My grandmother happens to be a very good woman who loves seeing the cloud set and the high wind blowing. She feels so excited knowing that. The rain is a symbol of nature's glory given to her as an African woman on the east coast of Nigeria.
She gathers her goats, chickens, and firewood inside and set her local bed to lie down while the rain falls for hours none stop. I feel blessed to have known that l came from a continent we have to answer the nature's call which is the six months of the outpouring of the rain.
A period everyone prefers to stay indoors and feel the warmness of their bed and local kitchen where they roast local corns and share it within themselves while outside is covered up with heavy rainfall.
The trees give out its nature of glory blowing the cool gentle breeze that blows up after the rainfall.
indoors we realized the beauty of everything created to be and happen at their seasons.
A day it rains cat and dog, movements are restricted. Neighbours assist each other with food crossing the next door with a pretty smile to ask for food.
It's a great joy to see my grandmother giving out the local potatoes she made to the neighbour with a warm welcome.
subsequently, she often looks out through her window looking at the sky becoming more cloudy as she says. "The beauty of life is seeing that nature will bless me with natural water to fill in my water pot. Heaven will pour out its blessings onto me. My plantation will feel the true nutrient of nature and the next day after the rain l will have enough fruits and vegetables to harvest". Staying indoors for four to five days during the heavy raining season has become a natural phenomenon to a typical African. It is a traditional celebration in some part which comes with a higher level of service to one another indoors.
when it rains the young maidens gathers in a little local hut to discuss how their lovers would go for hunting the next day to cut mighty bush meat for them.
" The outflow of rain is an exceptional feeling we often long to have at every six months of rainfall each year.
Being indoors has become a Belief which enlightens the Spirit of every African to demonstrate the natural feeling of their lives and season.
A night of rainfall is the beginning of a new bright day in the neighbourhood. The early morning songs from the birds on the tree brighten the heart.
On a very faithful day. I prepared to go to the market where l had to sell some vegetables. I look at the cloud alarming.
I thought of staying back home and get myself covered with my warm clothes. Suddenly l noticed a thunderstorm with lightning which frighten me and drove me inside. I was so disappointed that l able to go to the market. On the other hand, l was happy because of the outpouring about to hit down will secure a hot traditional cup of tea and a roster corn.
Roasted corn is the best way to enjoy raining season indoors.
Nature will always give you something to rejoice about and something to weep about.
When you just wanted small rain, but it’s now raining every day. You have no choice but to stay indoors.
I felt this natural sensation when l know that at my saddest moment the rain will pour down to make me feel worthy.
A day without rain during the raining season is a day without air.
A day with heavy rainfall is so blissful to couples to hold tight each other while they feel the romantic moment given by the cool weather brought by the rain.
The belly of eighty-five per cent African women goes big as the indoors vibes give them the blessings of nature that would last for the nine months.
The joy to have a baby during the raining season often refers to romantic moments is one of the greatest joy of every African woman whose husband was able to make the women in her becomes a pride to behold.
One faithful day. Dyke and l happen to fall in love. I could remember our first lovely moment was during the raining season. Meeting Dyke as my first love was an excellent choice. He had our first day indoors because of the outpouring of the rain couldn't allow us to step out to one of the nearest cafe close to our home.
Dyke suggested we should meet in his place. I accepted his proposal and went. On getting to his doorsteps it began to rain. He felt so happy knowing that it is going to be a bliss indoors between us.
I love the fact that we spent a whole day in his warm bed while the rain falls. Through his window, we felt a natural breeze blowing upon us without obstruction.
The trees were clamping their hands realising the right natural bliss through the drizzling of the raindrop.
After we had had our first-time touch. I went straight to the kitchen made roasted corn for him as the traditional practice being carried indoors during this raining season.
I called him into the kitchen and he stood beside my back holding my waist as l serve the corn into a plate.
We both sat together and feed each other.
The rain often creates a mutual feeling!
The rain gives you a chance to get a good facial expression!
Staying indoors becomes something unusual you would want to miss out!
There is always something remarkable to gain from everything.
There is always a life lesson ought to be learned that is attached to everything.
To be born in a continent where rainfall is a natural phenomenon in a heritage which often last for six good months is one of my pride and joy.
After l spent my Lily time with Dyke my lover indoors, we promise each other to have our wedding during the raining season in order to make it a remarkable day.
Why did we make the decision? Because we actually wanted our honeymoon to be indoors during the raining season.
It was a nice suggestion and we both targeted our plans. At the end of the day, it becomes a reality.
The rain comes to chase humans inside!
To enjoy the bliss is to embrace the opportunity it brings.
