Romance Teens & Young Adult Friendship

Staring face to face, my friend Kiise popped out his eyes wide. It was a same trick he used to scare toddlers and those new kids on the block. “Better get those eyes back to their sockets. Otherwise, they make you look awful.” I said as I held my pc sitting back on the couch. Slackly on the settee, I scrolled down watching pop ups and the news headlines. I was stunned when I finally opened a photo of a girl that turned me red. “Augh! What is up man?” Kiise expressed as he came closer to me. “What?” I spoke. “Why are you making your face so sweet like that? A girl?” Kiise asked as he lifted my pc onto his arms then he was like, “Ooh! Boy this is awesome, I love it. She is so beautiful!” he commented while his eyes stuck on the picture. “I knew it would be a girl! Can I ask you one thing?”

“Yeah, my boy sure!”

“Have you ever got laid in campus?” he finally let out. Hey! This question buzzed my mind for a while. I didn’t know what to answer him exactly. Me and Kiise were roomies in the campus. We had not known each other that deep. So faintly I was like, “No!” It really sounded awkward to him. He made a smirk and he exclaimed, “Sure!” “Yeah sure!” I pronounced back. “You should be kidding. Man! I know I don’t have to ask this but what about in your life?” he asked. I didn’t like talking about such topics. I was caught between the ocean; either fooling or just saying the truth but after all, both had no big deal. “Hum!” I snuggly made the sound as I shook my head. He breathed a prolonged chuckle sluggishly. “Ooh I see! Been just wondering we are on the second year and I have never seen you with a campus girl before.” I stared at his face as he gave out a little lush with a deep sigh. “But I got an idea. You know what?” “Idea about what?” I let out. Giving a deep eye on me, “Don’t worry! Would you like to be done tonight?” he asked. “What do you mean dude!” I uttered. “My friend is throwing a party tonight in his room. You can find some nude for you.” he said. I kept silent for a little while as my thoughts crashed in my head. I seemed unwilling but he tried to wheedle my feeling to accept. Yes! He did it. I finally gave in and decided to accompany him into his friend’s house party. We did our best clad. We walked like heroes from war. I felt like I was lifted high up in the air. I had been never to a party with only students but that day I was in its nude fancy. “How do you feel the music?” he asked me. “Arrogant!” I replied. I did not want to show that I was high about it.

I neither like alcohol nor smocking. The smell of alcohol just blew up my nostrils and the loud music sucked my blood making my character so agonized. My friend had already dipped into the fancy of the party. He was abducted when he saw me ran up to the cool parts of the house. “Hey Jacob! Where are you going?” he called me as he held a cup of liquor. He liked drinking though not so often. I pointed to upstairs before he signed me to come near. He held my right hand as he said, “Let me draw you around the party to see some nude for you.” “It feels uneasy for me!” I spoke. “Yes, I know it should as you are not used to. Just come on.” he pulled me as we went through the party. As we walked briskly, I banged on a girl. She turned and looked at me. “Oh! Sorry. This is my boy and he want to be laid!” he was familiar with the girl. “Was that important?” I asked him. “Telling your friend that I want to be laid.” “She is going to help us. Just do not worry.” he shut me. “Hey big boy! You want to be laid?” she said rudely. I was not sure what to reply so I just kept my mouth shut. I sneakily pinched my friend on his back. “Can you help us?” he asked her. “And which year is he?” she asked. By the show of a finger, “Two!” She chuckled then her eyes back on me. I held my eyes steady on her but deep in my blood I was lesser. Of course, she noticed but never showed any lack of engrossment. “This will be fantastic.” she finally blew up. That decision flicked my feeling as I was already fed up and wanted to move out of the party. She nodded her head then held my hand as we moved. “I am sure you're going to like it.” she said as we halted in a group of girls. They gossiped for a little while before she again held my hand and led me into an almost full room. My friend just walked behind me. In the room he lifted a brownie close to my mouth and said, “Enjoy man. Everyone likes it.” The party slowly started to take me in. Kiise held two glasses of a liquid with a colour of a juice then he was like, “I bet you typing the assignment if you finish first.” I devoured the liquid in a shot without thinking what might be behind it. In few seconds after, my throat felt sour and bitter. Some moments later, I gave out a fetid breath that smelled like a moonshine. I went twirling round with the music until I felt like something irking my throat. I ran to the lavatory to free my belly from the honking mixtures. It was after then I walked out of the washroom that I met a girl who also looked desperate. With no further thinking I just said, “You also want to be laid?” “Piss off!” she said as my friend gripped my hand.

The night continued to grow old. I felt like Kiise had just abused me by giving me alcohol and I have never used it. I only understood that he was just being a fool thinking he is helping me. I knew it was all about my life and I had to skip all those ruining traps for my better being. Since I barfed out all those blowing mixtures, it was over three hours when I felt a cold of dead. When the moonshine had started taking me out, Kiise took me and laid me on outside bench.

It was midnight when Kiise walked towards me as I lifted myself off the bench. I had felt better. “Hey dude! You’re up.” he was flattered. “Kiise, let us get out of this compound. I no longer want to be in this house anymore.” I pleased. “Hey peter! Take it easy!” he spoke. “No Kiise! I…” “Hey boys!” a girl interrupted. She was one of Kiise’s friends. She held two glasses of champagne. she handed one to Kiise. He turned his eyes to her with a smirk, later back to me then he shook his head signalling ‘No’. The girl held his hand a drifted him back into the house. As they walked away, the both looked back at me and smiled absurdly in a vexing way that was just meant to make me look like a fool. “Am going!” I shouted. I was afraid walking alone in a dead night but at the same time I didn’t want to show. It forced me to just sit and wait for him.

I sat underneath the stars as it slowly ticked to one a.m. I felt uncomfortable on the bench for so I decided to get back to the house. The music was still so sucking and the nudity had grown. The party had taken everybody, you can say it was on its fever pitch. I just didn’t stay because it made my mind flip out. I went upstairs to the top of the building. It was coolest part of the building. On reaching up, I was welcomed with a soft cool rhythm of a guitar. She sat alone at the edge playing desperate music. You could tell she was broken from the way she struck those strings. Like she was waiting for me, “Just come.” She told when I halted. I made slow clatters moving close to her. It was a black night broken by the light of the street. The lights made a sparkling rainbow horizon at the far of the eye.

“I held the guitar first when I was in grade four. I was in my friend’s party but it was not pleasing to me. It was past midnight then when I went to the top of their building and found him playing alone. He summoned me to come near and signalled me to sit close to him. After then he gave me the guitar as he gently showed me how to pull the strings melodically. Would you like to try?” She asked me as she turned her eyes onto my face. I was sitting so close to her. I felt some magic I never felt before. “I love the red horizon made by the town lights.” she said as I took the guitar from her hands. “You have just made me remember him. That time I was somehow afraid like you are. I loved him but I never told him he also never said that he loves me.” she said. I pulled the strings wrecklessly. “How often do you use alcohol?” she asked. I looked at her in a while the back to guitar. “I don’t use! Only today that my friend tricked me.” I naively said. “I knew you're not a pro when I saw you in the lavatory. You seemed so weak! I could feel mercy on you.” she spoke. “Mercy!” I exclaimed. “Real mercy.”

“Did we meet in the lavatory?” I asked.

“Yeah! A boy came and lifted you up and supported you out.”

We sat adjacent to each other as we shared our thoughts. She showed me how to pull the strings until her eyes were completely stuck on my face. I raised my eyebrows like in a snow-world watching a shooting star at the back my mind. Steady white spotting eyes just innocently sunken in my look lifted my burden up showing the afloat star that I wanted to ride on. They made the sky brighter and that was the light I wished for my life.

“My friend asked me to accompany her into this bash, thought it could be great but I do like it!” she noted. “Why?” I asked her. “It has an extreme nudity than I thought it could be.” She answered. “That’s being a nice girl!” I said like joking. “No! just being a nice boy!” she said and we both chuckled. The stars covered up the sky as minutes counted to two. “Peter!” she raised. “Yes!” I responded. “I like you talking. You're the cool boy I have known today.” She said as her eyes remained still on mine. The was a little lush in a dead motion. “You are the beautiful girl that has ever talked so nicely to me. What is your name?” I asked her. She grinned and looked down. “Sabella!” she answered. It was a very cold environment. I started freezing so I wanted to go and find a jacket but before I could excuse myself, “You must be feeling so cold. I can help you.” she too a bag that laid beside and removed a thick sheet that we got to wrap ourselves. It was a super moment in my life. Yeah, I started feeling the warmth rising. I a few moments after, she just looked at me deep in eyes and then she was like, “The last moment that was like this in my life, I learned one thing. Never let sweet moment like this fade without making a good memory and don’t let things just go.” She said while she wrapped her arms around my shoulders. She just let my feeling on fire. In a shot I could feel her soft lips gently on mine. It felt more sensual like I have never felt in my life. “Sabella!” we were abducted. It was her friend. She wanted them to go. She quickly packed her guitar and somethings then she started walking away. “Hey Sabella wait!” I called. She halted but did not look back. “Can I see you tomorrow?” I asked. She didn’t say anything. “Please!” I pleaded. “Yes!” she looked back to me and smiled. I also gave out a smirk, moved close and hugged her. On those seconds she unwrapped me and had moved some footsteps away, I felt how miserable it could be living with loneliness. And those few minutes I spent with her I felt how it I comfortable having someone beside you.

“No try another!” Kiise helped me decide a best clad to meet with Sabella. “Yeah! Finally, you got it. She is going to like it now take the mirror.” Kiise told me. I got stunned with the mirror probably because I realized something in me that I had not seen before. “I love you!” I told my image.
