We do faith a disservice in laying at its doorstep the fundamental causes of faction. (wb). Faith contributes to the form and the content of the ideals that guide the aspirations we harbor for our own lives, and it affects the way we regard and behave with respect to others. (wb)
If you are insecure in your faith, Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s invitation to enlighten yourself and take a walk may help. You. Do you feel not yet ready, not focused enough to come to self discretion and self choice?
A child looks to the adults in the room for guidance-that is if they are allowed the freedom to ask, the freedom to question. Children are like a beautiful garden. And if pruned and cultivated like a beautiful flower or a tasty carrot😉 must be tended to with honesty and careful reverence.
When a child has not yet come to the age of discretion and choice, and an adult may have other “ideas”, the beautiful garden may get overtaken with weeds. The weeds have taken the Liberty to grow. It is unfair within ourselves to prejudice the soil towards roses and strawberries. (wb)
Got it? Get it? Good!
A good old cultivated soul requires faith, a dash of hope and a ginormous landscape of love.
Faith requires no proofs!
Emily Dickinson said so!😇
”I never saw a moor,
I never saw the sea;
Yet know I how the heather looks,
And what a wave must be.
😃
I never spoke with God,
Nor visited in heaven;
Yet certain am I of the spot
As if the chart were given.(wb)
It has been said:
When you have your health, you have everything.🤕😷😵💫🤒
But. (My apologies, always a but lately…..)
When you have your health, you have everything.
And unfortunately maybe someone else does too🤨
Our world is imperfect. The more we work to perfectly contribute our tithes, our talents to its beautiful growth, the better we will all become.But we gotta get there first. Moving mountains takes some time.
Takes my time.
Takes your time.
Takes time.
Sometimes.
Speaking of leafy green garden, John Greenleaf Whittier said “the steps of faith fall on the seeming void, but find the rock beneath.” (wb)
The Rock. The Solid Rock. The Rock of the Family. The Rock of all time. The Rock of the beautiful children watching. The Rock of the beautiful children waiting.
Never assume. My belief is we have crossed this point before—if one assumes, they may make an a** out of u and me.🤣 Seriously. We should not assume that disciplined faith springs from the heart of its own accord. We do not necessarily “find” such faith on our own.
Hurray! Hurray! It’s Quiz time:
Who said this?
No fair checking the answers in the back of the book. Or in today’s case, at the end of the story. Promise to disclose the role model. At the end of our lesson on faithful mountainous journeys near the end of today’s story of today’s faithful mountainous journey. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Who admitted he did not know the difference between right and wrong in his youth. Spent most of his boyhood living over his father’s saloon in Baltimore. Incorrigible. Listed as an “Incorrigible”. And sent off to an orphanage. An industrial school in Baltimore.
”I doubt if any appeal could have straightened me out except a Power over and above man—the appeal of God. Iron-rod discipline couldn’t have done it. Nor all the punishment and rewards systems could have been devised.”
”God had an eye out for me”👁, just as He has for you, and He was pulling for me to make the grade.”
”As I look back now, I realize that knowledge of God was a big crossroads with me. I got one thing straight (and I wish all kids did)—that God was Boss. He was not only my Boss but Boss of all bosses.” (wk)
The Kids Can’t Take It If We Don’t Give It. What?
Faith.
In a Higher Power.
How?
Service of and to our Fellow Man.
Man may fail Faith, but Faith never fails man.
How cool is that?
Faith leads us to employ our God-given talents in God’s service.
How awesome is that?
Pretty awesome.

Permission granted to rest your eyes, watch the back of your eye lids, take a well deserved rest. 😴😴 He is watchful and protective. Of you. Always. Faithfully. Diligently, Gently.
Sleep, My Babe
And peace attend thee,
All through the night;
Guardian angels God will lend thee,
All through the night;
Soft the drowsy hours are creeping,
Hill and vale in slumber sleeping,
Mother dear her watch is keeping,
All through the night.
God is here, thou’lt not be lonely,
All through the night;
’Tis not I who guards thee only,
All through the night.
Night’s dark shades will soon be over,
Still my watchful care shall hover,
God with me His watch is keeping,
All through the night. (wk)
Go ahead, ditch or pitch the NyQuil☺️.
You will be ok…
The boogey man does not stand a chance.
It can be flabbergasting. (Bs)
It can be surprising.
It can be awesome.
But How?
Mark Twain once said he had known a lot of troubles in his life, and most of them never happened. We imagine many of our fears into existence. To avoid foolish cowardice, refrain from too much mountain-making out of molehills.(wb)
How?
Courage.
Plato said Courage is KNOWING what to fear.
Courage + Faith = You.
”You can do it!!”
It is easy to join the club, follow the crowd, be one of the guys or gals. It may be more difficult, even better to stand alone with courage and faith.
So. Take the leap.
The Leap of Faith.
In no way does it mean it is not scarey, or lonely sometimes.
Be bold.
Stand at the plate.
Lift your arm in the air.
Point in the direction you want to go.
And call YOUR shot.
After a life of trial and tribulations, the Incorrigible Bambino, the Great Bambino did just that.
Babe Ruth called his shot,
He hit a Home Run
From my perspective?….
I think he was sincerely pointing to God.😇
