“Why you always run from these types of cases “Ayesha said Malan. “No, I don’t.” facing towards the window he said.
“You do, I always ignore, but this time.” she paused for a second, “your eyes are telling me the truth, and I am with the depth of……..” “For GOD sake…… please stop it”. He didn’t turn his face towards her, he couldn’t because of tears in his eyes. He knows what he had revealed to her. For which he traveled and hide himself…… is always coming back to him. He was on the edge to weep, but he couldn’t make himself weak. He was not good at expressing.
Barcelona 3:00 AM
She wakes up with a phone call, hold the phone from the side table, the Director was calling, she picked the phone.
“Shah speaks” the voice, the phone. “Yes, sir," she replied.
“There is an emergence, hurry up, come to the department.” This was the usual routine of her. She rushed towards the washroom and come out in uniform. She picks the phone, dial a call to number written partner. As the phone replied, she said “hurry up there is a case and also bring some coffee”. She drives to the department. He has been already there and they entered together in the office room. The Director was there waiting for them. “There is a murder case of the Barcelona square, but… it is not a simple case, there is a murder of a boy and girl.”
“Is they were siblings?” the Malan interpreted. “No, the girl from the aside apartment, you two have to go there.” They looked at each other and moved out of the room.
“What are you thinking” Malan asked. “I am thinking of a love affair or something else." Ayesha replied
“May be” Malan said with a sigh.
They drive to the crime scene area and see a tall building over there. The agents there guided to the apartment where the murders happen. As they entered, she saw two dead bodies a 20 year girl and a 10 year old boy. She looked back, both were shocked. This was not the case they were thinking of, Malan move forward and take a look. The boy was on the couch and the young girl was on the floor, both were dead shot and the girl had a gun in her hand. He took the gun with a towel and passed to the other agent. They left the room, search the apartment, but nothing was suspicious. Except in the boy bedroom, the bed was tie the boy didn’t come to bed. They leave the apartment, the parents were weeping inside the hall. They entered into the side apartment from where the girl belongs. They searched the apartment, but nothing comes along. Except the window was open to the balcony, which connected it to the other apartment.
They come to the hall and asked about parents and talk to them. They found out the boys' parents were in the business dealing party. The girl's parents said she was asleep in her bedroom. The boys' parents found out the bodies when they come home at 2 am. They talk to other peoples of the building, but no one knows much. They talk to the girl's parent and asked about the girl. The girl name was Mary, a student in college, she had a gun license. “My daughter was very nice, she had no enemy, she was brave, but she couldn't harm anyone, she wanted to become an agent” Girl’s mom said in cry. Malan took his phone and pulls the picture of the gun towards the parent. Girl’s dad took the phone and said “no’’. This was complicated. They move out and call to the department and tell them about every situation.
“What the girl was doing there? ’’ Ayesha asked. The phone rang meanwhile, as the phone picked by Malan. He runs towards the apartment and Ayesha was along him.
As they come, sir the agent said, we found two more shots on the TV screen and the couch. They are different from the shots of the bodies. “This means there was some else in the apartment.” said Ayesha
“Yes, madam, the forensic department found prints of a guy name Albert on the gun, who live on the fourth floor of this building. Agent Felix has arrested him". They took a breath and moved to the lift. They search the apartment of Albert. They found some alcohol bottles, cigarette ashes on the table. The apartment was a mess and the gun was not found in the apartment.
Ayesha and Malan moved back to the Department. They entered the Director room; he told them about the Albert guy and forwards a file towards Malan. “You go interrogate.” Malan leaved.
Malan asked to Albert but he didn’t accept that, he said he was asleep last night, he said that the gun belongs to him. But I didn’t this. Meanwhile Ayesha entered the room and asked Malan to come out. Ayesha tells Malan about the call from the forensic department. They headed to the lift.
As they entered the lab, Ayesha met her fellow Barbara and introduced to her partner Malan. Barbara says hello and come to the main talk I have a bad news for you. "The girl is deadly shot, but the boy was raped before dead shot”. Ayesha was in shock when she hears the door closing behind her. She excused Barbara.
He didn’t turn his face towards her, because he couldn’t because of tears in his eyes. He knows what he had revealed to her. For which he traveled and hide himself…… is always coming back to him. He was on the edge to weep, but he couldn’t make himself weak. She knew the truth while ago when she do research on him that he was raped by a gang when he was 8. She left him alone so he could compose himself and finally can talk about this, she waited outside the room. As he comes out he was about to speak when Ayesha put her hand on the shoulder and told him she know about it. She knows he can’t express himself. “I hate myself for a victim of this, I can’t forget, I was 8 years old, what was my mistake?” “You have to forgive yourself and forget about it” Ayesha said. “I know it's difficult for you, but you have to….. To save other children’s from this”. Malan holds himself and they moved inside. They asked Barbara for DNA report of the semen. She took a while and handed the report to the Ayesha. They called to the department and the DNA report was matched to the Albert DNA but this didn’t match. As Albert said he was not the criminal. So they were back again to square one. They asked Albert that who has the access to his gun and finger prints. But he said he had a lot of friends. And he threw a house party last Monday. The list of the entire guests, who was invited to the party. They forward the list to Barbara. And the DNA tests were taken of all the guests one by one. The DNA report matched to one guest DNA, whose name was Alex.
He was one of Albert work friends. They took the address of that guy and had a search warrant. They go to the apartment of Alex, but he was not here. They searched the apartment and the gun was not found. The neighbors tell them he was not home since Monday. They searched for him and found he was on the road pretending to be a beggar. They took him to the Department, but he didn’t admit the crime. But when the report was put in front of him. He admitted the crime. He tells them that he was there for the boy and the boy was making noise so the girl come from the balcony and put a fire on me and this make me attentive, which shot on TV. Then I grab the girl and we had fought, he shot again, which was on the couch. Meanwhile, I snatched the gun and shot both of them, they have seen my face. Then I go to the Albert apartment and took the gun of Albert and put back girls hand. He tells about the girl’s gun he throws in the garbage near the building. This was found by agents. So the case was close, as the criminal was arrested.
After all of this, Malan goes to meet the boy's parents, because he knows these things bring pain to them. He couldn’t speak there; he was not good at expressing or saying things. He just remains silent and spent time with them, just giving a hug to them and making a dinner for them.
