Mr. George and his Flowers

It was late October when Mr. George brought some Lily bulbs from a man who was unable to grow them. He was very delighted to plant them. "Welcome to the George mansion babies", George said to the bulbs as he planted it in a flower pot. " Welcome to our family, baby bulbs.", every other plant in Mr. George's nursery said to the new members.

George lived in his house alone after his wife's death. They didn't have any child as well. So after two years of his wife's death he thought to start a family with plants. He owns a huge nursery at his mansion. He has got almost all variety of plants at his nursery. But he did not have Lilies. And he was very fond of its beauty. So this time he bought those Lily bulbs. 

"Oh! I am feeling so hungry", said one Lily bulb on a fine morning. " Even I am hungry and thirsty", said another. "Where is dad? ". In the mean time Mr. George came with a packet of potassium in his hands and a watering can. All the plants were glad to see him. They rejoiced each and every drop of the water when Mr. George sprinkled it upon them. All the plants gossip with one another just like human beings. And they love it even more when George talks to them. They love listening to his stories anf his love story with Mrs. George. George shares his every little secret with his plant babies. Whenever he is upset he talks with his plants, whenever he is happy he shares his happiness with them. George loved his plant babies a lot. Even the plants loved their father. 

Soon the plants grew bigger and it was late winter. "Oh! What a beautiful day it is today! The sun is so bright", said the Adenium. "Good morning beauties! You guys talk. I shall sleep now. It's my sleeping time. Today I am too tired. The night was a little longer today compared to the usual days.", said the Hasna Hena, the night blooming Jasmine. The one that blossoms in every season. Her fragrance is loved by everyone. And all the plants can have sound sleep for her immensely beautiful scent. In the mean time a voice was heard, "Hello beautiful plants", the voice greeted Mr. George's plants. "Oh! Who's voice is this?", one of the Lily plants asked. All of the Lily plants were new were stunned hearing the voice. "It's our grandma's voice Lilies", said one of the Petunias, "she is the mother of all flora and fauna, she is the Mother Nature." The Lilies were astonished to know about her as earlier they did not grow this big and died early. So they never heard her.

"So its again that time of the year when you all will grow into beautiful flowers and rejuvenate the surroundings with your beauty, fragrance and freshness. It is all because of your father Mr. George's hardwork and dedication for you all and even your enthusiasm that you have made it till here. Many plants like you cannot even come this far but I am proud of you guys that you all have come a very long way and therefore I would like to congratulate each of you for that and I wish you all a very good luck. Bloom in the most blissful manner. Happy Spring season.", said Mother Nature in the most lovable way. Everyone was happy to hear it. They discussed about it. They were excited as well. The lilies were even more enthusiastic because it was their first time. They were a little scared though. " What if we couldn't bloom? " asked one of the Lilies. "I really don't know dear. I am nervous as well.", replied the other Lily. "Do not be scared you beautiful Lilies. Even if you do not blossom, dad is not going to be upset with you. Infact he will try more better ways to make you flourish.", said the oldest flower, pretty Rose. 

And finally it was spring and all the plants grew into mature flowers. Mr. George was mesmerized by their beauty. But there was a plant that did not bloom. It was one of the Lilies. Mr. George was really upset. "Where did I went wrong! Why didn't my Lily blossom!", he thought to himself. Later he brought a little potash and calcium and added near the roots of the Lily that did not bloom and watered her. "What happened Lily dear, why aren't you blooming?", asked one of the Jasmines out of concern. "I am trying hard, but I am a little weak. I am trying to consume the food that dad gave me.", Lily answered in a depressed tone. "Do not be upset Lily you will flourish the most. Be strong. And eat the food that father gave you.", the Hibiscus cheered her up. The next day also that Lily did not blossom. But two days later a patel could be seen. Mr. George was now hopeful about his Lily and he watered her again. The next morning when Mr. George came to his garden he could see all the Lilies bloomming. He was more than happy to see his colourful garden. The one that did not blossom at first was the most graceful one out of all. It was a multicolored Asiatic Lily. George was very happy to see his flowers blooming. Red, yellow and white Asiatic Lilies were also blossoming. He was more amazed to see the Lilies as it was his first time upbringing them. He also clicked many pictures of his babies. He spent the entire day at his garden. Adoring and admiring them. The nearby birds also chirped and danced out of happiness. It was like festival for Mr. George, his plants and the nearby birds. 

"After this season we all are going to die, right? ", asked one of the Lilies the next morning. Replying to her one of the Gerberas said, "Yes Lily we are all going to die after this season. Someone earlier than the other. It's a way of life dear." "Oh! I'm gonna miss you all so much.", one of the Lilies said in a quivering voice. "Don't you worry Lily, our dad Mr. George is a sweet human. He will replant you just like he replanted all of us. And you shall grow into a beautiful flower once again in the next spring season", said the Gerbera, "till then enjoy this spring season. Happy Spring. And don't forget our Mother Nature told us to bloom in the most blissful manner."
