THE BLEEDING HEART

In the ancient times when man tried to conquer other kingdoms to expand their rulership King Bizcaro who went to war and claimed victory was summoned by his Red Guards that his wife Queen Remencita gave birth to a baby girl and the king had to go back to his kingdom to meet his little princess. He appointed one of his generals to negotiate with the defeated king before he go into exile with his family. King Bizcaro didn't know King Contiqio was going to his smaller kingdom that he had already informed his defeat to his people so they were preparing his return with Queen Benzola, When King Bizcaro arrived at his kingdom he was informed that the little princess was gone. because their were not enough soldiers to guard his palace Pitogo came to snatch the little princess and brought her to the forest where a wicked lady sorcerer cast her a spell that she could live in the cave with Pitogo until a prince will come to rescue her and be able to see his father King Bizcaro and Queen Remencita in their huge and grandiose palace. Nobody knows that Pitogo was sent by King Contiqio to snatch the little princess Princess Contessa. King Contiqio instructed Pitogo that the little princess must be thrown into the river to die but Pitogo brought her to the Sorcerer Jimala. Sorccrer Jimala imprinted a heartshape mole to her left cheek so whenever a prince would kiss that mole the spell would be broken and Princess Contessa would become a real princess. Pitogo didn't want Princess Contessa to die so he paid Sorcerer Jimala to cast a spell on her. Pitogo had to make the cave a little bit comfortable for the little baby and ask the help of the Head Rabbit to gather wood and make the bed of the little princess. Head Rabbit called his friends to help him and gave them some assignments to do after they finish the bed. Pitogo had to go back to the palace of King Contiqio to tell him Princess Contesa had died by drowning in the river. So Pitogo ask Head Rabbit if they can trap a boar and get his heart to show to the king that the princess had really died. They were able to catch a wild boar with a heart that could resemble the baby's heart after all pigs are considered to be the nearest resemblance of human organs. King Contiqio didn't show any remorse about the death of the little princess harboring a wounded pride. He called his only son Prince Dominique two years older than Princess Contessa. King Contiqio moved his family to a smaller kingdom where he plans to train more soldiers and return to regain his kingdom from King Bizcaro. He put Prince Dominique into rigorous training on shooting of the bow and arrow fencing and self defense. King Bizcaro didn't celebrate his victory after defeating King Contiqio because there is no amount of victory he has lost her little princess the joy of his heart. He had no plans to conquer other kingdoms anymore but to serve the other kingdom he had acquired. He didn't feel any grudge at all to King Contiqio but he showed them his kindness and mercy to those who needs his help. He ordered the release of all prisoners to start their life anew and he found solace in doing them for the benefit of all the people in his two kingdoms. That was his purpose why he conquered King Contiqio when people came to him. They were not happy under his rule. It can be said King Bizcaro gave them a new hope in life to improve their living conditions and a little liberty to enjoy their lives with less taxes on what they earned or produce.. Even though the situation was a little bit lax not the too very strict rules to get by inside the kingdom of King Contqio. King Bizcaro attended to his domestic priorities like his horses. Queen Remencita focus on her

charities to spend her time in the orphanage thinking of her little princess who disappeared. Sometimes the antidote of failures was to face it strongly to feel some ease about the pain. People in their kingdom behaved for the sake of their lost princess longing to see her if their was any hope at all. Pitogo didn't missed to visit Princess Contessa secretly sneaking from the radar of King Contiqio. slipping to the cave inside the forest floor where Princess Contessa lived with his six rabbit friends. Prince Dominique had grown into a fine young man but he chose to leave the kingdom of his father to pursue his career as a physician. He wanted to help the doctors in his kingdom to help the people when they are sick. He doesn't like that an epidemic will spread before it is put under control. King Contiqio was furious having his plans to regain his lost kingdom. With dangling economic resources he can't sustain the big expenditures of a big number of soldiers. His plans were delayed to get back his kingdom . Princess Contessa with limited resources what could she learn from the rabbits her constant companions in the forest? What they can only do was to cheer her up. Her food were all fresh from the forest and her water came from a natural spring. She grew up into a beautiful lady swimming in the nearby stream. Birds came by when she was there to cheer her up with their beautiful songs and colors. They wanted her to become happy too hoping someone would come to rescue her. Prince Dominique graduated from his studies and returned to their kingdom. Pitogo was getting old and he decided to tell the story of Princess Contessa hidden in the cave and the spell Sorcerer Jamila casted to her. When Prince Dominique heard about it he asked Pitogo to go with him to the forest then to the cave where Princess Contessa lived. Princess Contessa was surprised why Pitogo had a companion at this time. Prince Dominique introduced himself to the princess. Having a little time to stay in the forest Prince Dominique broke the spell when he kissed the heartshape mole of Princess Contessa. Princess Contessa woke up from that spell and recognize herself as a princess. Prince Dominique brought Princess Contessa to his father and it was a big celebration when both parents came together and announced their wedding.
