This is the first time I've ever been out of my home country. As a young girl I had always wanted to travel the world but unfortunately my family could never afford it. Now that I'm financially secure and work as a college professor I have summers off so I can travel. As my first place that I had always wanted to visit I chose Thailand. My family is thai so I figured it could be a good idea to visit and be able to learn more about my culture.

Finding my plane and everything in the Phoenix airport was easier then I had expected. During the 23 hour flight I mainly watched movies and slept. By the time I got to Bangkok I was ready to fall asleep in my hotel so I called a cab and left immediately. I got to my hotel and it was more beautiful than any hotel I've seen in Phoenix. The city was amazing and my hotel room had a view of the busy Khaosan road filled with little shops and markets selling anything from clothes to food to pottery. After checking the room out I decided to eat then turn in as the sun was starting to set and I wanted to see as much as possible.

The next morning I woke up and had a lot of energy so I went for a quick morning jog to get used to my new surrounding. After I went to eat at the hotel restaurant and I was off. The first place I wanted to go visit was the grand palace because the pictures I've seen are absolutely stunning. My hotel wasn't too far from the palace so I went for a walk. When I got there I immediately got a headache. I didn't know what it was from and I don't usually get migraines so I just brushed it off. I entered and got another quick headache and had a huge feeling of deja vu. It was more intense that I had ever felt before and I didn't know what was happening. I got to the throne room and another head rush of deja vu met me and I blacked out.

I was experiencing the emperor sell his daughter away to one of his empires allies to keep the allegiance going. I focused on the girl being given to the other empire as she looked strangely familiar. She had the same body face and hair style and length as mine did. The scene ended and another popped up. It was in the princesses room when she grabbed a dagger from under her robe and whispered. "I hope I can love you in my next life my dear Suchin." She plunged the dagger into her heart and I felt bad for her as soon as it happened. Next all could be heard was the door open, a gasp and "Future queen Kasika is dead!"

I woke in the hospital and all I could think of were the names. My boyfriends name is Suchin and mine is Kasika just like those in the dream. But was it really a dream?
