General

“Crap! It’s cold as hell out here.” A short woman with dark long hair yelled as she wrapped her pale white arms around herself trying to stay warm. She was alone walking along the deserted streets in the middle of the night. Suddenly she heard a car behind her as she turned to see a large black van slowly driving towards her.

“Ok Lilith calm down, it’s just a soccer Mom and her kids coming home.” She whispered to herself trying to calm her nerves. The van slowed down as two men wearing very expensive grey suits opened the doors and stepped out as Lilith picked up her walking pace.

“Shit, stay calm.” She whispered as the men followed her, she knew they would be a lot faster then her but she sure as hell wasn’t giving up that easy. She made a run for it but before she could even get two metres one of the men grabbed her.

“Come with us.” The first man said as she tried to escape his bruising grip on her arm.

“You know what you did.” The other growled as she looked at them in confusion.

“Ok get your hands off me! This is harassment! I haven’t done anything wrong!” She shouted, she was about to continue her rant when one of the men held a cloth soaked in chloroform over her mouth. Lilith tried to fight it but her body slowed down and her eyes closed as her body went limp in the man’s arms.

“I thought boss said this was supposed to be hard.” One man said as the other chuckled and threw Lilith over his shoulder.

“These vampires are always tricky little things aren’t they.” The man groaned as he threw Lilith down on the backseat of the van.

“They creep me out, at least boss will be happy with it.” The other said as they both cackled together. They sat in the van and drove off leaving no trace that they or Lilith were every there.

After an hour of driving the van stopped at what looked like an old hotel. The two men opened the van as one pulled an unconscious Lilith out of the van. A buff man in a black suit walked out of the building.

“I’ll take it from here.” He grumbled as he grabbed Lilith roughly and walked into the building, he pressed the button for the elevator as Lilith began to stir awake. He quickly got into the elevator and pressed the top floor. He tapped his foot nervously as the elevator went higher and higher, everyone knew that if they would disappoint the boss they would mysteriously ‘disappear’ the next day.

The elevator finally made it to the top as he stepped out. A tall red head women sat on a couch with a martini in her hand with three men standing around her, she smiled as the man entered.

“I see she didn’t give up much of a fight.” She said as she stood and directed the man to lay Lilith on the couch. Lilith’s eyes opened as she groaned and looked around. She jumped up and tried to run but one of the boss’s guards grabbed her and kept her in place.

“Where the am I!?” She shouted as the boss chuckled.

“Well dear, you’re in my home. I’m Saskia, but you can just call me Miss. You know exactly why you’re here Kara.” She said as Lilith looked at her in confusion.

“Ok for one, I don’t know why I’m here and two, I’m not Kara.” Lilith said as she chuckled.

“I thought vampires were better liars.” She said as Lilith’s eyes widened.

“Vampires! What!?” Lilith shouted as the woman poured another drink.

“Take her to a spare room and make sure she can’t escape.” Saskia said as Lilith struggled in the man’s grip.

“Let me go!” She shouted as he dragged her to a guest room and threw her inside before locking the door from the outside. Lilith ran up to the door and bashed on it.

“Let me out! You’ve got the wrong person!” She shouted, she knew they wouldn’t listen.

“Argh!” She shouted as she collapsed onto the bed and sighed.

“None of this has to do with me, vampires? Kara? None of this makes sense.” She muttered to herself as she rested her head on the pillow. She still felt dizzy from the effects of the chloroform, she closed her eyes and couldn’t help but fall asleep in the comfy bed.

Hours had past and the sun was now directly above the building. Lilith began to wake up from her deep sleep as she sat up and groaned. She looked over to see herself.

“I didn’t see that mirror.” She muttered as her reflection stepped towards her.

“Wait what!?” She screamed as the person grabbed her and covered her mouth.

“Shh, christ do you want to be killed?” The person hissed. Lilith stared up at her in confusion as the woman rolled her eyes.

“I know what you’re thinking and no, I’m not your clone. I’m your twin sister, I’m Kara. We’re not vampires, we’re angels.” She whispered as Lilith’s eyes widened.

“Now I’m going to take my hand away and you’re not going to make a noise.” She said as she gently took her hand away from her sister.

“What the hell!” She screamed as Kara covered her mouth again. The door opened revealing one of the guards.

“Boss!” He shouted as Kara gabbed the lamp beside the bed and threw it at him, next she smashed the window and grabbed Lilith as she jumped out. Lilith screamed as she looked over at Kara to see wings sprouting from her back, but they weren’t big white wings Lilith would expect to see from an angel. They looked more like giant bat wings.

Lilith screamed more as Kara flew off gripping Lilith’s hand.

“Holy crap!” She screamed as Kara quickly flew up to a nearby building and landed on the roof.

“So many questions. Why aren’t your wings big and white if you’re an angel? How are you my twin? Who are those people?” Lilith rambled on before Kara covered her mouth again.

“Oh my god shut up please.” She groaned as Lilith rolled her eyes and nodded. Kara took her hand away as she sighed.

“Good.” She said as she sat down on the floor.

“We were separated at birth, to protect us or whatever. Those people are just stupid humans who want money and power. And all angels have different wings, mine just happen to make me look like a vampire apparently. And before you ask, yes you have wings to.” Kara said as Lilith sat across from her.

“Ok, that’s a lot to take in. Definitely not how I thought this day would go.” Lilith muttered as Kara chuckled lightly.

“I’m glad I found you, took me a while.” She said as Lilith smiled.

“I used to dream of having a sister, never imagined I’d have a twin.” She said as Kara smiled back. Suddenly a man with big beautiful multicoloured wings flew up to them as Lilith scurried away.

“Who the hell are you!?” She shrieked as he chuckled.

“I’m Leo, your brother.”
