A husband and a wife had just recently moved from a big city called Fair Fort to a small town named West Creek Hill. At first, the couple had decided to move there because of the agreement that it meets all their expectations. They had dreams of starting a little garden or a farm after moving there. They didn’t enjoy the big city life anymore. Too much pollution, so much noise, litter and garbage in every little corner that you can find, and much more reasons. They wanted a different scenery. A change of environment.

Therefore, they wanted to move to West Creek Hill. When they looked the place up on the web, they found out that it has rich agriculture there. This could help their dreams become a reality. The couple also had plans for taking care of some farm animals such as cows, sheep, chickens, horses, and some pigs. They were going to take care of all the animals with love. But they first had to build their house and build a small stable, or a home for all their animals to stay. They were also going to buy all the needed essentials.

Luckily, in the city, both had high paid jobs. That was the only thing which was a high point for them at the city. So, using all the money which they had earned there, both could contribute to it and make an approximate budget on how much everything was going to cost overall. Sounded like a good, solid plan for both to pursue their dreams and finally build their future. The couple was very excited about the move and wondered how drastic the big change would be for them. They didn’t worry too much about fitting in the farm lifestyle.

Both had packed their suitcase a week before their flight day. They made sure that all the essentials were there. Before 2 weeks, they had packed most of the supplies in their house which they didn’t use every day inside tightly duct taped boxes. The moving people were going to come soon to take all of those boxes and stack them inside their huge truck. It had taken a lot of time for them to make sure that all the boxes were tight and secured. But finally, they were ready to leave the city and welcome the new farm life.

Finally, it was the day, April 7th came way faster! The excited couple quickly took a glimpse at all the suitcases to make sure the correct amount of it were there.  Both helped another drag all the suitcases and put the larger ones in the trunk and a couple of the smaller ones on the back seat. They looked down to see the approximate time it would take them to reach the airport. The phone screen read: 50 minutes. It shouldn’t take them too long since they had left almost 2 and a half hours before their scheduled flight time.

…...........................................................................................................................

After 8 very long hours, they reached. Glancing down at their watches, they noticed the time was 7:00 pm. It was not bad, considering the flight reached almost 20-30 minutes earlier than their estimated time. Now, all they had to do was pick up their suitcases and ride for another 40-45 minutes. Then, they would finally reach their dream come true destination, West Creek Hills. Both slowly stood up from their seats and carefully walked until the unusual long line had finally came to an end. They made sure they took all of their belongings and slowly stepped outside.

The two finally found a rental car and drove for almost 30 minutes because there wasn’t that much traffic in their way which was a plus sign. It was a rural area, so you won’t generally spot too many cars and much traffic anywhere. Back in the city though, it was the complete opposite. Even dark outside you would find at least 200 cars back to back honking all the time in just one lane! Now, there also wouldn’t be too much noise pollution either because it is calm, peaceful, and quiet around these areas. There won’t be littering either.

Amazing. They had finally reached after the long 9 hours and 45 minutes (including the time it took them to drive to the airport)! They both decided to stay at the nearest inn they could find. It was very much like a little cottage or a small brick house. It was supposed to be a very famous lodge around the area, so they thought that they would be fine living here for a couple of days until they could finally start their plans. They thought everything was going fine. Ironically, now was the time that everything would start going down.

The woman spoke up, “ Wow, such a cute decorated little inn. I bet that we are going to be very comfy staying here. I am already starting to like this little town. It has everything we ever asked for and more. I think that settling here was the best decision we have ever made so far together, what your thoughts about West Creek Hill?” The woman looked at her husband with a curious expression on her face. The man didn’t know what to say about the little place. “ Well, it’s all right, I guess.” the man had replied.

“What do you mean, just all right? The weather here is amazing. So pleasant, yet chilly. The environment is great! No loud honking cars, or people yelling at each other in the middle of the night. Just peaceful winds, grasshopper chirps, and owl hoots.” the woman told the man. “Yes, I agree. But, look at this place. I don’t really like all this quiet. I mean yes, the city was loud, but it felt more alive. Here, there’s no sound. No music, no nothing. I think I can even here my breath.” the man argued to the woman. He sighed.

“I thought we had agreed on living here and achieving our goals. If one doesn’t like the place, then how will any of our dreams work? We need cooperation from both of us if we want to succeed. Let’s now go inside. Meet the people! By the looks of them, they look very friendly! It is getting dark outside and I am very hungry and tired because of the travel. Now don’t just keep on standing there! Come on, we will discuss this later. Oh, and also, make sure to close the trunk properly.” the woman warned the man.

“Fine.” the man replied coldly. “I don’t know how I got myself into this mess...” the man thought. After they came inside the comfy, and warm inn. “Hello and welcome to West Creek Inn! How may I help you today?” asked the tall and friendly lady. “Oh, we would like to book our rooms for 2 nights please.” replied the woman. “Of course! It would be my pleasure.” the tall lady replied.  After they got their assigned room number and the key, they walked up the stairs. “See, I told you! I am starting to love this place!” said the woman.

“ Well... back in the city, people were nice too! Also, not everyone here has to be good folks.” the man protested. “Why can’t you find the beauty of this place? Is it hard for you to just open your eyes? Don’t be so stubborn. Yes, I agree the city life was good, but try to find the beauty of this place. Don’t judge it so soon, it will just take a little time for you to understand what I’m talking about.” the woman replied softly. The man sighed heavily.
