Mission: S.H.A

Guys are you ready to go? 

Calm down Violet, calm down, I’ve been preparing for this moment for a long time now, and the time has come, you can do this, you got this.  

Guys, we have to go in an hour, everybody got it? 

Violet, laying in her bed, calls for her mother: Mom, mother, can you come here for a moment, please? 

As Violet’s mother enters her room, Violet starts crying, and says: I really wanted to go mother, but I think I can’t go! Why, you ask? She says without giving a chance for her mother to ask why. She continues to speak: I’m sorry, I’m not feeling well mother, I have disappointed you, I know, I know you really wanted me to go, but if you put your hand in my forehead, you will see why, I can’t go. 

Her mother puts her hand in Violet's forehead, as Violet is laying there in pain, her mother says: omg Violet, you are burning, you have a fever darling, that’s why you are talking nonsense. I’ll go get the medicine. I think I’ll have to stay with you.  

Violet says: No! I mean, no mother, no... you really don’t have to stay, go, this business trip is really important to you, you talked about it the whole week, I’ll be fine, there is food in the fridge and I’ll take my medicine and sleep, I’ll be fine mom, don’t worry and go. 

Okay darling, I’ll go, but if you feel worst call me right away, ok? I’ll leave the medicine on your desk, and before you take it, you have to eat something, don’t forget, got it? 

Yes mom, don’t worry. I probably just have to rest and then I’ll be good as new. 

Well, ok then darling. Make sure to rest. We have to go now. 

Bye mom, have a nice trip you four. 

Dad comes to Violet’s room: I’m sorry you are sick kiddo, and you can’t go. This one is going to be a fun trip. I think you were going to like it. But it’s ok, you can go on the next one. Rest, take your medicine and eat. If anything happens you call us, got it? 

Yes dad, bye, love you! 

Love you kiddo, bye. 

Her older sister comes to her room: wow, I taught you well, don’t worry, I won’t tell, make sure to rest and enjoy. Alexa play, fever by Enhypen, she is loving this. Bye now. 

Some minutes go by and Violet goes check her window to see if they left, and yes, they did.  

Alexa play, happy by Pharrell Williams. Violet starts dancing in her room to the song, as she goes down the stairs still dancing, she gets to the living room, dancing and singing. She lays on the couch with the biggest smile and says: My dream has come true, alone, alone at last. Just me, myself and I. She starts making a speech to the invisible audience: Ladies and gentleman, my dream was to be home alone, and today that dream has finally come true, I, an introvert, waited patiently, because I knew, this day would come, first I would like to thank myself, because without me this wouldn’t be possible, my acting skills were put to good use, I thank my mom, my dad, sister and brother for going without me and trusting me, thank you everybody, I think I’ll be seeing you guys' often from now on...Thank you, thank you... 

Violet...what are you doing? 

Violet freezes, and thinks to herself: please tell me the audience gained life and this is just in my imagination. 

Violet...hello. Her brother calls her, and thinks, maybe is the fever, mom did say she was talking weirdly and some nonsense. I think she needs to go to bed. Are you ok, Violet? 

Violet looks back and sees her brother and still in disbelieve she just stands there looking at him in silence, seeing her happy alone time going away in a split second. 

Her brother says, Violet can you hear me? Did you take the medicine mom gave you? Should I call mom? I’m going to call mom; Violet are you there? Why is she looking at me like she is seeing a ghost or something? I’ll take you to your room, okay? Let’s go. 

Violet wakes up from her trance and says: I’m fine! I’m fine...starts crying in silence. One day, that was all I needed. Just one. She asks her brother, why did you stay? 

Mom asked me to, she said you were not feeling well and asked me to keep an eye on you. 

Violet says: To keep an eye on me, I have eyes too and I said I would call if something happened. 

Well, she said you were acting weirdly, so she said I should stay, and here I am.  

Ok, I’ll go to my room. Violet got to her room, and said: Alexa play, just one day by BTS, and she starts singing this song to herself while looking at the mirror. Finishes singing, lays in bed and falls asleep listening to I need to be alone by Girl in red. 

Her brother goes check on her and sees that she fell asleep, he closes the door and goes down the stairs. After some time, Violet hears noise coming from the living room, so she gets up, grabs a spoon because that was the first thing she saw, and goes check what the noise is. Violet gets down the stairs in silence, sees that the lights are on and jumps to the living room saying I’ll save you brother, pointing her spoon with her eyes closed, she hears music in the living room, so she opens her eyes and she's pointing the spoon at her brother. The lights are on and music is playing because her brother was throwing a party. Violet looks around the living room and sees a lot of people she doesn’t even know; she sees everybody was looking at her but not only because of the spoon but also because of her pyjamas and face mask she forgot to take off. A person on the party said, nobody told us it was a pyjama party, so everybody started laughing. Violet looked at the person that talked and said: first of all, nobody makes fun of my BT21 Van pyjama, and second, I could kill you with this spoon, so you better keep your mouth shut at somebody else's house, got it?! No need for an answer. Her brother tries to calm her down. 

Violet says: Calm down? I’m very calm brother, because this is just all in my head, and because in 5 minutes if this living room isn’t empty, I’m calling mom and dad and you know how they hate when you call people over without telling them first, and you know very well, why that is. Keeping an eye on me, more like me keeping an eye on you, isn’t it brother? Violet says as she is going upstairs, 4m 30s, 4m 20s, it’s counting you better hurry, tick tock, tick tock. 

Her brother says: ok, I got it, and you're counting too fast. Everybody out, you guys heard her. 

Violet gets to her room, and after some time she hears noise coming from downstairs again. Angry, she gets up again thinking her brother didn’t tell everybody to leave, so she turns on the scary house system, that her parents built, and all the lights turn off, to see she puts on the glasses that allow her to see while the system is turned on, and she goes downstairs and sees her brother tied up, and she says what is going on? Her brother whispers, bad guys Violet, bad guys...I think they came looking for mom and dad, and are now looking for something, I said that I was home alone, go upstairs and call our parents, so as Violet tried to go up the stairs, one of the bad guys went back to the living room and said, why did the lights go off, did you do something? Her brother said: how can I do something if I’m tied up. The robber said: good point, are you sure your alone? Her brother said yes, I’m sure. Violet was next to the stairs listening, they couldn’t see her, because it was dark, so Violet went to the kitchen to get the scissors and as she got there, she saw the other robber, so she ducked really fast next to the kitchen island and got the scissors. Violet went back to where her brother was, to cut the rope, and he said now go call our parents and the police, she says don’t worry, I turned the scary house system on.  

Violet: I’m going now, but tell me how many are they? Her brother said: they are 3 dudes, be careful. Violet said, you stay here and keep acting like your alone. As she said that, the scary house system said: System is now working in full potential, warning, kids should be upstairs to stay safe.  

As Violet was getting up the stairs, the robber that was in the living room, pointed his flashlight to the stairs and saw Violet, she starts running to her room and as he tries to go after her, her brother pushes him, and he falls, hits his head on the table and passes out. The robber that is in the kitchen as he tries to get out, the drawers and cabinet doors start to open and close automatically and start hitting him, and the kitchen door locks him in, not letting him out. 

The system says: already called mom and dad, and the police, kids don’t be afraid. Receiving call from parents: Kids, are you alright? The police are coming, they are closer so they are going to get there first, if you guys are in the safe room, open the front door so that the police can get in. As the third robber tries getting up the stairs, he gets electrocuted when he grabs the handrail, and passes out. The police arrived and the kids aloud the door to be opened, the system said to the police: Identify yourselves by putting your faces in front of the camera, and so they did, the system saw if they are real police officers and said: Opening the doors, police are now going in the house, kids can come out. 

Violet and her brother get out of the safe room and go talk to the police, the police took the robbers and said to the kids: 2 police officers are going to stay here with you guys until your parents arrive, don’t worry, your safe now. Violet and her brother laugh, yes, we know, but those guys aren’t, they messed with the wrong family, or should we say the right one. The police officer not understanding what the kids were saying he said, ok kids, we are going now. You guys wait for your parents. After a while their parents arrive and go and hug the kids, thanks to the system you're alright. Did the robbers go with the police already? Yes mom! The parents thank the police officers for staying with the kids and when the officers leave, they go check the cameras to see who the robbers were so that they can find out who send them, and the parents ask, were you guys' scared? 

Violet says why would we be? First this was pretty light compared to some things we had to go through and second, we are the kids of the best spies in the agency and the best kid spies in the agency, mom, mother...scared, us? I planned this whole thing, when I came downstairs and saw my dear brother’ party, I noticed somebody quite suspicious in the party so I gave my brother a signal, I said I was wearing my BT21 Van pyjama, when I was wearing my Tata one, and because I taught him all the characters names, he knew I would never mess my BT21 characters names up, so he knew something was wrong, he looked at the stairs direction and saw the robber going up, thinking nobody saw him, because I was talking loudly on purpose so that he would think that, so my brother stayed downstairs, and pretended to be caught by surprise by the others, but of course we were not caught by surprise. The robber was hiding in the bathroom, waiting for me to get upstairs and when he entered my room, I simply sprayed the sleeping spray in his face and he passed out, and then when I got out, I locked my room. And yes, he is still in my room mom. I knew you needed at least one to ask some questions.  

But he didn’t tell the others your brother was not alone? Violet: No, maybe he thought he would lock me in my room and then tell the others I was there locked and that they didn’t have to worry or something, probably because I’m a girl, they always underestimate us, we just have to turn that to our advantage. 

Violet thinks: I just wanted one day, to be home alone, but I guess having the best spies as parents, is a 24/7 job. And don’t worry about me dancing in the living room, I deleted that of the CCTV before my parents got home. 

Her dad says: that’s my girl! Her sister said: wow, you did well. Their mother said: you guys did well, but somebody threw a party when they know very well, that they have to ask first, because of this very reason. You are grounded! I asked you to take care of your sister and you throw a party?! And your sister even though she is sick she did all this. 

Mom, she isn’t sick, she just wanted to stay home alone. You can see her in the videos dancing. 

Your sister was in her room, she only came downstairs to make some cereal. Don’t try to put this on her, even though she saw the robber because of the party, they would not have been able to get in, if you wouldn’t have opened the door. You are grounded and no buts. 

Her brother says: Violet, as she goes up the stairs...I’ll get you, and runs towards her. Violet locks her door and lays in her bed. Their mother says: leave Violet alone, she needs to rest. Violet writes a note and passes it through the floor, the note says: Next time you want to throw a party, don’t. You know I can’t stay in a room with a lot of people, I already have to do that at the agency most of the time, and now at home too, without a heads up, I almost passed out, oh, and this was also because of your friend that made fun of my pyjamas. Don’t be mad, love you! This message is going to explode in 5 seconds. 

Violet: I guess being alone is a mission impossible kind of thing in my home, being born an introvert in a spy family is a 24/7 job on its own and a really hard one, I have to say. Anyway, Alexa play Migos, KAROL G, Snoop Dogg & Rock Mafia – My Family ("The Addams Family" OST). 

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys, my family had to go receive the best spy family award, and there is always so many people in the agency events, it gives me the chills just thinking of being there, anyways, next time, I’ll just have to prepare better for mission: S.H.A(Staying Home Alone) level 2, and hope it works. Fingers crossed, toodles.
