The Secret in the snow

" Mom, I'm going to head out for a little bit" Said Jules.

"Okay , just be back by 7:30, were having your favorite for dinner, White rice, and canned tuna." Said Jules mother.

" Ok, Mom I will." Said Jules.

Jules walked outside, today was a very cold day, and it had snowed overnight, and she really needed to get out and away from the trailer park, they lived in, right now it was really hard on her and her family because they couldn't really afford anything right now. And they didn't even really live in a house, they lived in a beaten down trailer park.

She was walking in the icy snow when she came across a melting snowbank, she looked down at it, and saw something poking out of it. She leaned down and picked it up. It was a necklace, one of the most beautiful est one she had ever seen, it was a long necklace in the shape of a diamond, in the middle was a diamond, and on the outside it had all the birthstones.

She looked around and put it in her pocket, and kept on walking. She thought " This necklace has to be worth alot of money, but I cant tell my parents, I'll take it to the pawn shop tommorow to see how much money it is, Its probably just like 20 dollars, enough to get me a good meal and something for my family." So she turned around and walked home, back to her trailer park home.

She got back home at 7:15, her mom was cooking dinner.

"Hey, honey how was your walk." Asked Jules mom

" It was good Mom, its great to get out of the house for a little bit." Said Jules.

"Yeah I know, look honey I know its probably been really hard for you, but I promise I am trying my best to get us out of here and to a bigger, and better house." Said Jules Mom.

" Mom, its ok. I know you are trying your best, we just got to wait." Said Jules.

"Yeah, I love you." Said Jules Mom

I , love you too" Said Jules

Jules walked into her room, and put the necklace in her 1st drawer of clothes, which had her socks in it.

She walked back into the dining room to eat dinner, which was white rice, and canned tuna. It wasn't the best, but it kind of filled the hole. Dinner was done and everybody was done eating, Jules had already gotten a shower and was getting ready for bed. Little did she know but the necklace she had picked up earlier was now glowing in the socks drawer, while she was sleeping.

It was the next morning and Jules woke up pretty early, so she could eat breakfast, and so she could go to the pawn store.

"Mom I'm heading out, I'll be back soon." Said Jules.

"Ok, dont stay out to late."Said Jules mom.

"OK, bye." Said Jules

She stepped outside, the pawn store was a couple miles away, so she would have to take her bike there. So she got on her bike, she made her way to the pawn store. She got there around noon. Nobody was at the store except for the owner, so she walked in. She walked up to the front desk and rang the bell on the table. A fat, tall, muscular man came up to the desk, " How can I help you today young lady." Said the man.

"Umm yes sir, I would like to know the price of something." said Jules.

"Okay, well what is the item." Asked the man.

Jules pulled the necklace out of her pocket and put it on the counter. " Hmmmm this a very pretty necklace, hold on I will take it back into my shop and have a look at it and let you know."Said the man.

"Ok, thank you." Said Jules

The man was in the back for what seemed like forever, he finally emerged from his shop after a while.

" Hey, Ive figured out the price of this." Said the man

"Ok, andd." Said Jules

" This necklace is worth 140,000.00 dollars." Said the man

"Omg, are u serious right now." Said Jules.

" Yes, im pretty serious." Said the man.

" Well how do i get the money." Asked Jules.

" I give it to you in exchange for the necklace." Said the man.

" Oh, ok well here you go." Said Jules and handed the man the necklace.

He took it and put it in a pretty case, and reached in his cashier, he counted out a bunch of money and handed it to her.

" There you go, 140,000.00 right there." Said the man.

"Thank you so much." Said Jules.

" Your welcome, have a great day." Said the man

"You too." Said Jules

Jules made her way out of the Pawn store, and got on her bike, before she decided to go home, she went to McDonald, and ordered 2 cheeseburgers, 2 large fries, and a Large Dr. pepper.

It was the best food she had had since, she was little which was hard to remember, she wanted to tell her parents but they would probably just take the money and she wanted to buy a house herself for them.

So after getting the food she made her way back home, and dinner was ready, so she ate some but not all of it because she was full. So she went to bed, Before she had came home she had bought her parents and her a new home, in fact it was a mansion ,but she had to tell them somehow. she thought" Ill tell them early in the morning.

So morning finnally came around and it was time to tell them. " Ok everyone i have something to announce, well i kind of found a necklace that somebody lost and I exchanged it for money which was alot and I bought us a new house, " Said Jules.

Her parents didn't believe her until they got in the car to where the house was supposed to be and saw a huge mansion which was under their name, so it was their forever thanks to a necklace that Jules found in the snow one day.
