling on the balcony of an apartment. I just stood there, not really knowing why. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but I just couldn't draw my attention away from them. Then, it looked like things got out of control, and the next thing I knew the woman was falling after being pushed from the edge of the balcony. She landed on the roof of a car and the car alarm started blaring uncontrollably. I just stood there, not sure what to do, and honestly, not believing what my eyes had just seen. Then, my instincts kicked in and I ran to the car to see if she was okay. I got to the car and there was no sound other than the sound of crunching glass beneath me. I thought that maybe she'd be screaming or moaning in pain, but there was nothing. Then, a man who sounded very angry came rushing out of the lobby of the apartment complex. "What do you think you're doing son?" I had no clue why he was yelling at me when someone just pushed a woman over a balcony 8 stories up. "Sir, a woman just fell on your car!" I shouted. "Nonsense son, I saw you break my windows!" I looked down at my hands which were covered in blood. I didn't really think much of it, I was just very confused as to what the man was talking about. "Sir, come look at the roof of your car!" He ran over and looked at the roof. He had a puzzled look on his face, and he quickly grew much angrier. "What am I supposed to be looking at? My sunroof you shattered? Because that's all I see!" I looked at the roof of the car, insanely confused as to what he was talking about. I couldn't believe my eyes. The woman wasn't there! It was like she disappeared into thin air. I looked up at the balcony from which she fell, and there was the man. He smiled at me and walked back into his room, closing his door behind him. There wasn't blood, there wasn't any body-sized indent of where a body should have been, there wasn't anything. It was like nothing had ever happened. "I'm calling the cops!" he yelled in my face. I just stood there, not even able to comprehend what I had just witnessed. I had witnessed a murder, a nonexistent murder.
