Fast friendships can be blessing sometime

It's 2020, new year and we all are gathered together for celebrating this beautiful year. New year is all about welcoming new things in life which includes happiness, full of new memories and new opportunities. But who knew one thing would change this beautiful year. Yes COVID 19 broke out and the first case is already reported on the month of January's last week. Everything is different out in India here. Life has changed from normal lives to extreme poverty. People are suffering and here I plan to serve food and shelter to the people around my country. So let me introduce to you about myself. I am Trishita Giri and am 18 and I dream a lot.

Lets get back to what am gonna do. So I start my journey searching for places where I can put all my effort and help the poor and the needy people. I found a place named Kamathipura. So where is it located? Kamathipura is a place located in the bed of Mumbai and is considered as a dirty mark just like a tea mark on the bedsheet. Because it is a place of sex workers and it is ignored. No Government or any higher officials has considered this place. Let me mark one thing , it was left unconsidered also during this pandemic. The nearest railway station to it is Mumbai Central. Obviously my parents didn't allow me alone so I let them be with me on my journey. I found my destination and saw that the prostitutes were so helpless because they were not able to find a job and feed their children. Sex workers some are by their choice and some were trafficked when they were young. Sex trafficking changes lives of every girl but they cannot end up lives. They are ignored by the society and all they see is money for a better everyday life. They are not allowed to dream big in a place like this. Men come and go. This is the only thing they are made to do so. Some get pregnant and some also have new born baby on their first or second years and for their child they have to choose to get paid for sex. So they built their livinghood in here. I was making a video of the place and suddenly found a place where I saw a really unique thing. I saw a guy and some of their friends with food and water. I assumed them to be of my age because they look that so. My heart felt a peace and the way he was doing the work was exactly what I thought of. I went towards him and asked him "Hey! Do you stay here?" He didn't recognize me at first because he was so determined and focused what he did. I tried to make my voice a bit more audible and asked him the same. And yes he sees me now. He immediately serve the rice to one family member over Kamathipura and welcomed me with a hello. And he explained me that he was Anirudh Sharma of Delhi Public School Mumbai. He is a student of 12th standard. In my mind, my assumption was correct. We became friends really fast. I opened up about my plans and ideas of helping this place and we formed an organisation for first 1 week and named it as LIFE ORFANISATION. Our motto was SEX WORKERS' LIVES MATTER and we coordinated our ideas into reality and started to help the children and women of Kamathipura. We offered food, clothing, sanitation products and above all our love and respect. Don't forget my parents, they help us raise the funds on our website and also helped me and Anirudh go through all of this. My parents contacted some website dealers and surprised us with the fund raising idea. It was really a great and very important idea. Because whatever we did actually needed a lot of money. And both of our parents helped through how much they could afford. But we needed more for the whole week. So this website has changed our perception and we were more focused and excited to see ourselves flying high just like the kites in the sky. I also thank God for delivering me such a wonderful idea. It will be my forever best gift of my life I can ever have. I found a girl named Lakshmi. Lakshmi was ambitious and just don't want to end up her life like her Mom. She wanted a better life for her mother and says that she is ready to reach any circumstances to make their lives a better one. She can be the inspiration to all the children out there and make name and fame of herself. She really loved me and always used to talk about how she was a child and things are different now but she doesn't like here and wants to get out of Kamathipura. Lakshmi wants to become a pilot and want to touch the highest clouds and fly. I love the way she snaps her finger and says everything will vanish one day. Girls like Lakshmi will definitely make a change to everyone's mentality.

At the end of the day I felt blessed to have such a supportive companion and friend like Anirudh. I was happy helping and serving with a person like him.

Friendship is not just a bond. It is all of that we do together with the person we call friend. Anirudh and me shared same thoughts and thus we became friends very easily. Because thoughts that create success like this needs no barrier. Fast friendships harms too but you cannot just go against a thing without experiencing it. If your thoughts match with the person you know, then don't just let them go away from your life. Think more about the society and create more ideas and make them reach every part of world. Anirudh and me are still working on our website and people are still funding to our website and we plan to do such great work more for our country India and make it reach to various part of the world and we will never forget helping people in need because that was where our friendship got a name from.
