"You have to be careful, vaffanculo", warned Luca, a third-generation Sicilian.

"What do you mean, Luca?", asked his cousin, Pietro.

"We have to make sure nobody finds out about our business, capisce?", Luca replied.

"What if someone does? What then?", Pietro questioned.

"Then we take care of him. We don't take any chances.", Luca said firmly.

The two men sat in silence for a few moments until Pietro spoke up again.

"But what if someone speaks to the authorities?"

"We make sure they don't. We have ways of taking care of that. Don't worry, we're in control." Luca replied.

"But what if someone finds out anyway?", Pietro asked.

"Nobody will. We have it all taken care of. Nobody will get hurt as long as we stay quiet and keep our business to ourselves.", Luca reassured.

"Ok Luca, I understand. We'll be careful."

"Good. That's all I ask.", Luca said before getting up to leave.

"Stay safe, Pietro. Nothing happens to the family."

And with that, Luca said his goodbyes and left Pietro alone to think about the gravity of the situation.

SeCoNd StOrY:

what can I do

“Hey, what do you think?”

“Not too sure. You?”

“I think it's a good idea.”

“Well, I'm not sure it'll be enough.”

“Enough for what?”

“To get the job done.”

“What job?”

“The one we need to do.”

“What's that?”

“We need to find a way to make this work.”

“But how?”

“I don't know. I'm still trying to figure it out.”

“Maybe we can get some help?”

“Maybe. Who would we ask?”

“I don't know. Someone more experienced. Someone who knows more than us.”

“Like who?”

“Someone who knows what they're doing. Someone who has all the answers.”

“Where do we find someone like that?”

“I'm not sure. We'll just have to start looking.”

“But where?”

“Let's just keep our eyes open and see what we can find.”

tHiRd StOrY:

people aren't who they seem

“So, you think you’ve got it all figured out?”

“I know I do.”

“Well, let’s hear it then.”

“I believe you were involved in a crime of some sort, and had someone help you cover it up.”

“Interesting. And who might that be?”

“I believe it was your father.”

“My father? What makes you think that?”

“The evidence I’ve gathered points to it. I have recordings of conversations between the two of you, with him discussing how to keep the details of the crime hidden. I also know that he was the one who gave you the money for the cover-up.”

“That’s preposterous. My father would never do something like that.”

“Well, if that’s the case, then why don’t you explain why he gave you the money?”

“I… I don’t know. Maybe he was just trying to help me out?”

“Help you out? Really? I think that he was trying to protect himself. That’s why he gave you the money. He was trying to make sure that you stayed quiet about the crime.”

“No… That can’t be right.”

“I’m afraid that it is. Your father was involved in something sinister and he was using you to cover it up.”

FoUrTh StOrY:

Daring takes

"Where are we going?"

"On an adventure!"

"What kind of adventure?"

"One unlike any we've ever experienced before."

"Sounds exciting! What do we have to do first?"

"Let's go find the entrance to the mysterious cave."

"And how do we do that?"

"There's a secret path that only a few people know about."

"Interesting. What kind of dangers will we face on the way?"

"We could encounter wild animals, or even monsters. We'll need to be prepared for anything."

"I'm up for it! What do we need to bring with us?"

"We'll need to arm ourselves with weapons and make sure we have enough supplies to get through the journey."

"Let's do it! What are we waiting for?"

"It's time to embark on our grand adventure!"

FiFtH sToRy:

Monsters

"Where are we?"

"I don't know. It's dark and cold, I can't see a thing."

"We should try to find a way out."

"It's too dangerous, let's just stay here."

"What if we get lost?"

"Well, we could try and find a light source, and then a way out."

"Good idea. Let's look around."

"grrrrrrowwwwwwwwlllllllll"

"What was that?"

"I don't know, but I think it came from over there."

"Oh no. What is it?"

"I think it's a monster. We need to get out of here."

"We're trapped!"

"WwWwHOoO ArE YoU?"

"OH-NO THE EXIT IS GONE!"

"RUN!"

"I will have your flesh to prey upon."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! quick behind the rock!"

"You can't hide from me! because you cant hide for long soon you will have to come out and eat, and then I will prey upon your weary flesh. how sweet it will be!"

"oh-no we're goners."

Thump, Thump, Thump

"AAAAAAAAAHHH-"

SiXtH sToRy:

abandoned lodge

"I'm sorry, what did you say the name of this place was again?"

"It's called the Abandoned Lodge. Supposedly it's been deserted for years."

"And you're sure we should be doing this?"

"Of course. What's the worst that could happen?"

"I don't know, maybe we get lost or something. This place looks like a death trap."

"It's fine. Just stick close to me."

"I don't like this. We should turn back."

"Relax. We're almost there."

"I don't think we're alone."

"What do you mean?"

"I swear I heard something. Like footsteps or something."

"Stop being paranoid. There's nobody here."

"Look out!"

"What? What's wrong?"

"It's too late. We have to run."

"What is it?"

"I don't know, but it's not human."

"I can't keep up. I'm exhausted."

"Just a little further. We can make it."

"I think I twisted my ankle."

"You have to keep going. Don't stop."

"I'm sorry. I can't go any further."

"Get up! We have to keep moving!"

"I can't. Just go without me."

"No. I won't leave you here."

"Just save yourself. I'll be fine."

"No, I won't let you die."

"It's too late. You have to go now."

"I won't leave you."

"You have to. It's already too late for me. Just remember that I love you."

"No!"

"I'm sorry."
