Don't you Love Being in a Photograph

Written in response to: "Start your story with someone discovering a photograph that has something written on the back."

Mystery

Beep Beep

Beep Beep

Beep Be--

My hand pulses with pain and becomes red after slamming my hand down onto the clock. I slowly sit up in bed and look at my half-empty room. It has clothes laying on the floor and at least a dozen boxes that still need to be packed. slowly I slip out of bed and walk down to the kitchen. On the fridge there is a note, it reads.

Good morning,

I'm going to be home late tonight.

There are still a few things in the attic, could you

please go through the things and pack up what we want to keep.

There is Pizza in the fridge.

Love, Mom

Yawning I skim over the letter and open the fridge. It is full of Chinese takeout from the other night and an assortment of junk no one wants to eat. I go for the milk and pick it up. I grab the cereal from the cabinet and set it on the table. I slowly walk over to the piles of boxes and look through them to find a bowl, but I can't find a spoon, so I grab the plastic bag that comes with takeout and walk back to the table. Sitting down I pour my cereal and open the milk. Then I go to pour the milk... And there is nothing, nothing but a small drip. I pound my head down on the table and instantly my head starts to pound. Guess this is a sign to not eat breakfast. I know they always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I only eat it like, once a month. So Instead of eating, I go up to the attic so I can do what mom told me to do. If I finish this then I can just go and play video games all day. The attic is normally hard to get into but because we are in and out of there, the only struggle I have is walking up the ladder. I swear that they make these things impossible to get into. Looking around it looks like she already cleared out most of the boxers. But there are still three boxes. The first one only has old shirts that look like they are from when my mom was in high school. I look through them and the only one that is cool is a black one that has lips on them, I think it is from the band Kiss or something. The other one is stuff I shoved up here when I was 10 or something. But the last one doesn't look like the other boxes. It is smaller and has more of a yellow color to it, it is definitely not ours and has not been touched in at least 20 years. I open it and out spills hundreds of pictures. They are all an older-looking man and woman. They look to be in their mid 80's, but all the pictures are black and white. So there must be at least 40 or 50 years old. I look through all of them because I have nothing better to do, and they all look to be photos from when they went on vacation. There are a few more in the box that all look the same but the one at the very bottom is different. It is colored but the color is weathered. The person in the photo is very different too, it is a girl in white clothes and she has brown hair, it is long and looks like she has not had a good haircut in years, I flip the photo over and on the back it says.

THE BOX

I look at the box and it seems normal, except the box looks bigger on the outside than the inside. I turn the box over and out comes a fake bottom and along with it a Gun.

I jump back-started by the sudden murder mystery vibe I was getting. And almost instantly, Like I was in a movie, I hear a loud bang. Like a gunshot bang. I hear a man yelling from downstairs and a woman screaming. I shake my head and it instantly stops. Then a girl's voice, soft and scared.

"Daddy, what's wrong." I spin around, and there's the girl from the photo standing in front of me.

"Your not daddy!" Her face turns angry and looks deadly. She starts sprinting towards me, Screaming so loud that my head began to ring. She runs.. Right through me. Although she seems to not be affected, It feels like a train ran through me. I fall over in pain, but quickly forget, when I see that the gun is gone. I look at where the girl has gone and she is standing in front of a man. He is tall and slim, in his mid 30s. He has a gun to her head. And instead of screaming and crying, she looks down in silence. Then the man lets out a blood-curdling scream. he starts to bleed from the mouth and then falls over. The girl walks away towards the exit. but stops by my feet. She slowly turns toward me and says.

"Nighty night."

Then Black.

I sit up, Sweat dripping down my for-head and back. I am breathing deep, my ears are ringing. I look around, I am in my room. The clock reads 3:45 at night. I step out of bed, stepping carefully so I don't move my head. That's when I realize my head hurts, hurts so bad that I could have thought I got shot. I walk down the stairs to the kitchen, where I see my mom writing a note. I start to walk into the kuchen when a cold wind flows over my face. I stumbled backwards and hit my head on the stairs. I scream in agony as I feel the blood pooling around me, my mom rushes to my side and calls 911. But that is all I remember. The next thing I remember is being in a hospital, the lights bright only making my headache worse. They talk to me knowing I am awake, Telling me I will be ok and it is good...I called 911, but My mom called 911? But then again, the pain comes back, and I close my eyes again. Now the last Time I opened my eyes, They talked to me again, telling me I suffered from CO2 poisoning and Fell over and hit my head. They ask me questions, telling me it is so that I will stay awake. They ask me if I have any family members, and I try to explain to them that my mom called 911. But NO they say, It is because of CO2 poisoning.

Now, if you have read to the end I thank you. You need to help me. I am in a attik right now, my hair has not been cut in months and I am in a whight outfit. It also smells of old vinyl. Please help me and set me free, so you can be just like me.
