How do rumors get started?
Started by the jealous people
And.
They get mad seeing something they had and somebody else is hold inâ.
A long stem of this đ·or a long stem of that?đčđ„
A hard fact: Some people never grow up. Never mature, like a fine wine. Like beautiful flowers.đ
Stunted.
Prevented. From. Growing.
The wrath of grapes.
Not to be confused with a classic âThe grapes of wrathâ a classical story written by John Steinbeck. Considered a ârealistâ novel the story centers around a poor family of tenant farmers driven from their home by drought, economic hardship, agricultural industry changes, and bank foreclosures.
History can have a way of repeating itself.
Among other noteworthy quotes from the story is âHow can you frighten a man whose hunger is not only in his own stomach but in the wretched bellies of his children? You canât scare himâhe has known a fear beyond every other.â
Fear. And exploitation. Of fear. Insidious. The Promised Land and all that kinda stuff. How many hours must one clock on the treadmill?
Sometimes the duties of friendship competeâ with other obligations and affections.
With other obligations and affections.
How do rumors get started and take on a life of their own?
Ask Jonathan and David.
In the first book of Samuel in the Bibleâ and whether you believe in a spiritual being or notâthe story is worth a note. Jonathan was the eldest son and heir of King Saul of Israel. he was also Davidâs sworn friend. After David killed Goliath, Saul grew jealous of his popularity, and fearing he would eventually become king, sought to murder him. Jonathanâs defense of David, made doubly painful because of his own claim to the throne, is one of the greatest examples of loyalty in friendship.
Maybe.
It depends.
On circumstances, situations, what is going on.
The human condition usually is. Complicated.
Man.
Woman.
Woman.
Man.
As age old as wisdom and time is, there is always and often to be a battle of the sexes.
After all.A cat fight is a cat fight.
As the story of Jonathan and David continues:
After David had slain the giant he was brought before King Saul, still holding the giantâs head. king Saul did not remember in this bold fighting man the boy who a few years before had played in his presence. he took him into his own house, and made him an officer among his soldiers. David was as wise and as brave in the army as he had been when facing the giant, and very soon he was in command of a thousand men. All the men loved him, both in Saulâs court and in his camp, for David had the spirit that drew all hearts toward him.
When David was returning from his battle with the Philistines, the women of Israel came to meet him out of the cities, with instruments of music, singing and dancing, and they sang:
(Leave the division to the women at timesâŠâŠ?âŠâŠ) one may wonder, one may not wonder. A cat fight is a cat fight.
The women displayed through various means: âSaul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands.â
This made Saul very angry, for he was jealous and suspicious in his spirit. He thought constantly of Samuelâs words, that God would take the kingdom from him and would give it to one who was more worthy of it. His former feeling of unhappiness again came over Saul. He raved in his house, talking as a man talks who is crazed.
In Saulâs madness, he now would not listen to Davidâs voice. He had a wrath of his own madness and he now regarded him through jealousy and his own madness as not a strong and worthy soldier. But a nemesis. Over time, circumstances and experiences, some negative, strength bending and testing. Insidious madness testing stuff.
Through trials and tribulations David came to know Saul as the bitter enemy and would kill him if he could as soon as his madness came upon him. David went into hiding from the hate of King Saul.
How things can change. How times can change things. How people and stories that take on a life of their own can get inside a personâs head and make a noise so disturbingly loud and cumbersome. And most sincerely and honestly direct a path.
Some persons want to just be heard.
Some person do not know how to be heard.
You can do anything you put your mind to. You can!
And if you feel as if you are too tired, non plussed or simply scared. Remember Mr. Guestâs advice. Possible the best medical advice around:
Canât is the worst word thatâs written or spoken;
Doing more harm here than slander and lies;
On it is many a strong spirit broken,
And with it many a good purpose dies.
It springs from the lips of the thoughtless each morning
And robs us of courage we need through the day:
It rings in our ears like a timely sent warning
And laughs when we falter and fall by the way.
Canât is the father of feeble endeavor,
The parent of terror and halfhearted work;
It weakens the efforts of artisans clever,
And makes of the toiler and indolent shirk.
It poisons the soul of the man with a vision,
It stifles in infancy many a plan;
It greets honest toiling with open derision
And mocks at the hopes and dreams of a man.
Canât is a word none should speak without blushing;
To utter it should be a symbol of shame;
Ambition and courage it daily is crushing;
It blights a manâs purpose and shortens his aim.
Despite it with all of your hatred of error;
Refuse it the lodge it seeks in your brain;
And against it as a creature of terror,
And all that you dream of you someday will gain.
Canât is the word that is foe to ambition,
An enemy ambushed to shatter your will;
Its prey is forever a man with a mission
And bows but to courage and patience and skill.
Hate it, with hatred thatâs deep and undying,
For once it is welcomed âtwill break any man;
Whatever the goal you are seeking, keep trying
And answer this demon by saying: âI can.â
