The Time drawn lovers who were there each decade or crossed paths in one way or the other. It was always love at first sight.
It was either mutual friends who introduced them, or they were always involved in the very same interest. They seemed to like or love the same things that sparked a curiosity of "Do I know you?", "You seem to be familiar?" or "Have we met before?".
How was it that time allowed them to meet much less see or even acknowledge their presence that would have them realize that they were meant to be together. Time was always the one that started them on their way towards being together, this would be the final moment.
To try and place it in a certain way and give it something that would allow it recognition would only make it more worthy of the time and effort to be put upon it in finding them before something else made their efforts thwarted.
Who's to say when this ever first took place, whether it was a ballroom dance, and rock concert, a Save the Whales event, a tasting of wines, a church social, a hiking journey for charity, yet it as always something that placed them in the same location at the same time.
This was always the same thing which caused them to ask the same questions and get the same results. For both to have that knowing look upon their faces, as though they knew even before they spoke or even have the first chance introductions.
It was so glorious, so divine. It made time stand still for only a moment, then time would draw them together, bring them closer than close. They were within standing room only. Always a dance or being asked, "May I have this dance with you?".
The only changes that took place were in the era or time in history.
These two were destined to be. These two were not sure how or what was to be the beginning of long-lost love that would bring them together. The intertwine them as like nothing ever know by man only God Himself would know.
The places were different. The locations were different. The group(s) of people were different. Or maybe they were not different at all. The love was the same. The spark that ignited the love was the same. The interest between them was the same for both.
Love is a powerful force. It guides you and leads you towards the unknown. It brings you both joy and pain. It will make you smile and laugh. Love will also bring you sorrow and tears.
"How can love be the beautiful idea that have many dream about for long hours while awake, then the next come crashing down like waves crashing against the rocks?"
Love is mysterious and yet incredibly open. It belongs to no one yet is cherished by some and hated by most. It can be hard to find, sought by many and be the last thing spoken on one's death bed confessions.
When two people in a million, who never thought they would see the one and only one ever again, standing across a crowded room, standing in a line waiting for a train, in the checkout stand at the local market, love stepped in and saved the day.
Their past meets with their present that gives way to their future, their uncertain unknown and yet to be determined one. Their history was written long before they were conceived or even thought about.
The two of them may have noticed each other when they were growing up, or when they were at the same school, after being transferred. They met after they were placed in the same job because of downsizing or a merger of companies taking place.
When they have that unbreakable and unresolved love that withstands the test of time and space, traveling with them and wrapping them together as one, "what should dare try to break them up or prevent them from being as one?"
When they grow, they give much, they love with all their heart, soul, and mind. They willingly make promises; they share in the moment as though it would be their last, "what would dare become a wedge between them, when it was and is meant to be?"
Destiny plays a small part, as does fate and chance. Tears are shed. The loss is great when they are torn apart from even the very fabric sewn to keep them together.
Time is a cruel and sore loser. Time knows no rules, only makes up its own. Love and Time battle out for a winner takes all and, in this case, all is the separation of two people meant to be together forever and always.
Never to enjoy any single length of time together. They are unsure of how long they have. They make the most of the time they do have together and are in a race to see what can happen while they are there, in that moment, at that moment, the fire burns brightly.
The passion is increased, and the desire is one that would sear love in their minds and be played out like they had always imagined it would be when they did and if they did meet.
To command attention to the innermost details, already knowing all they needed to know, all they would ever need to know, which would be because of the love carried down the years, down the decades, down the many centuries to this one moment that lasted for only a second in time.
"Would these two people, who meet repeatedly throughout time finally be allowed to mend and make up as the eternal lovers they were meant to be?"
"Would destiny, fate, chance join in with love to make this the final time and point that the long-lost love prevails?"
These two people meet once more. Not knowing how or when or where but the why is clear. The look they see. The expression and then the smile. Always the smile is a dead giveaway. Love for the moment has won again. Maybe this time it will become as eternal as their love is meant to be, with them and their love together.
