Blackout Heist

The police sirens ring as loud as an earthquake, dozens of them come running by as the power has come back on. The suspects have been spotted, but the deal isn't over yet.

(2 weeks prior to the blackout) Frank and Henry had just finished a smash and grab on the local liquor store. The plan was to go in quite but Henry screwed it up and decided to go in loud. They only shot the one guard during the steal. They finished this job and had a score of around eight hundred dollars. No one was able to see their face and they left undetected. Frank and Henry were practically professionals at robbing these little stores, unaccompanied vehicles and sometimes they would rob small banks if they needed the money. Frank no longer was satisfied with these jobs he wanted more, he wanted to rob something that would boggle the minds of the people of Los Angeles, He wanted to rob the US bank tower. Both of them wanted to do this but this was going to need a lot of planning and setting up. First thing they needed to do was to find some extra hands to do this heist, luckily they knew some guys. They met up with three guys, Ben, Michael and Lester. Lester is a former technician who knows his way around with technology , Michael is a well rounded theft who has done great heists before. Ben is a rookie but has shown great talent when hitting liquor stores. Now that they have formed a team they need an headquarters, something that wouldn't be suspected. They bought a very cheap abandoned clothing factory off of the LA River, it wasn’t the nicest building but it worked. They need some equipment now, you can’t just walk into an elite bank such as this one without being prepared. First thing they did was write a list kind of like one you would write when going to the grocery store except you are stealing instead of purchasing the items. The list contained a micro drone, a helicopter, untraceable weapons with military grade suppressors and some way to find out how to enter the building undetected. First thing they did was building the microdrone Lester figured a way out to buy the parts from the internet undetected. Lester then told Frank and Ben to drive their old van towards the downtown and to toss the drone in the sky. Lester would then control the drone to scope out the entrance from the roof. Lester stated that the wind was very powerful and they would need to be cautious when up there. Lester then located the vault with the drone through the vents and saw what the valuables were. Lester told the crew that it was solid cash. Not gold, silver or paintings just cash. He then flew the drone out without letting anyone in the building ever know he was there. Frank was relieved it was cash knowing how heavy the other valuables were, still they would need launderers with the amount of money they would steal. Lester estimated that there was around three million dollars in the vault. Now they needed a helicopter, the guys argued over where to get it from, Michael and Frank wanted to steal a police helicopter as they landed at the station while Henry and Ben wanted to steal it from a news station. Lester agreed with Henry and Ben, It was too risky to steal it from the police. This time all four of the field team went to get this very expensive piece of equipment. They could not just pull up in regular outfits so they dressed up as guards to avoid unwanted attention. The news station was not very popular but they still had the helicopter on the roof. The guys took the elevator to the roof but the helicopter was about to take off! Michael took quick action and hijacked the vehicle and took out the camera guy. He put a gun to the pilots head and told him to land in an inconspicuous spot in the hills, the pilot did not try anything stupid but when he landed he damaged the blades a little bit. They called Lester to tell him they have the helicopter all ready to go. About a week into setting up Lester found a cargo truck delivering to a casino, unlike most cargo trucks that carry water, food and oil this one was carrying weapons. The security truck contained some M4-A1 assault rifles, and M9 Berettas, this truck was coming straight from a military depot. Lester came up with a plan to disguise as guards and take the shipment into a truck and be as sneaky as possible, and maybe they can take a look to see if there is anything else they can use on the heist. This time Henry, Ben and Frank went to pick off this piece of equipment. They pulled it off all according to plan until Henry noticed a bomb shaped item. This in fact was a bomb but not really one that causes an explosion but rather one that would turn the power off in a whole region. Henry went to move this into the truck until the driver noticed them grabbing the power bomb. The driver pulled a gun on him and started shooting. Luckily the driver had a terrible shot and missed him. A huge shootout erupted in the casino’s basement. All three of them took cover behind the old truck. They were pinned down behind the car, the security was not making ground towards them but they could not move around without almost getting shot. Henry opened the door of the truck as fast as he could and the others followed right behind him. The glass shattered as gunshots whizzed by, Henry started the engine while the others fired back at the guards. Henry pushed the car into its fastest gear and sped off with the weapons, unfortunately the fight was not over and they had called the police for reinforcements. Soon enough the crew was speeding down the freeway with about six police cars chasing after them. Henry saw spike traps up ahead so he turned off the freeway into the river. They needed to get out of the river because it was too easy to see them in such an open area. Ben yelled at Henry to turn into the sewers to lose the cops. The police did not follow them into the sewer, instead they blocked off every sewer entrance in the river. Henry not having ever entered the sewers before had no idea how to get out. They drove for hours taking multiple turns to find a way out. Finally they saw light at the end of a tunnel and they were out of the sewers. The exit was at Santa Monica beach, it was night time so no one saw them leaving the sewer in the truck. Unfortunately during all of the driving the car had run out of gas and they had no money. Frank without hesitation, walked towards the parking lot by the pier and sneakily broke into a black SUV. He drove it down the sand towards the dead truck and moved the weapons and the sonic bomb into the SUV. It was a long drive back to the headquarters, but they had everything to start this job. One week and six days after setting up, they have the equipment, the muscle and the brains. All that needs to be done is getting up there and robbing this place. All four of the field team went in the helicopter where the pilot is still being held hostage. The pilot lifted off, and they were headed to the tallest tower in the downtown of Los Angeles. Lester earlier in the week placed the power bomb in the SUV in the downtown, this bomb will turn all power off for one hours giving the crew enough time to get in, take out any guards in the way, get the goods and get out. They were about to land, it was night time and Lester just detonated the bomb. The lights were out, the city was stopped. They successfully landed, they left Michael in the helicopter to make sure the pilot stayed there. The crew busted through the door underneath the helipad; they swiftly turned their night vision goggles on and shot the guards that were on the path to the stairs. They were on level seventy-two and they needed to get to level sixty four, they grappled down the stairs since walking down would waste time. They had to pass a lot of guards to get to the vault; they did all of this sneakily. They made it to the vault but it was very difficult to open up. They drilled every bolt off to crack it open. Around the time they finally entered the vault 20 minutes passed so they needed to be quick in the vault. The vault was huge, about sixty feet long and forty feet wide and thirteen feet tall and filled with paper bills. They started chucking cash into their bags. They were bewildered by the amount of money in this vault, they were thinking of all the things they could buy with how much money they would make. By the time they filled their bags fifty five minutes had passed, they went to the stairs and climbed up the grapple. It took longer to climb up the grapple than going down and while they were climbing up the power came back up and the cameras spotted what happened. The police have been called and they sent dozens of cars and two helicopters. The crew ran to the helicopter but it was undriveable because of the damaged rotor blades. They needed to take immediate action, they saw parachutes in the back of the helicopter so they grabbed them and agreed to land on the nearest rooftop parking lot to grab a car. They jumped off the building, one thousand feet above the ground, they dived towards the lot. They each pull their chutes and land roughly on the roof. They broke into a brand new sedan and took off. And that's when they heard the police sirens ringing as loud as an earthquake. The police came after them by the dozens and they fled off again on a freeway. The car they got in was a sports sedan so it was very fast. They drove for an hour and they had created a big lead between them and the authorities but they had not lost them yet. They decided it would be a good idea to head to the airport to steal an airplane. They then drove off speeding faster than before to get the plane. They made a jump off the road onto the runway and headed to the nearest jet. They busted the door of the aircraft and shouted at everyone to get out. Michael having some experience with planes started the takeoff. The plain was lifting off the ground and it was airborne. They were not on the plane for long though, they were using it as a distraction. The plan was to take the cops attention on the plane while they parachuted into a remote area of the city, some place like at the Griffiths observatory. They jumped out of the plane and were once again in parachutes in the sky. They landed just outside of Griffiths park with everyone intact and they started to head over to the headquarters with the score. They took the cash to some launderers because it would be too suspicious if they took that much cash home. They split the money twenty percent each and they all left. This was how the Blackout Heist was committed.
