7:00 am alarm getting up, 7:07 get ready, 7:30 coffee, 7:40 car, 7:45 traffic, arriving at 8:05 arriving at work. Now from the thousands of people living in New York City can you guess whose very original routine this is, well in general more than 2,000 human beings but today in this very moment in that 2,000 give or take, it's also our very own Ava Adlers routine. “You have a zoom call with Mr. Daiki at 2:15 and the new Peral calendar is coming out today,” said Carly as Miss. Adler entered the building, she sounded like her throat had become a megaphone with a monotone voice option overnight, but she was her assistant so I guess it is her job. “Also Ms. Brown is in your office,” said Carly “WHAT! CARLY! She isn't supposed to get back till Wednesday we talk about texting me if any plans changed,” said Ava with anger and desperation “oops sorry Miss. Adler,” said Carly. Honestly, if it was me, I would have gotten a new assistant in 2018, but I'm just here to navigate you through the situation so not my place. “Hi, Ms. Brown how was the honeymoon”. If you’ve ever heard one of those, switch to a different phone plan commercials, this is exactly how Ava sounded right now. It’s a mix between being held against your will and customer service. “like anyone else honeymoon” said Ms. Brown “Oki” Ava responded “where are those Miller honey reports they should be signed and making us money by now" she said “Ms. Brown there have been just a few bumps on the road , they want to keep it home made at family friendly I mean you understand being married and successful that letting go is hard sometimes” said Ava “what I understand is money , I also understand that you are going to go down there and sign them personally for the trouble and if you don’t, you can kiss your money bye-bye" said Ms. Brown “yes ma'am I was just about to do that” said Ava “today” said Ms. Brown “TODAY, I mean yes today I completely freed everything so that I could do that,” said Ava “whatever you need to tell yourself, okay GO NOW time is money, money is time,” said Ms. Brown “of course” said Ava coming out of the office looking like she had seen a ghost with a monkey on their head singing don’t stop me now by queen while doing back flips, she pulled herself together to say “Carly cancel my day” almost in a whispering , “why?” asked Carly “you don’t need to know why just cancel and pack a bag you're coming with me” said Ava “that sounds like I should know why” answer Carly “just do it” yelled Ava walking out of the building. While getting on the phone to call James, now James is Ava's boyfriend, he's as if a middle school boy and an old businessman were mixed together and named Kyle. Your call cannot be answered at the time leave a message at the tone, oh yeah, he probably business cheating on you with his assistant “hey babe I'm leaving town for a bit to sign a deal in person call me when you get this” said Ava, ah yes if blindness had a baby with Navie, it would be Ava's relationship with James. Seeing Carly “you're ready to not get fired,” said Ava “WHAT,” said Carly “yes Carly if I go down you go with me, now let's go time is money, and money is time,” said Ava. Less than 1 hour into the ride and you could hear a pin drop from a farm in Alabama, I mean if the dryness was a conversation this would be the Sahara des- “What's your plan, how are you going to get them to sign” asked Carly, “I’ll just give them what they want to sell them that we want for them to expanded their family made products into an even bigger family” said Ava “isn't that what you're going to do” asked Carly “sort of but with higher prices and when they sign eventually we will have enough liberty to do whatever we want to the line” answered ava “so your lying to them” questioned Carly “not really it's more like withholding some truths its what's the industry is all about you’ll learn through time” said Ava “your right I guess "answered Carly. Cluck, Cluck, Cluck the car sounded like a crashing airplane that ate a dying cow  “what's that” said Carly “oh no, oh no, no, no it’s the car not now, not now” said Ava as the car came to a halt “we are in the middle of nowhere, why couldn’t it break down next to a 5-star hotel” said Carly “it's fine I will call someone and we will be back in the road in no time” said Ava as she searched her purse, that did, in fact, have a hole and no phone “my phone fell, my phone fell okay that fine Carly calls someone on yours” said Ava “this might be a bad time but my battery is dead” said Carly “are you kidding me you better tell me your kidding” said Ava while anger and frustration oozed out with her every word “well I didn’t want to talk to you in the car so I used up all the battery” said Carly “that is the worst excuse ever Carly you know what you are banned from talking right now” said Ava “but” started Carly “BANNED” hist Ava. So, Ava and Carly are stranded with a car that doesn't work, in the middle of nowhere with each other, this is either going to go terrible or Hunger games terrible, or who knows maybe they’ll bond “I can't believe you Carly you’re my assistant you suppose to assist me” Ava snarled. Then again maybe not bond but I mean it can't really get any worse than this. “I know I'm banned from talking but there are coyotes here just thought you should know,” said Carly “OH MY GOD, okay we will be fine let's leave the car and walk to the nearest place we can find before it gets dark,” said Ava. So, they walked on their journey through bumps on the road and potholes and a lot of green trees. “let's walk through there, straight through should be a gas station “said Ava “yes let's take a shortcut through the creepy woods” said Carly sarcastically. Walking through there would have worked except for the – ahhhhhhhh “oh my god are you okay” asked Ava “I'm alive and you,” said Carly. To clarify yes Ava and Carly were in a hole deep, large, hole I would have told them to watch their step but no one listens to me so, so they are now in a hole. “How are we going to get out of here? I don't want to die! I'm not ready to die! all I've done in life is go to college to be stressed and then get out of college to work for a terrible lady who verbally abuses me” cried Carly “Hey that terrible lady is in the hole with you” slightly offended Ava answered “Not you even though you're no sunshine I mean Ms. Brown I don’t want to work for her forever, I mean what if I'm 28 and still working for her” said Carly “I'm 28 and still working for her” even more offended Ava answered “And your happy” asked Carly “it's good money and I have a relationship and I'm still young” said Ava “you didn’t answer the question though, I mean is this really what you dreamed about for life,” said Carly. “Not really I wanted to live in a cottage and sell honey and vegetables and milk but that isn't realistic. I mean, did you dream about being an assistant? ” answered Ava “not really I wanted to be a writer but this was more realistic” answered Carly “Exactly and if you work hard you can get promoted and be happier “ said Ava “but if this doesn’t make as happy now then won't we just be miserable with a higher level in work” questioned Carly “well- getting ready to say something Ava pause “I think I hear something "whispered ava “IS SOMEONE OUT HERE” a deep male voice asked “it could be a serial killer” whispered Carly “HELP DOWN HERE HELP IN THE HOLE” yelled Ava “AVA what part of serial killer told you to yell” said Carly “serial killer or bears Carly” answered Ava. “HELP DOWN IN THE HOLE HELP US WE FELL DOWN HERE HELP” they both yelled, as an older-looking guy with white hair looked down he said “my name is mike don’t worry I'm calling the sheriff you’ll be okay," he said “THANK YOU SIR” yelled Ava a few minutes later you could hear sirens and a few minutes after that a few hats poked at the top of the hole. “ARE YOU LADYS ALRIGHT, ANYONE INJURED?” the policeman asked “WE'RE OKAY JUST WISHING TO BE AT NORMAL GROUND LEVEL” Ava answered “GOOD TO KNOW” said the policeman “GO TO ONE SIDE WE ARE LOWERING A LADER DOWN?” said policeman number two.What I don’t know is their names they are one, two, and three me. oh yeah  “MAKE SURE WE DON'T HIT YOU,” said policemen number three,.see I forgot about him, so as they lowered the ladder and Carly and Ava dogged it just as it hit the floor they began to climb it till they saw the moon, and 3 strangely handsome policemen “I'm Dave are you okay ma’am” said policeman number one or Dave, “ I am now “ said Ava as she was directed to the car with Carly as they drove down to the station Carly questioned  “what if we died” “CARLY that's very morbid but thank God we didn’t” answered Ava “no I mean really If we did then we would have died doing something for money or something we hate and not our dream” said Carly “but - Ava was about to say when the policeman number one interrupted  “okay we made it to the station” . God, Dave read the room anyway getting out of the car and into the station Ava asked “can I use the phone please”, “here you go” said the desk assistant. As Ava marked the number and called, she thought about what Carly had said I mean she was happy, right? Snapping back into reality just in time they left a message at the beep “hey James it's been a long night I'm coming home” she said while dialing for a cab for her and Carly. “Hey the cabs here,” said Carly as half-awake Ava got in. They gave the directions to the cab driver first Carly got dropped off and then Ava as Ava goes to open the door she hears voices could James be on the phone at this time I mean it's pretty late, she opens the door and yep there is  James and his assistant bad time to say I told you so “JAMES what is wrong with you I have had the worst night of my life and you are you kidding me what is that” said Ava as she felt a push and another one and another one “you okay babe you looked like you were having a nightmare” said James opening her eyes she couldn’t believe that it was a dream it was all a dream but it felt so real. Looking at the time, 7:00 am so she half woke herself up, got ready, had a coffee, and car, battled traffic, and arrived at work. No Carly was yelling at her, so she looked around for Carly and found her in Ms. Brown's office what did she do questioned Ava in her mind. when Carly walked out she asked “what's going on” “I quit,” said Carly “WHAT why” questioned Ava “I had a really weird dream actually you were in it I just decided this wasn’t what I wanted to do in life,” she said “you want to be a writer,” said Ava “how did you know, did you, “ asked Carly “yeah and you did and now you are leaving” asked Ava “look I don’t know how this is even possible but if it is then I hope you get your cottage,” said Carly as she walked out the door. “Ava bring me the reports, “ Ms. Brown said and Ava went to get them. See this Is the thing with realizing you're on the wrong path you can realize and do something about it or you can stay too afraid, Carly and Ava both have the same knowledge they know the same thing but Carly left and Ava, Ava doesn't know how but she walks to Ms. Brown's office, but sometimes you do realize before it's too late “Ms. Brown I quit” said, Ava. So, at the end of the line, you can say you did what was best for your story and not somebody else's.
