After being told the unfortunate news, the Traveler takes a moment to write a letter to his deceased loved one. (Dubbedly known as his Firefly of Guidance.) He writes on a long sheet of fine paper with some neverending ink pen on the Endless Hallway floor. Once the Traveler finished writing the letter, he read out loud to his Heavenly Lover, hoping she would hear:
"To My Dearly Beloved,
I'm so sorry that you are receiving this letter as of late but I figure I needed some closure somehow. I know that this letter won't get to my original lover (my Firefly of Guidance) but I can at least dream she is reading or hearing this from where she is.
Right now, I'm currently at a marvelous place called the Endless Hallway. I don't remember how I got here, other than getting lost in the woods close by the house. Looks like I completely forgot my personal belongings once again. I can already hear you now about how forgetful I can be. Well, I guess I won't be needing them any time soon. Especially considering I now have a higher purpose.
During this unexpected visit, I have come across plenty of doors to other worlds that are quite different from ours. I even got to meet the host of this establishment who turns out to be the Lord O'Mighty Himself. Yep, that one exactly. In this realm, He goes by Rabintron and He's a giant humariod snow bunny. His fur is white as snow and his red compared to freshly ripe apples. Rabintron has been a kind host, even though being strict at times but only for my best interest at heart value.
Can you believe that I met a god deity!? And not just any god, the God Himself! Yes, our Lord we have been following for long long throughout generations upon generations just so happens to be a space bunny! He's simply gorgeous and fluffy anytime He comes to me, not to mention, a bit intimidating. I know He looks like a snow bunny, but He's ten feet tall and would often be stern through his words alone.
When He told me you were gone (at least in our universe) after I left, I was completely devastated. In fact, I'm still am. Thus why I am writing this to you. From what Rabintron had told me, it was a painless death. I have asked Rabintron if I could visit you in Heaven, but He said no considering it's not for mortals. And if a mortal were to look upon the Heavens, their eyes would melt from their faces.
Now, you're probably wondering why I said our universe, well as I previously mentioned, I'm in a place where all places are in one place. I don't know how long I have been in here but from what Rabintron had told me, it's been quite awhile. Apparently time moves pretty quick here in the Endless Hallway from what I have been gathering. However, anytime I give Rabintron the exact amount of time I have been gone, He will always dismiss it and will never give me a straight answer. When asked why, He would always answer that it would overwhelm me emotionally and mentally.
Rabintron has dubbed me the Traveler. Not only that, but He made me invincible. So I can take a hit! I have been sent to numerous of places. You can hardly imagine all these different places all in one place! One time, I encountered a super powered otter, and the next: I'm whisk away out to the high seas with a band of ruthless pirates (thankfully they didn't notice me and I escaped in time). I could go on and on but we'll be here all day. However, my favorite place so far would have to be the same woods I always get lost in to find those fireflies. I happen to always look up to those little critters hoping to find one with a purple glow, which always reminded me of you, to guide me back home. Just the thought of it now gets me homesick and oftentimes makes me feel hollow.
However, I must continue to move forward for the Traveler after all. The First Hallway Monitor. I must mask sure that the Endless Hallway is safe from anyone who seeks chaos and corruption. This is my solemn oath and Rabintron has been a good enough host that I can't really complain too much. Except my current heartbreak state.
You must think I have met a lot of people. Truth is I really can't. Cause if I do so, it will mess up the timeline. I mean there was this one time I met this young brave girl in a strange sci-fi world before getting whisked away. This happened before meeting Rabintron and He told me this golden rule. He told me that as long as I don't mention my real name and true purpose, all will be okay. So I have to give people a fake name and try to blend in from these different environments.
Within this many doors, there will also be alternate timelines. While there will be variants out there in these unlimited worlds, such as you and me, there's only one Rabintron. He assured me of that when being asked.
I should also mention that I made a vow to protect Rabintron and the Doorknob of Conquest that resides in Him. You are probably wondering what's a Doorknob of Conquest. You see, it's this magical and holy artifact that can reset and reshape everything as we know it. If it falls into the wrong hands, there can only be chaos and corruption for all eternity. Pretty big stuff, right!? So yeah, you can say my job currently is very much important, especially since it's concerning everyone and everything.
Still can't believe I lost myself in the woods only to find myself in this magical and mysterious realm. It's quite fascinating and I'm positive you'll love it here. I just wish you were here with me to experience this.
The bad thing about writing this type of letter is that it's only one trip. Which can only mean that I will never know how you feel about all of this from what I just told you word for word. Would you be happy, angry, or both? Is there a possible chance you would accept my fate or completely deny it? I can never tell, especially considering you are gone from this world and the next.
I have asked Rabintron if I can send this letter directly to you in Heaven, but He completely forbids it and never gave me a straight answer. Go figure. So instead I'm only writing this so you can at least hear from where you are. Just before I toss this letter in a fiery volcano I just found.
If another version of you do happen to stumble across this sort of letter, please don't worry about little old me. I accept my fate as the Traveler. Just know there will always be a Jasper or at least someone out there who will love you for you. This letter was just to get myself some closure
I love you my Colleen Phoenix. Love always: Jasper Founté"
And like that Jasper the Traveler finished his proofreading to his deceased Colleen by the letter. He next proceeds to head to the door towards his left where he was teleported in a stuffy cave. The Traveler walks through the cave and finds a volcano nearby. He then walks up the path to the volcano, eventually getting to the top. Once he was up there, he folded the letter into a paper airplane and flew it into the volcano. As the letter exclines, the Traveler went back to the Endless Hallway.
Meanwhile, as the letter drew closer to the lava about to set fire. A hand reached out to grab such a letter. This hand had a charcoal hand which belonged to a lava spirit. The spirit's entire body was covered in lava and flames. It only extinguishes its arm when reaching out for the letter. Once the letter was safely in its grasp, it outextends its other arm, also extinguishing it, in order to read the letter. This spirit was a literate and once it read that this letter was made out to Colleen Phoenix, the spirit felt a need to go search for such a person. Also no one litters in their volcano.
