Fiction Friendship Horror

As she stood in the dark corridor of the school, she looked at her best friend's bright blond hair in the sunlight. 'She looks heavenly' she thought, too beautiful to be human, a piece of art that shouldn't be touched. She felt the pang of envy coursing through her veins and pain pierced through her heart as she saw from the corner of her eye her long-term crush smiling at her best friend. The envy soon turned into burning hatred, why can't she be the one that has good looks, why can't she be the one that everyone envied? Instead, she had to play second fiddle to her best friend. Friend? Can she even still call her that? She made her hand into a fist and clutched it toward her heart, tears threatening to fall as she lifted her eyes at the moment was her crush and her best friend settled for a kiss. Her eyes widened in shock, tears streamed out of her eyes as she watched them. No, she couldn't call her friend after this, her best friend has betrayed her. 'She knew' she thought as she ran from the corridor where she was at. 'she knew I had a crush on him, but she didn't care.' The girl ran as fast as she could, she shot the entrance doors open and ran into the forest that was behind the school. The forest is rumored to be a place that had some dark entity living in it as the forest spread on for miles. But the rumor was usually dismissed as an excuse so that students can do and drink or do some other unlawful things. She ran until her legs gave out and she started sobbing, huddling onto a tree of dear life. As she wept unknowing that a dark figure was watching her in the shadows of the trees as the sun was starting to set. As her last tears left her body she heard a twig snap, she jolted up and saw the shadowy figure approach her. Panicked and afraid she started to run but tripped when her foot got tugged on a tree root, she looked back and saw the figure closer. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" she begged as she tried to crawl away. As the figure came closer, she had a better look at the figure, it was a tall slim man, with brown hair, and unnatural red eyes. He looked the same age as her, but she knew that he didn't go to her school since all the people at her school made fun of her because of her weight and appearance. "W- what d-do you need?" she stammered, looking at him with fearful eyes. He chuckled, "I'm here to help." Her eyes widened "help?" she asked fearfully. "Yes, help" He responded as he knelt down to face her, "W-with what?" She asked confused, why would a stranger offer to help her? They don't even know each other! "With your problem" he responds motioning with his hands to her tear-stained face and wet clothes. "I don't have a problem, so please leave me alone" She stated as she looked away, "you are lying, why else would you be crying?" he said as he took a seat next to her. She scooted away from him, "Why do you care?" she spits at him. He sighed "Because I understand your grief, I once had my heart broken too" "Wait... How do you know?" She responded puzzled and shocked. He chuckled again "I saw you watching them, and sensed your grief and now..." He stood up and lend her his hand "here I am" She hesitated "What do you want from me?" She asked looking at his red ruby eyes, "Nothing, I just want to help you get revenge on your 'friend'" he replied and emphasized the word friends, "She's not my friend" she snapped "well, not anymore" she whispered, hurt from the betrayal still lingering. But he heard it and smirked "I have a plan if you are willing to listen" He suggested to the scared girl, "What is it?" she said a little intrigued and leaned closer to him. The man pulled out a small box from his pocket and handed it to her, she took the box from him and open it. She gasped and closed the box "I can't do that, I'm not a murderer!" she exclaimed pushing the box toward him. He laughed "I thought you wanted your revenge on her, but I guess I was wrong." He reached in the box and took out a sharp silver dagger, "Yes but a different way! Sorry but no, I decline your offer to help." She said as she stood up and started to walk away from him. "Wasn't your dream to have that guy?" He prompted as she started to walk away, now she has stopped and listened to him " To not be cast to the side but to have the spotlight?" He said as he walked to her and whispered to her ear "To be pretty?" She stood rigid processing what he said. "But I'm not a murder, I can't kill" she replied back as her body shook "Who said you had to kill?" He said as he smiled, he pulled the dagger to his face and motioned "What would happen if something happened to her snow-white face? or her blond white hair? What if an 'accident' happened and left her with scars?" he prompted. " I... Can't..." She said trying to process his ideas "It would be wrong!" She exclaimed to him. "But she took away the guy you loved! Wasn't what she did, wrong? She doesn't care about you, and look at you, you are still protecting her. Do you want to get revenge or not? My offer is ending shortly, now give me an answer. Is it going to be a yes or a no?" He said as he extended his hand to her to shake it. "Now do we have a deal?"
