Drama Fantasy Fiction

It was only a couple of days after Shiv, Mer, and Heraptis finished uniting the half-orc Chrisstens under the same theology and fundamental beliefs that a feast was held to celebrate. During the feast, many people came up to the trio and thanked them for the peace and knowledge they gave. At the height of the feast, the self-exiled warrior princess Laraganus came in. She was alone, her iconic spear in hand. She marched straight to the trio. At this point, everyone fell silent since it had been almost 50 years since she had last shown her face in the Green Swamps. She raised her spear and pointed straight at Shiv and in a commanding voice said:

"Shiv Longsword, is it true that you are a descendant of Shelo Longsword, brother of Kamos Longsword who was the husband of Princess Zera?"

"Yes ma'am, I am he," he said. She knelt in front of the trio's table

"I wish to be your wife," she said.

"I refuse because I am about to have one," he said, he then began holding Mer's hand as proof of their union.

"Then I will marry your firstborn son," she said standing up.

"I don't have one yet," he said.

"I'm willing to wait, or have you forgotten who I am?" she said.

"No ma'am, I haven't. Although I am a bit conflicted about your proposal, Why do you seem so desperate to marry into my family?" asked Shiv.

"Because you are a part of the lineage of Noone, I wish to be a part of it. From one warrior to another I wish to be part of its great legacy and I don't care how long I need to wait. For I have yet to live out 2/3s of my life." she said. The crowd started to whisper in shock at this moment. The trio stared at each other unable to know what to do.

"The only other thing I ask is that you keep him pure for me. I don't want wars started because of jealousy," she said. She turned around and left. The crowd roared with comments and debates on the situation that they just witnessed.

Shortly after Mer and Shiv married and had their first child Shim. They also had two others. One girl and another boy. The family traveled all across Kolora, spreading the truth about the nature of the True God and why he does what he does. Giving answers to some of the toughest questions. Shiv and Mer's children grew up in wisdom, strength, and maturity. When Shim was roughly 14/15 years old the family was on the road when they were attacked. Shim was struck in the arm with an arrow and in the head by a blunt weapon. Luckily he survived but had to be bedridden for a couple of days and had to relearn had to use his arm. Somehow his arm never fully recovered from the accident. This series of events brought fear upon Shiv and Mer. They had taken Laraganus' offer and tried to raise Shim to be as pure as possible.

Meanwhile, Laraganus was providing finances, and security, and offered any help she could. There were days were Mer and Laraganus would talk about life, religion, and the type of man Shim would be for Laraganus, how both felt alone in their own lands, and many, many other topics. Most of the time though Laraganus was keeping her distance from Shim. She wanted to see him grow into the man she wanted without having to do anything herself. She placed her trust in Shiv and Mer, as well as the True God. There were many times she had to step in between danger and Shiv's family. Yet she was too far away from the fight where Shim almost died.

Heraptis was another great family helper, he mentored Shiv and Mer on how to parent, when to punish and when to show mercy, when to teach, and when to advise, and even taught them how to juggle their faith with others and their children's. The kids viewed Heraptis as their uncle of sorts. Both Heraptis' kids and Shiv's kids grew up together, they went on adventures together and became very close. When traveling Heraptis' kids would guard Shiv's kids with their lives. In one instance this did in fact happen: While preaching, Shiv's family was attacked by an adventuring party. Heraptis' middle son took several arrows, and magic missiles before he died. Both families mourned much that day. Shim learned the lesson of how important he really was. After that, there were times they had to put their heads together solve puzzles, and finish tasks/chores. It's actually said that Shiv's daughter went on to marry one of Heraptis' sons. Thus forging an even deeper bond between the families.

When Shim was finally of age. Laraganus went to Shiv and Mer to talk about how she would propose to him. They came up with a plan. Shiv would take Shim on a hunting trip with other men when they came back. Laraganus would wait until they came back and propose in front of the whole family and friends of the family. Then when the day came Shiv took Shim along with a few other trusted friends to go hunting. When they got back, Shiv told Shim to go around back to find something. When Shim arrived Laraganus was there on one knee with a ring in hand, surrounded by friends and family. Shim was startled, shocked, happy, a bit weirded out, and felt very awkward. Yet he composed himself and accepted it.

Within a couple of months, they got married at the Weapons Lake at dusk in traditional wedding garbs. There was a huge feast to celebrate and Laraganus felt at home for the first time in almost a century. Soon Laraganus birthed Shak who fathered Shane, who fathered Shale, who fathered Shra, who fathered Shragaurd, who fathered Shekra, who fathered Noone.
