It wouldn't be until the late period of spring that Jackson would become concious with the fact that what had been discovered was the very thing he held so dear to hes heart. But you would have to venture even further back to fully understand the true nature of the event. It all began with jackson marsh a hard working and somewhat shy kind of guy had woken from a short but comforting sleep with two things on his mind one being it was Friday his last day at work and secondly he had a date with Molly Thomson his childhood sweetheart who Jackson had bumped into earlier in the week he had not seen molly in over 20 years. Thay had both laughed and joked as thay were reminiscing about the past and the one thing that caught both of their attention is that thay was still wearing the bracelets which thay had exchanged all those years ago at their school prom dance. Not long after graduation molly and her family moved away but as it happened the new job she had landed brought her closer to her old home where she had spent all of her childhood. Jackson and Molly had both decided to switch numbers during the week thay had kept in touch and finally Jackson had plucked up the courage to ask Molly out it had been on his mind all week the same as secretly molly had been on his mind all those years . Even when molly moved away jackson gad never forgot about her when she had returned to the town Jackson saw it as some kind of sign from heaven almost as if it was meant to be. As you can see jackson was more of a dreamer as where molly had just come out of a long term relationship and had become more of a free spirit at least for the time being anyway. Neither molly or Jackson had children Jackson had never really found the right person and molly was a lawyer so at the time it was somewhat of a god send for molly and her advancing career. Jackson had become awere of mollys past and made sure he didnt bring such a heartfelf subject to life or press to hard at the tender matter as he already knew the last thing someone would want is a possible suiter banging on about there past. On the other hand jacksons life was somewhat more of an open book he owned a small apartment and he worked in i.t solutions which was also playing on his mind with molly being so successful would he be good enough for her. But as Jackson was obviously unawere this kind of thing didnt bother molly nore it ever had. Even jackson figured he was being a little petty over the situation aspecially with the big date fast approaching they both began to feel the strain and pressure no matter how far back there past went this was new territory for them both. As friday morning was vastly slipping away Jackson still found himself slouched in hes bed trying to find the courage to fight of the early morning cold that was biting at his feet as he appeared to be almost cocooned in his duvet. Finally arising with the thought of molly still attached to his mind gave out a huge yawn followed by a bone cracking stretch first things first jackson thought to himself as he slowly walked down the cold pine staircase he shuffled into the kitchen put the kettle on and placed two slices of bread into the toaster. After he finished breakfast jackson hopped into the shower brushed his teeth and changed into his navy blue suit. Now with a spring in his step he got outside his front door and made his way to the train station. While waiting at the station jacksons phone began to ring he had received a text from molly the text read (Wakey wakey eggs and bakey lol) as Jackson chuckled to himself he also realised he was late for work his train had been delayed. Finally the train had arrived 30 minutes later than usual as Jackson hopped on board his stomach felt as if it were doing summersaults no longer knowing weather it was because of his date or that it was the third time this week he had been late. When Jackson finally arrived at the office his best friend terry was waiting at the elevator bearing a huge smile and shaking his head (dont start) Jackson sighed it's been a long morning (its been a long year) terry said with a smirk on his face. ( You seem in high spirits today said terry) but its friday ain't we all thay both looked at each other and began to smile. Jackson decided to tell terry about his date with molly as well as there past (good for you) terry replied its about time you had a bit of romance in your life. As the hours ticked away it soon became 4.00 and wasting no time what so ever Jackson packed up and perched at the edge of his seat waiting for the clock to strike 4.30 almost like aschool kid waiting for the hometime bell to ring. On his way out he did get a quick snag by the boss about his constant late arrivals but didnt really care as Jackson had bigger things on his mind . While he was on the train home his phone began to ring he took it out of his pocket it was another text from molly who was just making sure thay was still on for tonight a huge sigh of relief filled jackson like it was releasing him of all the doubts he was having about the date. So jackson text back the text read ( yes molly i will meet you at 7.30 by the train station not telling molly where he was taking her as he was keeping the details close to hes chest but he had recently heard of a new restaurant that had just opened up in the town. As Jackson returned home he wasted no time in jumping into the shower once again when he got out he had realised it was almost 6.30 with no idea where the hours had gone he rushed a glass of wine nervously and got changed. Jackson was all ready for his big night just as he was leaving he sent molly one last text reading (I'll be there in 20 mins) he got to the trainstation and very eagerly began to wait. As time went by it got to 7.45 then 8.00 so jackson decided to call molly only to be met with the sound of her ringing out he tried again only this time mollys phone was swtched off. So jackson began to slowly walk back home beginning to feel rejected a small tear began to roll down hes cheek on the way home he started to realise the snow had all but melted leaving behind dark puddles of sleet something he had never really paid attention to before the perfect scene to top off a sad and depressing evening. As Jackson slowly hobbled into hes apartment no longer caring about anything went right to his wine cabinet and picked out the strongest bottle of wine he could find. Now beginning to curse the very day he met molly Thomson thinking of all the vile horrid things he could call her jackson finally drank himself to sleep. When he woke the next morning having dreamt a blank the first thing he did was grabbed hes phone deeply hoping for a text from molly saying that she had been called into work at the last minute or something anything really that would have excused her for the absence that he was more than sure was a stand up and finally put his parcially sober mind at rest. But nothing now i can get back to my dull depressing lonely life Jackson muttered to himself with a smile of ignorance about his face. Having nothing to do with day Jackson decided to call up terry and see if he wanted to meet for drinks and basically talk trash about past relationships something terry was definitely all for. They both decided to meet in there local bar at 4.00 jackson still angry and hurting from the painful embarrassing night before just mozied around the apartment for the rest of the day. As it eventually reached 3.30 Jackson set out not feeling in the mood of bumping into anyone else he knew decided to take a shortcut over the local park. For such a fresh spring day hhe noticed the park was rather empty there was no children playing like usual all the snow was gone. As Jackson got to the far end of the park there was what looked like awhole squad of police and a huge crowd of people one of the corners of the park was surrounded with yellow tape . As jackson slowly walked over with a hint of curiosity on his face he came up to a small group of onlookers and asked what had happened one of the aged woman replied the body of a young woman was found early this morning . Jackson now becoming even more curious asked who had found the girl (some old man walking hes dog hes over there) an woman said . As Jackson finally walked over to the old man he adked if he knew the girl (no) he replied in an old frail sheepish voice. Of in the distance jackson could just about make out the way an officer was discribing the girl and it began to send tingles down hes spine. No it cant be Jackson was saying to himself under hes breath as he slowly approached the crime scene all of a sudden he stopped dead in his tracks the air felt as if it had been sucked from hes lungs and hes legs bacame no more than two wuthering branches as he looked ahead just beyond a melted snowbank laying there before him was that of a hand that appeared battered and bruised but what mostly caught hes attention was attached to the hand was none other than the bracelet that he had given to molly when thay was teenagers all those year ago. Jackson still refusing to believe it made hes way over to a police officer and explained about the night before and asked if he could identify the girl reluctantly the officer said yes as jackson drew closer the fact there was a body on the other side of this snowbank was more than enough to think about but the thaught it could be molly was tearing him apart Jackson got into clear view and hes worst fears had come to be realised there before him lay the body of his childhood sweetheart molly Thomson he took one look up at the officer and with that gave a gentle nod he turned around with hes heart somehow pounding in his throat and began to hike hes way up the park no longer caring about meeting hes friend terry or work or anything for that matter. When ge aventually arrived back at the apartment he threw hes keys on the table along with the card the officer gave him grabbed yet another bottle of wine and headed upstairs. Jackson sat up right on the end of his bed with his hands clutched tightly together almost cutting off the circulation he began to ponder all the vile thoughts he had about molly almost blaming himself now knowing it was no brush off also how much he loved her. And all he could picture was that bracelet on her bruised and beaten wrist the wrist of hes one true love molly Thomson ...

Creative way to use the prompt. You portrayed the main character's personality really well. And very emotional!! Good job. Maybe try to break up the story a little into paragraphs?
