As the light shine to the different part of the place cause of the large stained glass window, morning came and woke the family up. Their house was inspired from the 12th century gothic manors but was built around the 19th century, passed down to generation yet still beautiful as ever. Outside the manor you'll see a unique structural support called flying buttresses which reconstruct the weight of the roof. Looking above you'll see quite a splendid view of the ornate decorations as the pointed arch inside makes it look like a castle.
A manor built away from civilization stood magnificently beneath the sunlight. A manor with a decent amount of dormers which inside lays different stories which are untold.
But in this story we will unfold the story of a girl who lived inside the black covered estate.
'Still alive' I thought as I opened my black diamond eyes.
My lifeless body left the bed and began my usual morning routine.
I went to the bathroom to freshen up and quickly changed into my black
drees that reached below my knees and covered my entire arm.
Leaving the bathroom after i've finished dressing up
my room welcomed me with it's eerie feeling as the only color
you'll see is-
"Black,"
"Breakfast is ready." My brother called on the other side of the door. His footsteps echoed on the empty hallway as I hear
him walk away from my room.
Black indeed.
Our house was passed by generation to generation making it older then the world war one. Bats are seen at the
ceiling sometimes but don't fret they don't bite-
to kill that is.
My heels made a 'clack' sound as I began to walk down the hallway. It's quite spacious for my liking yet I can't do anything about it.
Walking further from my room portraits filled a certain area
of the house- painting of my ancestors since father did say, "painting makes everything'.
Black covered the entire household and I didn't dare ask for a reason on why I was named-
"Amera Black Collin, the second heir of the Collin Family." the main butler announced the moment I set foot at the dining hall.
My mother's sharp gaze didn't bring shivers nor fear like they used to.
My father's aura doesn't make ne tremble at all.
My brother, well I've always had second thoughts before killing him.
'Pathetic.' I mumble.
I walked towards my seat with my head up high and a smirk visible on my lips.
We live inside this 'gothic, creepy, haunted' castle like people say but to me it's paradise. Yeah let's say at some point chains are heard at twelve am or the piano will play a sweet lullaby at two but there's nothing to worry about , since ghost are our acquaintance after all.
"You're late." Mother sighed and asked for her ravens claws.
The butler arrived shortly and before anyone could even blink I placed my arm on the sliver flat surface of Mother's punishment and rolled my sleeves.
"What's happening?" I heard a newly added member to the maids asked.
"Now, now dear this will hurt." Mother stated and carved the letter 'X' on my wrist. Blood dripped on the floor making the maids fear their lives.
The newbie looked in horror as my mother placed the knife in the silver surface and returned to her seat like nothing happened. I rolled my sleeves down and sat on my chair. The butler excused himself and left to clean my mother's knife.
"D-did she just cut her own daughter's wrist?" She whispered in a yell.
Mother laughed sarcastically and ordered the butler to "fire" her.
Moments have passed and a yelp for help was heard. Cries and begs filled the area but no only actually cared as we continued to eat breakfast. This may not be normal to others but it is to us.

'Ah yes still the same' I mumble.

'Still breathing' I thought as I opened my black diamond eyes.

"Breakfast is ready." My brother called on the other side of the door.
This has become my daily morning just like before. Nothing has changed, not now and probably never.
I walked towards the dining hall with the same old things like before. I groaned in silence and checked my wrist to see multiple 'X' mark seen.
"Amera Black Collin, the second heir of the Collin Family." the main butler announced the moment I set foot at the dining area.
I scanned the area but to my surprise mother's gaze isn't on me but to the lady before her.
"Darling this is Kela of the Beker Family." Mother introduced and the woman smiled.
"Gross." I mutter. I could feel the blood dripping from my leg after my brother threw his katana without anyone noticing. He signaled a "Be polite" then returned his gaze on Father.
I hissed at his direction and excused myself , mother didn't seem to care as usual.
I went straight to the garden and inhaled the sweet aroma of fresh air. The aura inside makes me feel suffocated. Black roses are visible and filled the entire garden as per usual.
'Typical' I groaned.
"Everything here is still the same it's killing me."
"Then am I killing you?" a voice appeared out of nowhere.
I turned around to face a guy around my age.
'Another pain in the neck' I thought.
"I'm Kalex, you?"
I stared at his hand and ignored it. I continued my walk around this miserable excuse of a garden but this pest just wouldn't bug off.
"You must be Amera?" He asked.
"I prefer Black." I stated.
"Ah so you can talk?" He joked but only got a stare as my response.
'Didn't he just heard me complaining a second ago?'
"But I prefer Amera." He added.
I sighed then rolled my eyes as he continued talking and talking.
___
"So that is why Mom named me Kalix." he ended his story then looked at me. "And I'll just assume you mother just like black so much?" he asked.
I nodded
"Really? I think blue is better though." he said and looked around.
"That was interesting." I said and stood up from the garden grass.
"Well it was nice meeting you, I guess." I added then walked to the direction of my room.
'Who was that guy anyway? How did he get in? Hopefully I wouldn't cross path with
him ever again'
---
"Young Black of the Collin Family," My butler knocked at my door. "Your mother seeks your presence at the dinning hall."
I then closed the book I'm reading and proceed to walk to the dinning hall. As I arrived, the butler announced my name as usual and I saw Mother with that
girl from before.
"Black Darling do you remember Kela?" she asked. I nodded then as she continued speaking, "Well she together with her son will stay at our manor for a while."
I nodded not wanting to anger mother.
"Oh by the way dear I believe it's best to change that dress of yours." she said then signaled the butler to come.
The butler showed me a grey vintage like dress. I looked at it with disgust and disapproval in my eyes.
"I prefer black." I answered that made mother sigh.
"Very well then." She said and set me off.

Wait what?
"Well she together with her son will stay at our manor for a while."
Mother's words rang in my ears as I immediately went and open the door
'Don't tell me-'
"Hey Amera! Missed me?" the Kalix guy then appeared out of nowhere.
'I hate living'
I saw him standing there with his stupid smile together with my brother.
"What are you doing here?" I asked not trying to show my faint anger.
"I wanna hang out with you today." He cheerfully answered and grabbed my hands.
"Now let's go and have some breakfast!"
I looked back to see my brother smirking.
'I hate you' I signed.
'Me too' he signed back
"So the two of you have met?" Mother asked as she saw us enter the dinning hall.
I rolled my eyes and walked towards my chair.
Since luck and I aren't friends mother suggested that me and this 'thing' should eat at the garden and "become friends", the audacity.
I yelled and possibly had a mental breakdown while me and Kalix step out of the hall and walked to the garden.
"Woah your house is like supper creepy." he said looking around.
The black walls smiled as we walked pass them and into the hallway with a pointed arch leading us to the garden.
"Thank you." I replied
"Why do you have a lot of black stuff?" He asked.
"Black is our only color." I simply answered.
He nodded and continued on talking and talking.
'Gosh he just won't stop.'
---
"Morning Amera!" He greeted the moment I left my room.
'Him again.'
"Breakfast?" He asked.
"Till when are you staying?" I asked
"Hmm maybe for two more days or weeks." He answered and grabbed my wrist making me flinch for a bit. Blood dripped from my sleeves since I haven't patch it up last night.
'Gosh I'm an idiot'
"Huh? What Happened?" he asked then rolled my sleeves up.
"Did you do this?" He asked worriedly then demand me to take him to my room.
'Never seen him this serious'
"Tell me." He ordered after taking the first aid kit in my bathroom. I am currently sitting on my bed as he took care of my wounds- as he calls it.
"This is nothing just some scratch for being late for breakfast." I assured not really caring.
He looked at me worriedly but shook it off as his eyes widen with excitement.
"You're so cool!" he stated then jumped around like a kid then grabbed my hand. His face is too close.
I could feel my face burn, what is this?
"Hey Amera what's that scar?" He asked.
My mood suddenly broke and my aura darkened.
"Some things are better off buried." I answered.
"Oh." he muttered, He then left saying he'll return real quick.
I didn't actually cared if he return or not I prefer him gone from my life anyway. He just opened a wound I tried to hide for so long. That's why I hated nosy people. They never know that they're already
breaking someone by as simple as asking a question.
My life will always be the same. Gloomy and lifeless, ever since that day, when we were underneath the light of the moon in the sky, the day I confessed and ended up hurt both physically and emotionally I returned home with a heart turned
into pieces. Everything was black in my eyes, emotions became weakness and life became a joke.
Moments have passed he came back with a blue ban-aid and placed it at my cheek where my scar was.
Surprised by the sudden gesture he smiled brighter then the sun could.
"See blue does look good on you."
Ever since that day I felt like I'm finally gonna get out of the past.
-----
Days had passed and we would always walk to breakfast together since he said he doesn't want me getting hurt anymore. We would spend our afternoon talking and he would joke around.
He would complain about the creepy pictures or the moving objects.
He would vent about our house but still begs his mother to stay for a bit longer.
It was enjoyable at first I wouldn't lie but everything has to end somehow.
The day before his leave, I sneaked out from my room and knocked on his door. I could feel his surprise but I just told him to meet me in the garden.
We stared at each others faces as we sat at the green grass.
"Do you remember my scar?" I asked.
He nodded as curiosity filled his eyes.
I took a deep breath and mumbled a
'This is it'
That day I told him the memories I buried a long time ago. Memories No one else knew.
Memories that would hunt me every night.
Memories of a cheerful girl that became broken underneath the moonlight.
That day I cried for the first time.
I remembered feeling his warmth and his soothing voice telling me that everything will be alright.
And on that day I felt alive once more.
Everything wasn't normal for me. How can I have this angel when I clearly deserve nothing. Night came and we both fell asleep at each other's embrace.
Morning came and it was finally time to say goodbye.
"Here!" He said giving me a small box.
"What's this?"
"Just a little gift." He shyly admitted making me form a tiny smile.
I could see the tiny blush on his cheeks as his face shine beneath the sunlight.
"Y-you can smile?" He asked in a overacting way making me smile harder
"Stupid." I mumble.
He just smiled and hugged me tightly. "I'm gonna miss you Amera."
I could feel my heart broke inside as he wave goodbye.
After he left that day I cried for the second time longing to see him once more.
'Now everything will be back to normal." I thought.

'Still alive' I thought as I opened my black diamond eyes.
My lifeless body left the bed and began my usual morning routine. I went to the bathroom to
freshen up and quickly changed into my black drees that reached below my knees and covered my entire arm.
Leaving the bathroom after I've finished dressing up my room welcomed me with-
"A box?" I asked confused.
I walked up to it to see a beautiful dark blue dress with a note attached.
'Blue looks good on you.'
I smiled and removed my previous dress and changed it.
After dressing up I went towards the dinning area to see my family's reaction.
"What's that?" Mother asked pointing at my outfit.
"A blue dress, I mean it's best to change my dress, right mother?" I stated with a smile in my lips as my family looked at me with shook in their eyes. I left the hall and went straight to the garden.
Reminiscing our memories made me tear up a bit but happiness still filled my heart knowing that I was blessed with an angel.
"Blue does indeed look good on me." I stated while staring at the gift he gave
me before he left.
A blue diamond ring.
'Everything's changed.' I mumble as his smiling face appeared on my head.
_
"My life was shattered beneath the moonlight
yet you restored it underneath the smiling sunlight,
Let's meet each other again one day"
Kalix read as he hold the black ring Amera gave him the day they realized their heart longed for each other.
"Huh, we ended up giving each other promise rings." he muttered and wore it as her face appeared on his head.
